FYI....better to run all the wiring along bottom door jams and along carpets edge and around back, no gravity on wires, well hidden and tucked away and most door jams already have wiring placement ruts...I have yet to do mine but its coming. Thanks for the vid...Jeep looks very nice. 😎👍
What ya do is take the cb bracket and mount it under passenger seat keeps it out of the way and ya just face it forward so you can get to the knobs ,, works well for me..
Great install video. I have a 2009 Doge Journey and a ham radio operator and it is not radio friendly. I can't run anything in the headliner. Has side airbags and would be a mess trying to take the whole headliner out so I had to run all my wires along the door jams. I'm thinking about doing a video of my install.
I have an 05 jeep grand cherokee and have the bearcat 880. Right now I have a k30 magnet mount antenna and I'm very diapointed. I was considering a 5' firestik fs and this same mount with spring. How is it performing? Did you use an external meter to tune or just the cb's internal meter?
My Stryker SR-955HPC IS A GREAT ALL AROUND RADIO GREAT RECEIVE AM TRANSMIT! ON SSB AND AM! WOULD BUY AGAIN 955 OR 655 OR 497 IF YOU'RE A TRUCKER! 10-4!!
If you add the quick disconnect on top of the spring it's going to give you high swr. Use either the spring or quick disconnect dont use both together.

Never used it. I just pull antenna forward and attach to roof mount when not using. Still very happy with install and performance

Are you using a no-ground plane antenna or a regular antenna?

i would have got a uniden pro510xl cb radio with hood mount with fiberglass antenna

a9005 He's running a daystar 2.5 inch spacer lift with 245 70 17 maxxis tires with one inch spacers.
