- Hello! Hope you're enjoying your day so far! In this vlog, I spent the day hand sewing patchwork and putting together a mini ironing board for my crafting table where I can iron small pieces of fabrics. All the materials used are what I already have at home, so this was very budget friendly and I had a fun time making it! My husband made me a mini board like this. We are currently in Croatia visiting our son. I have his large quilt that I am finishing, all hand sewn, as well as the centrepieces for quilts for my other two children. I have brought with me my two small irons and the mini ironing board which are always part of my luggage wherever I am in the world. So great.

@@kikosabi thank you. I started sewing in 2020 and people on UA-cam, like you, were my teachers. My first quilt, a reversible queen sized story/ photo quilt took two years. I finished it in 2022 and took it to South Africa while sewing in Croatia and South Africa and I delivered it to my granddaughter. This current quilt, so far I’m busy 18 months, but I stopped when we went out of the country or took our van on the road. I have to finish this quilt now before we leave. Yes, you are correct, having smaller tools and hand sewing only, means I can travel anywhere with my projects.
