Hi, Mel. I've just finished binge-watching all your videos. Thank you for the effort you put into them. You are a real adventurer! You're not afraid to try all sorts of finishes, or change charts to suit yourself, and I admire that! I'm recently returned to xs and am still feeling my way. Re: your sampler of firsts, the gap between Belinda and Michael could perhaps be filled a bit if Belinda had a microphone in her outstretched hand? I see Alice is on a blue part of the Barbie Girl fabric. I think that's fabulous! All the best for your May prep. 🧵🪡🙃
Love watching your progress on Alice it is such a fun stitch. My favorite baby animal is puppies with their sweet faces, tiny waggy tails and toe beans who wouldn't love that xxx
Loved the update! Thanks for showing your learning curve. I’ve just learned to sew since the ‘rona, so sometimes I freak out when things don’t turn out just right.
Loved spending time with you while stitching! You’ve made a lot of progress on your Hawk Run piece, I need to start that one! How cute is your new kitty? Those are my favorite baby animals!! Happy stitching 🧵 hugs Debbie
Welcome, Lilly - we'll look forward to seeing you in the future! I understand your loss, and extend my sympathy. Our 17-year-old Siamese died on 1/6/21; unfortunately, we're too old to be able to promise a kitten 20 years of love, so I'll just have to enjoy Lilly's furry self from afar. Kitties are my favorite baby animal.
I think your egg came out so great for your first try. Your Brenda Gervais came out so beautiful !! The colors of the egg and the bird are so perfect. My favorite baby animals are bunnies !
Eeeeeek! That was my name that came up in the drawing for Autumn Squirrel. That’s so exciting! Thank you Mel. I’ve sent you an email. 😉 Enjoyed seeing your finishes. Your egg may not be perfect but it makes you laugh and we can all use a bit more laughter in our lives right now. I haven’t tried stitching on 40 count yet so I’m curious to follow your progress. And then there’s Lily... what can I say? 🐱❤️
So happy to check in with you. I’m sorry to hear about your old kitty, and Lilly is adorable. I love your wonky egg so much! I think imperfections are what make hand made pieces so fun and interesting and it’s something that will make you laugh every time you put it out. You thread choice for Alice was perfect! Have a wonderful month
Another great video Mel. Good luck with the 40 count. Beautiful colour. My favourite baby animal is too hard to pick, kittens are gorgeous, puppies are heavenly, but baby calves with their big doe eyes and frolicking lambs in the paddock make you realise that all new life is precious. Enjoy your jaunting about.
Lilly is absolutely adorable!!! I’m sorry to hear about Levi, but what a great home you gave him! I think your egg looks great 😁 You got so much stitching done! Loved your Alice Quaker, what a beautiful pattern ❤️
Lily is so sweet! We just have a puppy, but I can't imagine how hard it is to have to say goodbye, but Lily will fill that void with lots of love! I love the finishes, especially the Bees!
Great finishes Mel, even the learning curve. Lily is so cute, her colouring and her ears!! So so cute. I am sorry for your loss of Levi, there is definitely a hole when we lose our pets. Love your spin on Alice's dress, it looks so good. I think you are going to love 40 count, you can use any pattern on it, I have done some Mirabilias on it, just to reduce their size. Take care and have fun with Lily.
Oh my....all baby animals are so cute...how does one decide on the cutest??? I think the baby hares that show up yearly under our hedge are adorable , but we do need to be very careful when mowing the grass ! It was fantastic catching up with you and I loved all your finishes....the wonky egg was my favorite I think :) Perfection is highly overrated and the uniqueness of the egg speaks to my primitive loving soul
I would have to say BABY goats are my favourite they are so sweet. But I do love my Kitten too very much. He is 7 months old. Beautiful stitching Happy stitching to you Patty BC Canada
Choose a favorite baby animal??? I haven’t had enough coffee yet to choose 😂 So many good stitchy things today. Love seeing your progress on Hawks Run.
I love baby emus, they have the cutest racing stipes. Also good on you for pushing forward with the egg finish, never admit defeat. I really need to find an Victorian/Aussie retreat I can go to, they sound like the most fun.
Hi Mel, you made me laugh with you today! Thanks so much for a great video. Alice looks amazing as do all your stitching! Vacation sounded great! Enjoy and happy stitching! Lori
I’m so sorry that you have lost Levi, I can’t imagine how tough it would be. Lily is beautiful I’m sure she will be a handful. I would love to go to the Barossa Valley one day - it looked beautiful. That small you gave away is the sweetest, and the one you received was amazing! I love your Bunny Love finish and I think it is perfect! I also love that you use clothes that don’t fit/are damaged! That vase wrap is so stinking clever!!! Beautiful ornament Mel. Those eggs, and the bees - too cute!! Congratulations on the pumpkin finish too, can’t wait to see what you do with it. I’m sorry you made a booboo on Farms - it isn’t obvious until you point it out, I totally agree to leave it xx You are so brave putting that doll together, it is going to look amazing!!! Alice is super close, it looks so good. You have the cutest charts, Easter Parade is adorable. I really want to do Maynia, but I need to finish Haystack - it’s already going to be tough. That 40ct looks so so good!!!! I don’t want Winter yet...not ready to rug up! I’m sure Lily is going to have grown so much by next video. I hope you continue to post Lily spam on IG! See you again soon xxx
Great to catch up Mel! Lily is so cute omg... My favourite baby animal are ducklings 🐥 they’re too cute. Whatever you choose, your 40ct WIP will be amazing
My favourite baby animal is lambs. Love to see how you go at 40ct I’m trying to work up the courage to try 40ct now I’m finding 36ct good. I don’t like using 2 strands of floss so 40ct makes sense.
Lily is adorable! She looks very similar to the cat my mom just recently lost who had the same name. It does leave such a hole when we lose a pet. I rather liked your egg - I haven’t been brave enough to try sewing with anything I’ve stitched yet. I think all baby animals are cute but puppies are probably my favorite.
Hello Mel oh Lily is adorable 😘😘 I just wanted to reach into the screen and stroke & cuddle her. Your stitching is beautiful especially the Alice project, the blue thread is perfect for her dress 💙💙 Autumn 🍂 is my favourite season too 🍁 Happy Stitching 🧵😘

you could always adopt an adult cat, they find it harder to be adopted than the cute kittens
So pretty finishes! I love baby animals in general 😍

You are so kind, I only recently learnt that hares have their young in a nest like situatuion above ground, I assumed they'd be like rabbits
I would have to say BABY goats are my favourite they are so sweet. But I do love my Kitten too very much. He is 7 months old. Beautiful stitching Happy stitching to you Patty BC Canada
I'm loving this kitten like crazy, but the zoomies are real and I guess still happening at 7 months
Ohhhh yes zoomies never go away at least to a certain extent my 10 year old is not quite as crazy as the 7 month old
