I just purchased a Villager but I preferred the full body version with the set neck. The cutaway affects the tone less bottom end that's why I got the full body.
Thanks! Your review is fun and well-done. I'll be purchasing a Villager 12 string as soon as I return home. Can't get them in Asia - just not available.
Two years ago, during COVID’s first wave, I ordered a Danelectro 12 string. After 4 months wait, I ordered a Fender Villager 12. I loved it, but there were some high frets, so I wound up with a Danelectro Vintage 12, but I am still haunted by this Villager. It sounded especially brilliant though my Fishman Loudbox Mini. In all fairness, that amp makes all guitars sound good. Simply put, I want one of these Villager 12 string again.
I have not tried the Danelectro David but would be interested to know your comparison if you also get the Villager. I really do have to put it through it's paces via my PositiveGrid amp but it's a cracking 12 string at a great price!
@@abritto-go4585 , They are both great, but an acoustic and an electric 12 string are just different animals. I would easily recommend both as bargains in their classes.
Get a feedback buster, a pair of strap locks and a.010 set of strings. Slide a quarter under the 12th fret to check the action. Make sure the quarter can barely slide under the strings. Then your action is not too low. This should be the only 12 string acoustic guitar you’ll ever own. I know from experience because I preordered mine in the fall of 2018 for its arrival in 2019.
@@abritto-go4585 I also got to thinking of some other advice to give without knowing you. I saw a wall of guitars in your collection. For every guitar you own with the exception of any Dean with a 3+3 headstock, you need to have 1 ponytail holder for dreadlocks per guitar you own. Those will be in the personal grooming section of your retail store. That saves up to $25 per fret wrap. The purpose of those are to eliminate subtle string rattling during home recording. Also look into 12 string folk blues artists such as Leadbelly and other contemporaries of his era. Plus the obvious Beatles and Byrds as well as classic singer songwriters who used 12 string instruments

Thanks for the comment @donaldbest1295 I hope you enjoy the guitar. The 12 string is definitely a unique sound

I just remember thinking the Villager 12 sounded really good through an amp.
@@davidgood6744 I have to try that out now

Awesome 😍
la guitarra de mis sueños, me gustaria para tocar folk/rock😔
I've read several reviews mentioning strings jumping out of nut slots. Have you experienced that?

Considerando le chitarre che hai appeso nella stanza non direi che sei un principiante!!!
Telecaster, Gibson Les Paul etc....
