11:58 I was thinking the decepticon repaint would be Breakdown because he also has a shoulder mounted cannon and would really suit this mould. I think he deserves his own mould if he shows up in future waves though
I found that folding the toes out while keeping the heels pegged in, and then folding the rest of the foot out works a lot better then folding the heel out last.
If you are having issues pulling out the heels, transform and peg the feet like you are going into vehicle mode. Once you have feet pegged in grab a foot pull it back and the heel should still be pegged in and now you should have no trouble flipping out the heels
I was able to get bulkhead, dragstrip and buzzworthy g1 bumblebee (hovercraft mode) at my local target here in Boston Ma. The 3 together cost me about $92 but worth it.
Hey Balt, just a reccomendation, the Legacy G2 Prime is very nice, yeah im in the people that says its good, but trust me it looks good and overall is a blast to play with.
Regarding flipping out those heels...flip down the feet while he's in vehicle mode and the heels will stay pegged in the vehicle mode. It makes flipping out the heels completely unnecessary.
This mold could be used for so much! A Bay movie Hound remake, maybe a TFP Breakdown, a remold of the cab and canopy would make a really good Kup, Heatwave, or Sentinel Prime.
I’m really confused at 5:31. Been looking through the internet trying to find a way how people are doing the “fold” thing with him. I look at this and legs are down,I look at mine,mine has a barrier that prevents the legs from going down.
He really is a good figure, one thing that threw me off though was the extra joint at the torso at 13:56, I didn't know why the tyres weren't lining up.
If the chest wasn't just a giant block, this would be an infinitely better figure. It's like someone was told what Bulkhead was like, and was told to design a G1 figure based on that, but the designer was given no reference material for what the character actually looks like.
Is it me, or do those plugs on Bulkhead's sides of the vehicle mode look like they were made for minicons? Are they trying to remind us of the Unicron Trilogy? Lol.
I actually saw Blaster and Bulkhead 2 weeks ago at Target, which is surprising since my area is always DONKEY (as AVGN would say) in terms of new stock. Great review as always Balt!
Not really my cup of energon, but I do see people enjoying it. I did see him on shelves at the Target here in SoCal alongside buzzworthy repaints of Kup and Silverstreak, as well as Coronation 'Screamer.
It was leaked from the same source that leaked all these guys and that leak said that this figure will be repainted and remolded into an Optimus Prime.
I'd like to see this repainted the be armorhide. Had the black repaint as a kid and loved it. Also are we going to ignore what looks to be minicon ports on the canopy?
The clear plastic is worrying. Other than that, it looks good, though I'm missing a second wreckingball. Tempted to speculate that this might get a retool into a combiner torso though.

not a fan of this figure at all, I was hoping that it was an updated tfp bulkhead like everybody else but no need to replace a far superior figure with an inferior one. I do think that this will probably be retooled into the rise of the beasts optimus prime based on the leaked scout/core/legend class prime that is making the review rounds now.

Im inclined to believe this since alot of the design details better fits animated bulkhead rather than prime bulkhead.
And I'm happy for that! This design works for me, as opposed to if it had been Prime or Animated.

It's like they heard everyone saying, "why isn't movie Hound just named Bulkhead?" and said ok, here, now it's Bulkhead, now shut up.

Feels like this design is trying to unite Prime Bulkhead, Animated Bulkhead, the G1 aesthetic, but most of all, Bayverse Hound. Weird.

i think bulkhead will be remolded into Prime Beast Hunter Optimus Prime. i like him overall. not the suv alt mode but it still fits him. great review.
