I feel you, Mark. How time flies. 🌹I was a bit shy but also battled social anxiety for most of my life along with panic disorder; periods of depression and a diagnosis of PTSD. I also battled against self medicating with both cigarettes and alcohol for many years. The LORD delivered me completely. We serve a truly AWESOME God!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I look forward to meeting you, as well. Your ministry has been such a blessing to me; thank you. And, yes - please do sing more. 🌹😊

Mark, i think that if The Most High has something for you to do …. Shyness won’t be an issue. Kinda like how Moses’ speech didn’t really get in his way when he was leading Israel out of Egypt. The Most High handled that problem. I used to be painfully shy as well. And since I was a science major and ready to quit my lab job because of a newly circulated illness …… and didn’t want my daughter to be motherless, I started teaching. I got an emergency credential and started teaching about a month later. Looking back, TMH knew what He was doing…. Teaching allowed me to be off when my daughter was…. No babysitters. At first it was difficult, but I guess since we did a lot of hands on science activities, in time, I just talked to them like I would my own. Man! We built water rockets and they really cooked!; I taught them how to use metrics by measuring bubbles on their desks: ( microscopes….. you name it. We even did roller coaster and bowling physics! Every year it got a little bit easier. I believe that The Most High wanted me to teach creationism as a theory instead of evolution. Remember the overhead projector? Well now it’s called an ELMO and you can place a whole object on the base and it projects it clear as a bell. I placed both theories side by side and asked my students which one sounded more like a fairy tale to them! I do remember putting a felt marker on the ELMO and asked them how it came to be. Were there two factories ( ink and plastic ) that were side by side by side and like the theory of evolution states, over time and with pressure, a sharpie marker popped out……. Writing and everything? OR did someone design or CREATE it? They were allowed to draw their own conclusions based on the evidence. My prayer and ultimate goal was that they find TMH just by concluding that someone created everything …… now it’s their job to find out who HE is! Since EVERYONE is precious to TMH even if I made a difference in one child’s life…… it was well worth it. Another incident that encouraged me to communicate more was when a student came to me ( why me?) I’m a big chicken when it comes to stuff like that………and said her house was haunted. I don’t remember WHAT I said, but I wanted her to know that she could pray about it. We talked for quite a while and I was happy that she came to me instead of struggling alone. I prayed for her as well and still do….. and to be honest, I hoped she never invited me to her house for dinner. No sireeeee bob!

I feel you, Mark. How time flies. 🌹I was a bit shy but also battled social anxiety for most of my life along with panic disorder; periods of depression and a diagnosis of PTSD. I also battled against self medicating with both cigarettes and alcohol for many years. The LORD delivered me completely. We serve a truly AWESOME God!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

I do pray for those who are lonely, I live alone and far from family so it does get lonely at times. But thanks be to God I am always reminded by the Holy Spirit that He is with me always. I had a tribulation dream a few years ago about Wormwood. The world’s population knew that a huge, destructive asteroid was set to hit Earth. They were in despair because nothing could be done to prepare for it, not even if they have the best bunker. Many were terrified and knew that it was going to be the end of their life. Mark, i think that if The Most High has something for you to do …. Shyness won’t be an issue. Kinda like how Moses’ speech didn’t really get in his way when he was leading Israel out of Egypt. The Most High handled that problem.
I used to be painfully shy as well. And since I was a science major and ready to quit my lab job because of a newly circulated illness …… and didn’t want my daughter to be motherless, I started teaching. I got an emergency credential and started teaching about a month later. Looking back, TMH knew what He was doing…. Teaching allowed me to be off when my daughter was…. No babysitters.
At first it was difficult, but I guess since we did a lot of hands on science activities, in time, I just talked to them like I would my own. Man! We built water rockets and they really cooked!; I taught them how to use metrics by measuring bubbles on their desks: ( microscopes….. you name it. We even did roller coaster and bowling physics!
Every year it got a little bit easier. I believe that The Most High wanted me to teach creationism as a theory instead of evolution. Remember the overhead projector? Well now it’s called an ELMO and you can place a whole object on the base and it projects it clear as a bell. I placed both theories side by side and asked my students which one sounded more like a fairy tale to them! I do remember putting a felt marker on the ELMO and asked them how it came to be. Were there two factories ( ink and plastic ) that were side by side by side and like the theory of evolution states, over time and with pressure, a sharpie marker popped out……. Writing and everything? OR did someone design or CREATE it? They were allowed to draw their own conclusions based on the evidence.
My prayer and ultimate goal was that they find TMH just by concluding that someone created everything …… now it’s their job to find out who HE is!
Since EVERYONE is precious to TMH even if I made a difference in one child’s life…… it was well worth it.
Another incident that encouraged me to communicate more was when a student came to me ( why me?) I’m a big chicken when it comes to stuff like that………and said her house was haunted. I don’t remember WHAT I said, but I wanted her to know that she could pray about it. We talked for quite a while and I was happy that she came to me instead of struggling alone. I prayed for her as well and still do….. and to be honest, I hoped she never invited me to her house for dinner. No sireeeee bob!
