han is THE lyrical rapper. Changbin is our rap god. lee know is crazy in the high register. Chan is the range master. IN gets better every album. Felix sounds so crisp every time agreed. Hyunjin is spitting facts. Seungmin i will never get enough of his voice. The balance each other so well. Much love! ot8 is where its at

Han's part gets me every time, especially knowing he wrote it during a difficult period in his life.
"TOP" and "Slump" are openings and endings for an anime called "Tower of God" (TOP is the opening and it has an mv, Slump is the ending.) I never watched it myself but just to give info lol
Idk why but changbins part always gives me chills. It's just the way he raps with so much emotion, it gets me everytime
I have some special feelings about the English version of this song, it hits SO HARD on me when Changbin says "I wanna look in the mirror telling myself that I did a good job"
Changbin’s emotion in this song is incredible in the all of the lines he has but the line “take me to you now” wow the desperation is surreal. Is there anything he can’t do? I also love the fact that Changbin is your bias as he don’t get that much recognition when he should cause he’s so perfect and humble but yet people hate him 😢❤

I love their "First Take" vids. It proves they all have beautiful, strong voices and that they truly DO sing live on stage. Chan did an amazing job choosing the BEST people for Stray Kids.
I usually feel changbin's energy and han in his parts are so passionate 👌🏻
Slump is the outro to that anime, and their song TOP is the intro to that same anime. The TOP MV is pretty cool.
They also did Scars and Mixtape Oh on the first take as well. Both of those have an MV to.
Lee Know Lee Knoooooowww .... I mean, everyone. But Lee Know.... And everyooooone ! xD I love those First Take videos. I love all of their live vocals, and raw vocals on recordings videos. We can actually hear each of their flavors, and their facial expressions add informations about their technique and emotion while singing.
When an artist is performing in their vocal comfort zone where their voice is full of color and completely supported, then we say that's where their vocal is "anchored". Just thought I would mention that since you really seemed to be searching for the right word to describe the difference you noticed in Channie right then....
On another note, (ha.) I adore just how much you instinctively know about music. Truly, you have a depth of understanding that goes beyond a background in the technical side. It's more like a 6th sense in your case. You have a deep and natural understanding of music as a whole. Which I'm sure stems from your keen ear and love of music in general.
However I am a firm believer that such a talent is a true gift. And I'm happy that you are getting to use it by doing these reactions. It would have been a shame if they went unappreciated. Which... Judging by the comment section. They do not. Lol
I love the English version, the Korean version and the Japanese version. They all sound great. The music video for this is also really good... But... this is the version I watch and listen to most. The vocals just hit different.
Honestly they show off their skills even more than this one in the first takes of *Mixtape:OH* and *Scars* , and those 2 don't even have autotune (Not that autotune is something bad but you got the point.) They have MVs too so yeah idk you may react to them sometime if you want to hehe, especially Mixtape:OH is really special for us Stays because it's Hyunjin's return from his hiatus.
the kbs radio live sessions of case 143, maniac and thunderous are amazing as well. loveee hearing them perform so comfortably and of course they just have fun with it.

The Anime Tower of God was translated into Korean and English. It was quite clever of Stray Kids to have and English, Korean and Japanese version of Slump. When you watch the Anime in either of these languages, the corresponding version of the song is used.
The fact that teddy himself realized how bang chan became more serious before his part is telling. That was his alter personality possessing him before his performance.

Teddy for a live performance of SKZ is always very good. But 3rachs on stage are always stable. Changbin and Han’s rap are always on top for a live performance. Yes, especially Han is very stable that vocals that rap. And Chan of course 😉

I almost always prefer the original versions, in whichever language, to the translated ones. I believe Slump was originally written with Japanese lyrics, like Circus, and I prefer the Japanese versions of both those songs. I know that when they translated Circus to Korean, the members were talking about how much the meaning changes when they change languages. Part of that would have to be because they have to change words around to fit the rhythm and make good sounds, but part of it is that in any language, there are certain phrases and concepts that don't quite translate. And word order changes, the word that would be emphasized in one language will come up in a different part of the sentence depending on the language, so things would have to be shifted around to make the emphasis fit.
One of the things I love about Han's English rapping is how he plays with rhythm and emphasis, like that one small moment in this song when he says "....black OR white"which is not at all the rhythm or emphasis you'd normally put on those words. He also did that in Circus on the "MAY I Have your atTEntion LAdies And gentLEmen...". I assume that he's doing that in Korean and Japanese as well, although I can't tell since I don't speak or understand those languages. I'm not sure why, but there is something so incredibly satisfying in that rhythm play.

Also in terms of the delivery of lines- its so much more efficient to have a still body when singing at the higher end of your register, especially with a long monotone line like the one Lee Know, Chan and Seungmin sing, because erratic or unstable movement actually disrupts your ability to control how much air you release... for a line like that, you need quite a consistent rate otherwise you'll get a more uneven delivery with really punchy/projected moments and softer breathy moments. Equally with the lines that require more emphasis, you can really see the amount of tension (good tension!) increase in their bodies to deliver those lines with more power and totally different sonic quality. Ahh so interesting!

you're talking about changbin mannerism here, so you should watch 2 kids room 2022 between han and changbin coz they were talking the difference about their mannerism when they are rapping. its pretty interesting how they see each other on they're rapping style and mannerism.

The First Take is so awesome. They usually feature Japanese artists and I've found some really great Japanese singers on that channel
Also if u wanna b mind blow by vocals, and option would b never ending story(it has no mv but a live perf., and secret secret its a jiSONG with performance sub mv
Sometimes it could be that certain videos have captions that are simplified or slightly different. Sometimes they make them less/more literal so they translate into other languages in a way that captures the feeling and essence of what is meant versus exactly what is said word for word. But also when they do different versions of the same song they change lyrics based on syllables, rhyme schemes and also sometimes to fit the language's metaphoric structure better- again so that the meaning behind the words feels the same to the native Japanese speaker/listener as it was intended for the native Korean speaker/listener in the original tracks (or vice versa).
When they have different versions of songs, BangChan has said they try first thing to keep the meaning the same, but of course at the end they have to adapt it so the flow and ritm matches.
So yeah, sometimes the verse changes a bit, not mad about it tho for me is like listening to a other song all along, they display their abilities differently depending of the language too.

I'd really recommend you to watch their interview at Zach Sang Show ("Stray Kids Talk Double Knot (English Version), District 9 Tour, Being a Stray Kid"), it's so interesting and they actually TALK A LOT about their creative process. This is like my top-1 interview of all time

Thank you. This is the outr for anemia Towers of God they also did the intro to the same anemia called T.O.P where they have 2 video versions. One in Korean and one in Japanese. I like the Japanese version it has more graphics, but both are very good.
they did another song, called TOP, for the same anime. You should checkt that out. There is also an MV for that song
When the songs have multiple language versions, the meaning/message of the songs stay the same, but the wording is changed slightly to fit the different grammar structures and syllables with the rhythm, flows, beat, rhyme, language-specific connotations, and so forth. (Example: calling Lee Know a "mystic boy" in Japanese FAM and "four-dimensional" and "strange" in Korean FAM [and then translating those to "weirdo" and "weird" in English] -- all have the same general meaning, but "mystic boy" makes a lot more sense in Japanese context than English.)
So yeah, when there's multiple language versions of a song, they'll be slightly different in each language, to accommodate the different languages and cultural connotations. They're literally rewritten and reworked to fit each different language.
