you've been a software engineer for 4 years and you're already making huge 6 figures salaries in one full time job, that's amazing so i'm proud of you. my question is how did you manage to reach such high salaries in only four years if you don't mind giving some tips, i'm getting into uni next year to study computer science! were you in the top students of your uni or .. ?
i was nowhere near being the top student hahaha. i got lucky and i also did a lot of researched on how the tech hiring system works. good luck with college and remember to enjoy it :)
@@brybread thanks a lot for answering. would you mind telling me a little bit about how the tech hiring system works if that's not too much to ask for ? if it's too long and it's too time consuming for you to do so i wouldn't mind just a short tip

Happy to see you got some success! Are you nor worried having your real name out there. You could easily not find your next J3 or J4 if they searched for you
I’m really wanting to do this. While I finish my engineering degree - Any tips? My day job is super chill and I work from home. They are cutting my hours a little and I want to maybe try something else remote.
would it be worth it to start my bachelors in software engineering in fall? i really want to become a junior engineer because i’ve been self learning for the past few months i just want to actually do this as a job, will my bachelors actually help me that much?
it could lead to a job and it’s also the path i took. i have a bachelor’s in computer science. whether it’s worth it or not, it depends. my engineer coworkers have a huge range of backgrounds ranging from no school to the most prestigious schools. hope this helps :)
bro i applied for meta studies , but im still waiting for the lessons to start, do you know whats going on with meta right now ? why arent they working with students at this moment ?
from my experience, they all have used third party verifiers like ‘hireright’. i just check the box that says “don’t contact previous employer” and then provide my tax documents for proof instead. worked out for me but it may not be the same everywhere.
So currently, are you still employed by all 3? I don’t believe it is wise to do a UA-cam video you are/were working with 3 companies at the same time. It may come back to bite you in the ass
@@vincentnnyc well he was publicly mocking those companies saying he fooled them and got away with that. With ongoing layoffs those companies didn't bother firing him for showing them in a bad way

This is the way, glad to see more OE folks on UA-cam!
What's the number 1 rule of OE?
This
Don’t get caught
Don't talk about being overmployed haha
Win in silence. You automatically lose when you break silence.
shut up. There are no rules of OE. Just cause you hide like a rat doesnt mean that rest of use cant be very opened about it.

yes, i recommend you first have personal coding projects on your resume before applying.
Man I can't even get my first job in the field, would love to have two in the future lmao wish me luck
I came for the OE content, but u guys are so cute and I love yalls apartment decor
what about all those non-compete clauses in your contracts?
Are you sure you want to publicise this?
Fully remote jobs are best for OE. TY for sharing!
Thanks to everyone sharing their OE lifestyle - companies changed to hybrid policy 😅
Looking at adding another 3rd job, any tips? Going from 2 to 3?

your plants look so healthy!
So how do you not get in trouble or not have your jobs find out about each other? That is my fear
It Paid off. So, no. I don't think you're Overemployed.
:)
cool video , i love the ending
I think 2 jobs at once would have been a lot less stressful, but you did just make a 3 yr salary in the time of one :P
Bro you are a legend
What's the background song? Sounds familiar.
Thanks for sharing! How long did you work 3 full time jobs? Most videos I’ve seen did it for about a year.

Were you transparent with the other companies that you're working full time at another company? I'm assuming no lol
nope. although i told friends who happened to work for the same companies. they were in distant teams not related to mine.
How many YOE do you have?
How do you manage the 2nd, 3rd, 4th job calling your current job for employment verification without raising suspicion?
