Your ATV smoking when the choke is on has nothing to do with an exhaust leak unless what you were trying to say was you could see that it was leaking out of a certain area when it would be smoking and you're exhausted issue I don't think you would have had to cut the bumper I believe that exhaust has a removable tip and if you would have taken it off spun it upside down so it tipped up slightly it would have came out directly between the two pipes on the rear bumper I could be wrong but I would rather just take them bumpers completely authentic them apart LOL
I just bought a 99 sportsman 500. The muffler mbrp has showing for mine does not have the exhaust tip on it... Atleast it's not pictured... How much increase power if any did it apply? And did you re jet your carb?

I just got one for my 01 scrambler and it was t loud at first but as it learned the new muffler it got louder and didn’t have that tin can sound
It wont get any louder it doesnt have packing in it it is a chambered silencer
It looked like the tail piece of the muffler had 4 bolts. Perhaps the tail piece can be rotated side ways to miss the bumper?
The bolt pattern would have bedn off thought about that. I couldve turned it upside doen but I kinda wanted it facing down for water purposes

Nahhhhh u should have just could a half inch off the end peice on the exhaust wouldn’t have effected the sound and also saved your a bumper
