    this thing with some of the breaking and shifting worked out and maybe 15-20 more hp aka a sweet ass exhaust to hear that motor sing, would be a force to be reckoned with for sure, especially if its already keeping a prepped 600 on slicks in sight, even if he was taking it a little easy.

      Don't hold your breath.
      I highly doubt they'll give it a new chassis.
      The way I see it knowing from how japanese manufacturers work.
      They'll just use the same mt07 chassis with a bit better suspension and basic electronics package from mt09 and clip on maybe tune the engine to 85hp and call it a day.

      @@Fearless154 yep sounds pretty dead straight on the money. I can see them potentially going a bit higher with the hp number if they do some mechanical work on the engine (wider bore maybe?) but it's very unlikely. Probably just a tune and different exhaust setup, but in same chassis and with upgraded suspension and brakes (it really needs it if it's gonna come in an "R" configuration).
      I hope they at least nail the visuals. The base 7 series engine is already a fine platform for a more casual approach to what Aprilia is doing, especially if they are gonna offer it for a few grand less.

      also the performance benefit of the zx6r is only gonna be at the very top end, so realistically the difference isn't noticable enough to be a selling point on its own (and the RS660 beats it performance wise in midrange and out-of-corner speeds). If you want to make an unbiased decision, just consider whether you want to use it mostly for track riding or street riding. They are pretty much equal in their respective fields, slightly overlapping in the opponent's main categories. I'd definitely go with the RS660, it's a modern platform with a completely new structure and approach to performance riding, and it won't be a sore to ride extensively on street

      @@mala7794 nice I bought my sister's old ninja 650 but I was told it's not a good idea to start with a big bike. I currently own a 125 Yamaha vino scooter but it is not manual and I am looking for more of a bike feel than a scooter

      Love the trash talk. My bet is on maxwrist, but I'll race both anytime at CVMA, WERA, or AFM. Just bought the RS660, rode it on track for the first time. Yammie is right about the track changes to the bike, but he didn't mention changing the traction control to level 1 or the bike boggs down.

    You can imagine my disappointment when I saw that the only trackdays within a 7 hour drive are on "Friday June 11, Friday July 23 and Friday August 27".

    Is this bike comparable to R6? and if it is which one is better?

    • @ReLCorsa
      @ReLCorsa 3 роки тому +1

      They're similar but the R6 has more horsepower while the Aprilia has a little extra torque. They are different engine configurations though so power delivery will be a little different with the Aprilia's power coming in earlier thanks to that parallel twin whereas the R6's power comes in higher in the rev range being an online four. A lot of it comes down to the style of riding and what you're looking for out of the bike. The Aprilia is slightly cheaper but there obviously is a large used market for the R6

    • @Fearless154

      Rs660 is a versatile sport bike you can do track days or ride it ever day.
      R6 is full track focused competition machine with zero street usability.

      @@ReLCorsa I disagree. In my opinion I find my RS660 way different to ride than my R6. The R6 is way faster and a complete sportbike. The Rs660 is a great soft riding twin which is fun to ride.
