Just got back from there! What an incredible place and experience. Folks give yourself all day to really explore it. I sadly missed the night time lights view.
Very tender, and even though I live here in Italy and I study ancient Roman history, the Forum Romano is the love of my life and fills me with longing for a time when brilliance by a byword and men truly were leaders. The notion that one man, Caesar, could bring such glory to his tribe is incomprehensible in our world today, as mostly what we have been left with are politically correct toadies who are not his bootlace. But another Caesar? Not in our lifetime. Many thanks for this.
I am from India and though read history in school but not as main subject in graduation. I was in Rome in last month and visited Roman forum. The magnificent history of our mankind is visible here. Amazing. I will visit Rome again, Rome was not built in a day and one cannot see it in 3 days.
sorry but no, there´s nothing of this splendor in the greek world, and the later buldings are very different or show me a greek buldiing that looks equal to the Maxentius Basilica please, even the Tabularium and the Colloseum has nothing to do with greek buldings.
