I'm not sure what this brings to the table compared to all the other stuff available (ChowTape, RC-20, Neold stuff, Mello-fi, Goodhertz, etc. etc.). It's UA and it will sell like crazy probably, but I think this has been done to death and I don't hear anything new.
EDIT: ah just noticed it's free until the end of April. Lets try it first before dismissing it. ;-)

As much as I’m trying to “get” this plug-in I ran it head to head with the studer I had for years and the studer came off much more natural and felt like it wasn’t working as hard, same goes for Saturn as well. It’s free but I mean UAD could offer us something free that’s a bit more useful.
Its crazy how much into the future we go what we really want are those old vintage sounds 🤷
It's because everything is getting to be too clear, to transparent, too perfect. Humans want imperfections, colouring, human touch.

2 mins in & I'm bored out of my mind. So far I've heard phasing as a means to change the sound & subtle harmonics. Pretty lame out of the gate. Won't listen to the rest. I thought this might be the time to purchase the all in one - update so that I have very plugin. But this one provided me with zero tipping point to pull the trigger. Maybe the presentation get's better? I don't know & don't care if this is your demo - I'm rejecting it for a lost cause. I have all the UAD plugins - having bought every major bundle except the final one where you get all the rest of the plugins. I almost bought it in January but my rep never returned my call so I let it slide - because I'd told him to call me & I'd buy it. They were busy - he didn't call - I later called him & said I'd be trying on the next sale. Thought this plugin might tip the score but I had to stop watching 2 mins in as it only made me want to switch to McDSP's system instead as UAD is upper middle range & it's probably at the top of that heap but it's not even close to McDsp's gear at double to triple the price - which gets more attractive the better I get to know ApolloX & UAD's support policies. Once they turfed telephone support they also became extremely hard to deal with. Them falsely accusing me so the pretend to be the victim. Ridiculous behavior. I should out the entire story on them. But since I own the thing I'll be waiting till I sell it.
For the last 3 to 5 years, Saturation has become the new 1176 emulation -
there's a gazillion saturation plug-ins now .. most peoples toolboxes at this point have 8 to 10 ways to saturate ..
this demo is Not drawing me in on the mystique and true history/character of each saturator. Or even on acoustic instruments, drums, piano, acoustic guitar, upright bass, etc..
I love UA and I'm sure this is a fun Plugin but the demo is Just not doin it for me .. I'll continue to use what I already have...
agreed, saturation and modulation plugins/effects are all the rage right now, everyone is trying to cash in on the craze

Thanks for the demos! Sounds like a nice suite of distortions, and after a causal listen it sounds like these don't alias materially, which if it proves true is a major win for UAD over many competing saturators -- I shake my head constantly at how many plugs today are still folding like it's 1990; could you maybe chill with the swearing, though? I'm not sure UA-cam would even let me type what I heard, LOL... otherwise, great work!
I enjoyed the plug-in and demo video. I liked it so much that I decided to purchase the complete collection. Thank you to UAD for creating such great products!

this plugin is trash and if you install it , within a day or so you start getting pop up messages from Univesal installer in your windows desktop, even when you're working. or in a meeting .. seriously. .F Univeral Audio. i want to speak to someone who works there. I was in a call and it popped up. This is clearly an invasive advertisement to get ppl to put the installer on their computers.
UAD can you make a master mix knob please
Much of what Verve does involves lots of modulation, so you'd get A LOT of comb filtering. We explored a Mix knob and decided against it.

So what? I can get similar results with a collection of free FX plugins. But, of course, we are expected to believe the hype that this underwhelming thing is "super-cool" and "awesome".
CAUTIONARY TALE: A couple of years ago, I bought an UAD Apollo Twin USB. It certainly looked "super-cool" and "awesome" beside my high-end ASUS laptop with Ryzen 7 onboard, but it NEVER worked. UAD's crappy Windows drivers caused crackles and glitches whatever settings I tried. Support was non-existent. I found many reports of similar problems from frustrated Windows users in forums. But did UAD ever show any interest in solving the driver problems and releasing updates? Nope. After weeks of elevated cortisol levels, I admitted defeat and traded it in, at a significant loss, for a piece of kit that worked perfectly out of the box. Conclusion: I wouldn't touch UAD hardware again with a bargepole.
Its the Industry standard. Sound engineers studying at colleges use their hardware in every single room, paired with analogue equipment.
I have had nothing but great response whenever I've reached out to UAD.
Shure thing the never plug ins have a more gimmick vibe to them, but they are meant for a broader audience, aiming for producers who wants to have fun, and not just focus on insanely long chains of efx.

At the time when I was trying to get the Apollo Twin USB Duo to just do what it was supposed to do, their Windows drivers -- as experienced by many people who, like me, fell for the hype that you are promulgating -- DID NOT WORK. I contacted them multiple times to get a solution, but there was NO RESPONSE. There were NO UPDATES to fix the problem. The so-called fixes on their FAQ webpage MADE NO DIFFERENCE. I NEVER HAD SUCH PROBLEMS WITH MUCH CHEAPER USB AUDIO INTERFACES. Is there anything about the words in CAPITALS you do not understand? Do you think I'm lying?

The “essential” 4 are one knob plugins with a truly terrible sound and no attempt to manage the level when you turn up drive. Also no way to manually adjust input or output. Therefore unusable. Nice one!
This demo is fine but I'd love to hear the plug-in on some REAL instruments. A trumpet, a voice, a REAL snare drum, upright bass, a piano, organ or electric piano, etc, etc... What's with all the fake MIDI instruments?
SOS!!!!!!! Really UA??? I see why it's free. Why bit make Studer available for a lower price or just don't make no ganky looking product that sounds like a million other tools in the collection. They are giving it away because they know the Studer still is a great plugin and why they're still charging $$$$ for a hundred year old product.
