I invested in Publisher Rocket - useful tool. I don't understand their categories though. I look at the category and say, Wow, that's a great one. Then when publishing my book - I cannot find that category. It's somewhat frustrating. Thank you, Paul.
When uploading, I use Tangent Template's listing helper feature and their chrome extension. It's another one-off payment tool. Most of the time, I can find the categories just by typing on the search bar. It's a time-saver.

Sister Sherry, when you publish your book, Amazon only lets you choose two BISAC categories, which are the standard US categories for grouping books on shelves in book stores, libraries, etc. You have to do the best you can choosing those by thinking about where your book would be shelved in a bookstore. The Amazon categories on the other hand are much more vast and are used for searching books on Amazon. After your book is published, you can ask Amazon to then put your book into as many as 10 categories of your choice. It just takes an email to KDP customer service. There are many good videos that explain exactly how you need to go about doing this. I think a Paul has one, Dave Chesson of Publisher Rocket has one, and so do others on UA-cam. Find a video on how to add categories in KDP and you’ll be all set. Good luck and good publishing!

I have been publishing on Amazon KDP since November. A few weeks back they closed my account saying I was linked to a previously terminated account. I've never had another KDP account and although I've appealed to Amazon twice they are insisting I'm guilty and will not re-open my account. Do you have any advice in this situation? I've spent a lot of time creating my books and now they are all gone.
This time of year sale or often down and will often pick up in the next month or so. It will also depend on what niches you are in as they can be saesonal also.

I’m in Canada and when I recently published my first book, I was only able to place it in the US store…Canada store to print and shop was unavailable (as we’re most other stores like Australia for example). I’ve tried researching why this may be, and haven’t come up with anything 🤷🏻♀️

Usually it is within 72 hours. It can sometimes take longer and upt to a week. More than a week sounds unusual. Have you checked your book hasn't gone back into draft? If not then it's worth contacting KDp support if it's been that long.

I've only been making low content items, recently an academic calendar (my lengthiest and most time consuming project). I think I only used Creative Fabrica and Canva, which I opted for the paid subscription versions. I just started this month. No sales yet. So saddened and disappointed.

You can ask KDp support to put you into more categories, so you can include those not listed in those on the KDP dashboard.

No, normally puzzles are on both sides of the page.

It works on German, and the UK. But later this year, it will include the rest of them.

I’m not sure why that would be. Books normally appear in those stores automatically and are listed in the pricing list.

How do we get our book published in more than two categories?
You will have to contact kdp and list the categories you want to place your books in. Up to 7 categories but you can take it 3 at a time.
You can contact KDp support and request to be placed in additional categories.
