What's the issue with wearing a beanie? It won't hurt your ability to locate sound sources... It certainly will block some frequencies more than others, making for an unbalanced sound, but it should a be fairly small difference and it would not hurt your ability to locate sound sources...
The room itself plays a bigger role than a hat.
Even with headphones, i doubt you could notice a difference wearing a hat versus not wearing one.

That depends on the hight to the ceeling and what material it's made of. And the angle of the speakers of course.. But in general systems like this are not close to the real deal.
I would rather have a pretty decent real 5.1 setup or even a pretty great 2.0 or 2.1/2.2 setup than this.

@@MC-ew7sc IV watched lots of unboxings on this channel and product overviews and they usually go in more depth than showing 20 seconds of the product actually in use... It's only occasionally that they will do a follow up video on LTT usually the latest Mac book or galaxy phone

One thing I've found about this soundbar is that if you don't turn the subwoofer all the way down, it'll drown out everything else. Things didn't start getting better until I did that and fiddled with settings from the app. But now that I have it dialed in to sound good among a wide spectrum of content.... it's awesome. But the Atmos is no big deal really. Once in a while a sound will come out of those upfiring speakers. But not as often as you'd think. Bouncing off the ceiling? I doubt it. But honestly I don't care that much about it because it does sound great.
And theres a nice volume leveling feature if you don't like the sometimes massive disparity between dialogue and action.
How well are the upward facing speakers in a high ceiling set?
I am actually curious if they worked well or was that more of a plug?

I can buy the state of the art from Sony, LG , Samsung or Panasonic. But sometimes I just want a good priced oled tv for my bedroom without spending thousands of dollars

It is pretty ugly. It has that "I am not a slab" bulging look, "cheap plastic black" satin colour and is covered in "punctured holes" style of mesh. It's like it is stuck in past.

@@Antimonkat it has 2 rear channels, but the Soundbar in the front is really just one speaker. You will not hear a diffrence between left and right and Center. Thats why i called it 3.1.2

Where can you find Dolby Atmos content that you can stream? I have a receiver that can support it, but I haven't bothered to hook up the atmos speakers, I don't have any content that will use it. Is it only through blu-ray? I have both a htpc and a Google Chromecast with Google TV dongle.
The Problem is ..... YOU DON'T HAVE A CEILING for the Atmos Sound to reflect on. 🤦♂️

Now that is a sweet sound bar. I'm usually not a fan of sound bars either. I do prefer my 7 speaker and sub woofer surround sound set up. It's much more emersive.

I have this etup at home you need to fine tune it a bit using the Vizio smart link app and enables the upward firing speakers on both the sound bar and the satellite speakers they make a world of difference also you can adjust the perfect distance depending on where you sit in the room and location of the speakers, Dolby ATMOS is an amazing thing, these speakers have changed my life and how I consume my audio and video in real life and they are properly loud, that bass speaker is top kek overall very good audio quality with all the Dolby stuff superb machine.
Just curious, did you set Xbox Dolby Atmos settings to game mode? There's an app on the Xbox One X, figured Series X handles it the same.
I have a headset with Atmos, changing between movie/music/game really does make an audible difference.

The JBL 9.1 sound bar looks pretty dope. The rear speakers are entirely wireless and are charged by connecting them back to the sound bar.

Given the size of modern TV speakers any bigger speaker is better, as the last two TV that I bought (one for me , one for my father) both had great screens but very poor and tinny speakers.
So for my father I used a set of 3.1 creative P380 pc speakers, he is a bit deaf but said wow to the much better sound, I used a creative MF7900 7.1 system, which whilst not set at stupidly high volumes give a MUCH FULLER SOUND and don't have to be set as high as the tinny TV speakers.
So if you are getting a thin TV get a sound bar or surround sound system, your ears will love it.

I would love to see a comparison between proper stereo speakers and an expensive Dolby Atmos sound bar. If you only have 2 speakers it doesn't clutter the room much.

Ummm, didnt you coat your ceiling with sound dampening? + isnt there like 20-25 feet to the ceiling? How is the Dolby feature still working? And wouldnt there be a massive delay with such a high ceiling?

I use Denon's Heos lineup and it's amaaaaaaaazing. Got it on my bday in 2020...
How much was it?
I connected my Apple TV with HDMI to the soundbar and soundbar via HDMI to TV (eARC). This made it recognize the Atmos content. However, this gives me a slight audio delay by a few milliseconds. It does not happen when the Apple TV is plugged directly to the TV and the sound bar is plugged directly to the TV. Any ideas how to sort this out. I would like to enjoy the Atmos feature.
Trust me. In horizon with atmos drive through a tunnel or underneath something. It's amazing.

I have a Vizio H1 and the elevate soundbar and the audio keeps glitching out on me whenever I try to play a video game for a long amounts of time and I'm not getting Atmos out of it does anyone know how to solve this issue?
I remember repairing those JBL product like SB200 and 400 series, those packages are damn huge and complicated.

Cute gimmick. Reminds me of Dipole Tweeters on the old Optimus surround sound systems at Radio Shack.
Forgot to mention that the groove on the bottom of the sound bar is for it to fit precisely into the stand of the Vizio OLED. If I could afford the elevate I’d get it just for that reason so it’s seamless with my OLED.
So are they using balanced audio to make use of double RCA jacks? That's the only reason I can see them needing two RCAs for each audio channel.

That's precisely what optical is for my man. It's the simple, latency-free solution to let the tv remote control connected output. I've never used a DRM-complicating-lag HDMI switch for a soundbsr setup :p

I feel like the top firing speakers probably wont work that well in a tall ceiling environment like the LTT Studio
