I have seen Moe seven times and every show is great and always ends with a great cover song. Whenever I am feeling down I play some Moe. Meat was the first song I heard by Moe and I am hungry for Moe.
moe. is great their covers aren't the best but for some reason I love when they do them. Nothing but love and respect for the boys from upstate. Moe.ron since moe.down 2.
They always are. Saw them at the Mushroom stage at Hulaween. Lasers and lights shining on the Spanish Moss hanging from those big old oak trees ... looked like spiders going up and down the moss.
So everyone should stop paying tribute to Floyd??? my guess would be bands cover floyd out of respect, inspiration and the mark and legacy they've left for generations past and to come??
There's nothing in SOYCD that either Garvey or Schneir couldn't do, this is improvisation, they weren't trying to play it note for note. Also, as far as "competency" goes, there isn't anything in Floyd's amazing respectable catalog that either of them *couldn't* play note for note, while moe.'s catalog is full of things that the (admittedly crazy respectable) Gilmour couldn't dream of doing, and that's coming from someone who thinks PF is actually *underrated*. :/

Umphrey's covers Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Making Flippy Floppy so much better than this. Not even comparable.
Hey, let's just be glad that Umphrey's was actually at SCamp on Sunday this year and not at another festival to make more money.
I'll give you Making Flippy Floppy but moe. absolutely knocked it out of the park on Shine On...comparing who did it better is irrelevant to me.
Anytime I don't have to listen to Bayliss' shitty voice is a win for me, and I've seen Umphs probably more than I've seen anyone else.
Who fucking cares? Just enjoy the music
Will you post a link to Umphrey's version?
anyone covering Pink Floyd , should STOP. It just can't be done.
So everyone should stop paying tribute to Floyd??? my guess would be bands cover floyd out of respect, inspiration and the mark and legacy they've left for generations past and to come??
but if it sucks doing it compared to Floyd, then you shouldn't do it, " out of respect"
