Lovely creative chorale arrangement!
So powerful, toda raba. I would love if you listen to "My heart is blue" and I would dream that you will sing it
What a song!!!
Translation: “Lu Yehi - Let it Be”
There is still a white sail on the horizon,
set against the dark and heavy clouds,
All that we ask for, let it be.
And if in the evening windows
the light of the holiday candles flickers,
All that we ask for, let it be.
And if the messenger is at the door,
let it be good news upon his lips,
All that we ask for, let it be.
If your soul wants to pass away,
from blooms and harvests,
All that we ask for, let it be.
What is that sound I hear,
a shofar call and beating drums?
All that we ask for, let it be.
If only among all these, from my lips
a single prayer might be heard,
All that we ask for, let it be.
In a small, shaded neighborhood
stands a little, red-roofed house,
All that we ask for, let it be.
At the end of summer, journey’s end,
let them return home safely
All that we ask for, let it be.
And if suddenly, rising from the darkness
a star shall shine its light on us
All that we ask for, let it be.
Then grant peace and also strength
to all those we love
All that we ask for, let it be.
Today, on Israel's secular birthday, this made me weep. All we ask...let it be. Let us be!
**Very beautiful song from the '73 war that truly tears ones heart for Love of ISRAEL!
Loved this piece since singing its premier in the 70s (Joel S)
Really nice. Lyric translation?
