Same happens to us wd started running her in the middle of the night when no one was up anx dog were crates no surprises why did I not think of that first lol
When I pulled that module out there was a tiny spring magnetically attached to my motor. I see one other little spring like this on the unit but this one is just randomly there. Any ideas?
Took the cleaning head module apart about half way in I attended to something else, and lost where I was. Now I don’t even know how to put it back together.. can you provide some assistance?
I'm having to do this for my mother because she said it refused to function claiming it needed to be cleaned, despite being clean. So Roomba sent this part to be replaced. Upon swapping I can vouch that the previous one was reasonably clean, so it must be some sensor that incorrectly senses a dirty state.
This was obviously NOT the model to buy (I've had 3 other models in the past that died of old age) when you have pets that have small accidents since the roller assembly has electronics built into it. Live and learn. ugh.
This was so simple to follow. I was stressing this out and your video was so much more helpful than the iRobot videos. THANK YOU,!
THANK TOU FOR THESE VIDEOS!!! my Roomba found dog 💩and this was the only way to make sure it was all clean!!
My honey passed away . I’m 72 and it was pretty easy for me . Never used a screw driver before Tyvvm for your help
thank you 4 the info. My IRoomba vacuumed up 💩 and smeared it all over the floor. It is smushed in every crease and crack on it. 😬

So you took the cleaning head module apart from this type of i-Series Roomba? If so I can provide you with a video of the repair of the CHM
Why would you do this? For instance, because it won't empty the dust bin automatically anymore?

on mine the door latch for rollers broke, so ipurchased a new cleaning head module for replacement
My dog took an intense dislike to "Rosie" one day and decided that the front caster wheel, side brush and the beater bar holder were offensive.
You don’t explain how to remove the cleaning head module there must be some release I pull it but it won’t come out
Do you answer these?
Yes occasionally
