Glad you enjoyed getting my channel card and the 4 Collectors card. Thanks for sending me back one of your great T206 cards. FYI: I had already given away my card numbered 9/99, Nettles Yankee uniform number so I intentionally gave you #35, his rookie year number for the Twins.
I would love to see you do a show on cross comparing vintage football, basketball, hockey and boxing cards. I think it would help getting collectors more involved in collecting in a variety of sports.
Funny you mention that. I was just thinking how I haven't done a Basketball or Football card video in a while, and that I want to show some of my cards and talk about those two sports.
Great video Graig! What a great list of affordable cards from the 50's! You basically gave a blueprint to someone who wants to start collecting vintage! I love the moonshot cards! WTF, someone picked up a 52T Jackie in a 5 for $10k?? 4's sell for more than that!! The Aaron is on the rise, which is great, they were dropping for a while. The 51B Mantle was a great deal. Can't imagine how the guy who bid $55,000 on the Mays felt, when he got sniped by $3... Thanks for sharing!
I enjoy seeing the moonshots as well as the great deals. It's cool seeing what some of the big cards sell for, even though I can only dream ever owning one.
Graig, Really enjoyed the content today and also appreciate all the research you do for these types of videos. Just wish I could find some of the these great looking lower end graded cards you have shown on here, but work and family takes up a great deal of my time and sometimes miss out on some great deals. So glad you received the package I sent and happy that you got some cards you may need for your PC as well. The Clemens that you said looks like a Goudey is actually hand cut out of a baseball price guide from back in the day and that 5x7 Nettles explanation is in order (There was the 1980 Topps Baseball Superstars 60 card set where the Nettles I sent you is from and then they also had the 1981 Super Home Team card that has the Yankees on the bottom of the back that you got from one of your other Midlife Maniacs.....lol, so they are from two different years and have two different fronts also. My bad....Oops! Pretty sure the 1981 came in packs that also may have had Mets as well. Have a great day my friend
Your videos make up my favorite card hobby channel. I enjoy the bargains of the month along with the dream cards that you included. Perhaps you are not up to date where the card community sent you gifts from. I noticed that Minnesota which is where I reside was not included on the map. Hopefully your fan club will cover all 50 states!!
I'm glad you told me that. I didn't start doing the map until I had received about 10 gifts and at that point, I couldn't go back. I will fill Minnesota in!! Thanks!!
Great video Graig! Enjoyed the moonshots, keep 'em coming. Have you thought about a bargain basement segment? I've recently landed some slabbed HOF'ers, nice looking SGC 3-3.5s from the 60's, for less than $10!
Depends on what you buy. There are a lot of vintage cards for 50 bucks, but then the, end of the video showed higher-end vintage from 10 to 50 thousand dollars. Something for everyone I guess.
Awesome gifts, yes, need a binder video and love the map. Vintage Vintage Vintage. Keep the Moonshot segment. Here's another Mind Blown observation on the Moonshots; look at how many bidders there are on the big cards...blown.
I enjoyed all of them, Graig. The affordable cards and the iver the moon cards. I enjoyed seeing them all. Maybe you should drop the Drysdale off the list until I can pick one up. 😂
:-) There's something about that Drysdale card that I absolutely love. Maybe how young he looks, the B on the hat, his crooked teeth....it's a stunning photo in my eyes.
Great video Graig. Certainly some cards are ending at affordable prices showing promise for limited budget collectors. The moonshot segment although out of my league can be interesting to watch. Those caliber cards for me will have to remain as reprints in my collection.
You mentioned that the 58 Vada Pinson was a "great pitcher" which he wasn't. (He was an outfielder) Or did you mean "Great PICTURE". haha Another great video Graig.
I love vintage. Modern cards don’t give me the same feeling as vintage cards. Modern cards feel like pieces of cardboard to flip and vintage cards feel like pieces of historic art to keep. Thanks for the great content as usual Graig!
Totally agree. But its funny to think that back in my time those now vintage cards were just pieces of cardboard to flip. How many Mantles did I destroy. I try not to think about it.
@@Politano1955Haha I know how that feels man. When I was a kid I had the Michael Jordan rookie card and I traded it away to an older kid for my first pair of Jordans 🤦♂️ At the time I thought it was a great trade.
I like the Larry Doby card for 50 bucks. The buyer got a good deal imo. Doby the first African American player in the AL and, was only called up to the MLB just a few months after, Jackie Robinson. Everything Jackie Robinson went through. Larry did too.
Another great video Graig. In one of your recent videos you mentioned mailing a card to Dennis Eckersley for an autograph, where did you get the address and price? Can you share it? Thanks
I would like you to show cards like the Ernie Banks 1954 rookie in a 4 to 5 grade. These cards are of great interest to me, especially in the present down market! Love to buy them cheap…because the ones you showed today are simply poor investments from pure investment perspective going forward…there no interest, at least from guys like me
It's on a couple of past episodes. If I post it in here, it'll delete the comment. Can you email me? My email address is on the description of every video.
agree the cards u showed are very affordable… not most all the top tier cards.. so yeah of the cards u showed are HOF but not the big cards are certanily affordable…. and collectable.
Over 8 1/2 minutes in before starting anything to do with the thumbnail title. I’m glad you’re getting gifts, but honestly most of us probably started watching and subscribing to your channel for the vintage card content, not a map of who sent you a 83 K-Mart reprint of some guy. Just my opinion but I doubt I’m alone. I unsubscribed to sports card dad because his became several minutes of sponsor shout outs followed by 3-4 minutes of ‘breaking news’ that had already been covered by 15 other channels. I don’t want to end up doing the same with your channel. Just my 2 cents.
Those 1958 Starr and Snider cards were bargains, WOW! Love the moonshots, keep them coming!
Awesome. Glad you enjoyed them. Appreciate the feedback.
I love seeing the moon shot cards too. Some amazing buys!
Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep including them.

That's awesome!! Super thoughtful!! Thanks!!

Thank you Graig, your videos are always well done, entertaining, and knowledgeable. I value your expertise in the world of card collecting.
Thanks so much. Really appreciate those kind words.
I like the Moonshot Segment! I can oooh and aaaah over these moonshots cards!
Awesome. Thanks for the feedback. I liked doing it, too.
I enjoy seeing the moonshots as well as the great deals. It's cool seeing what some of the big cards sell for, even though I can only dream ever owning one.
Me too. Seeing what they sell for is interesting for me as well.
Another fantastic video - really enjoyed the Moonshot PickUp addition. You continue to put so many cool cards on my radar!
Thanks so much. I'll keep doing the moonshots.
Perfect video to start my weekend as I’m getting off work!!! Definitely digging the Top 10!!! It’s almost like a special guest appearance 😂👍🏽!!!!
Awesome!! Thanks so much for the feedback. I'll keep doing it!!
Great job Graig loved the 10 moonshots
Awesome. I'll start incorporating them into future episodes.

Hi Graig. Great segment as always, love seeing the additional top 10.
Awesome. I appreciate the feedback.
I absolutely love the design of the 53 54 topps, 2 of the best looking sets of all time
I agree. I LOVE both of those sets.
There are definitely great deals to be found. Another great video, Graig.
Thanks. So glad you e njoyed it.
Great show today. The affordable cards are nuts. I never would have thought I could grab a mays catch card for under 50.
The Mays catch card is one of my favorites. Probably the 'greatest catch', is one of his best career high lights.
That Mays cards is one of the best cards ever.
Thanks got the update Mike!
:-)

Depends on what you buy. There are a lot of vintage cards for 50 bucks, but then the, end of the video showed higher-end vintage from 10 to 50 thousand dollars. Something for everyone I guess.
Tons of great deals out there
I like the inclusion of the “Moonshots” Graig.
Awesome. So glad you enjoyed it. I'll keep doing them in the future.

Good point about the numbers of bids on those big cards.
The twist added spice. Love to look at dream cards too.
Awesome. I'll continue doing them.

Everything Jackie Robinson went through. Larry did too.
Agreed. Doby seems underappreciated in the hobby for some reason.
Another great video Graig. In one of your recent videos you mentioned mailing a card to Dennis Eckersley for an autograph, where did you get the address and price? Can you share it? Thanks
There is a website I use called Sportscardforum that has lots of addresses. It's free to setup an account.
@@MidLifeCards thanks!
I wanted to add to my comment, I'll have to see about adding Maine to your chart. 😉
:-) Awesome!!
Top ten definitely

Thanks for letting me know how you feel.
If investor grade Hall of Famers are popping up for under $50, that almost seems like an auto-buy if it fits in your collection
I agree. Incredible how cheap some of these cards go for. Can't believe it.
I see the ‘53 Topps SGC Mantle as having sold for 8k, not 10k? When it’s an OBO you have to check the actual sale price.
The same with the ‘54 Topps Aaron PSA 6. Shows it sold for 10k, not 12k….
I looked up the final sale price on Card Ladder.
Hold up 10,000 and 12 shipping? Wow!
LOL. Good point.
What is a good price for a 54 Banks PSA 4? Bidding on it for you as we speak!!!
Ugh. So hard to say. I use Market Movers and Card Ladder for comping cards.
Where can I find your mailing address? Somehow I missed it.
