Harm Reduction & Me - Magdalena Harris

Magdalena Harris talks honestly and openly about her experiences with harm reduction. These include injecting heroin in New Zealand, getting a hep C diagnosis and eventually deciding to get treatment. She also talks about her treatment with methadone and becoming a researcher at the Centre for Research on Drugs and Health Behaviour, based at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. 6th in the series.

Transformation whilst honouring your past is something few humans ever achieve.... Magdalena you’re a totally inspirational teacher to match on the Public Health Masters at LSHTM - where I was a very mature student in 2018-19 where listened but HEARD for the first time - You and colleagues in Public health qualitative research at LSHTM completely blew my mind and transformed my research approach, critical appraisal of “evidence based medicine” and have changed the way I interact with patients - for the immeasurably better.
