  • 2024 Mahindra Bolero NEO Crash TEST Was Done By GLOBAL NCAP And Here are the Findings:
    1. **Adult Protection**: The 2024 Mahindra Bolero Neo was tested under Global NCAP’s latest protocols. The vehicle showed low protection for adult occupants in the frontal crash. The structure of the vehicle was found to be unstable, which can lead to a higher risk of injury in the event of a collision. The footwell area was also unstable, which can result in serious leg injuries. The chest protection for the driver was weak, indicating a higher risk of chest injuries. The feet protection was poor, suggesting a high risk of foot and lower leg injuries.
    2. **Front vs Side Impact Protection**: The vehicle's front impact protection showed a significant difference compared to side impact protection. This could mean that while the vehicle may offer some level of protection in a head-on collision, it may not provide the same level of safety in a side impact crash.
    3. **Lack of Side Head Protection and Seat Belt Reminders (SBR)**: The model does not offer side head protection, not even as an optional feature. This is a significant safety concern as side head protection can greatly reduce the risk of head injuries in the event of a side impact crash. Additionally, the vehicle does not meet Global NCAP requirements for SBR. SBRs are important as they remind occupants to buckle up, which is one of the simplest ways to increase safety in a vehicle.
    4. **Child Occupant Protection**: The child occupant protection in the vehicle showed acceptable dynamic performance but was affected by several factors. These include the lack of 3 point belts in all seating positions, which are crucial for properly securing child safety seats; the lack of a passenger airbag disconnection switch, which is needed when a rear-facing child seat is placed in the front seat; and the decision to only allow one Child Restraint System (CRS) to be installed in the car, limiting the vehicle's ability to safely transport more than one child.
    5. **CRS Installation**: The CRS installation in the vehicle showed a low score as most CRS’s failed. This means that many child safety seats may not be able to be properly installed in the vehicle, posing a significant risk to child occupants.
    6. **Side Seating Benches**: The Bolero Neo offers side seating benches, which pose a significant risk for all occupants. In the event of a collision, occupants seated on these benches may not be adequately protected. Mahindra falls disappointingly short of Global NCAP’s safety expectations with the continued use of this type of seating.

    First GNCAP has rigid their parameters after 2022. And I think Bolero Neo could achieve ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ to ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Stars Easily if ESC, Rear/Side Airbags and Safety Belt Reminder (SBR) for rear were installed in it. It achieved 1 Star just because its body Metal and material is strong enough.
