The sibling dynamic between toast and lily😂
You can never go wrong with a Japanese brand car
Unless you drive close to pearl harbor
New Civics are great
true
😅 yeah it works until it doesn't and when it doesn't it costs most them my house :)) to fix it. As first car you should always buy some shi* car that goes from A to B and if someone crash you or you crash the car you won't die and it's easier to repair it. As my friend says a car that at least airbags work.
Honda and kias are great too if we forgot about their recent scandal
"I don't want a sports car...
oooh toyota supra"
Tbf its more a jdm than a sports sooo
@@agumon1605 be like "hmmm excuse me by the way !"
@@agumon1605 If by jdm you mean a bmw with a toyota chassis, sure.
@@Soyarindo you even know what a JDM is?
@@01dom A car made in cooperation with a german manufacturer in an austrian factory for an international market is by definition not a jdm. But enlighten me.
Try test driving the cars, that’s clearly the best way to find out if you like how it drives and you like how it looks.
Lmao problem is he doesn’t have a license
"Get a horse fr" 😂
11:16 he summmoned all the car enthusiasts and is asking how they know 😂 civic for sure tho basic and reliable
yea, basic and cool lookin
@@erickrisdatuin8663 yeah they got that sports car typa look but cheaper and def not a sports car HAHA
@@yyysabellaaa he could just learn manual and get the type r if he wants something thats inbetween
Civic is far below is pay grade... A Lexus IS 500 would be perfect
I think Supra would fit Toast very good. It also basically got BMW drivetrain, which is great.
Amazing first car of course
train? in a car??
@@lemon4087 Drive train = engine, power shafts, transmission.
Idk man, my friend just got a newer supra and the traction control is really poor, easily spins its tires from just a little too much throttle, and she has the automatic version.
A bmw is perfect for him
his character development went from not driving something super flashy to "I'm famous, I feel like I should drive something super flashy!"
fun fact: if u get ur license but don't drive, ur insurance is a lot less. they charge u for how long u had ur license without incident. now "how long you've been driving''. so get your license as soon as u can but u don't have to drive until u feel ready/want to
he rich
@@OtakuSadEyes the comment is meant for the rest of us who aren’t and the young who haven’t gotten their license yet.
Or you know, just drive and don't get into accidents?
Acura Integra Type S for sure, not too flashing but still pretty, it's a honda so it's very reliable, they're not super expensive, they're fast but not TOO quick, a four door for more storage and space for friends, it's the perfect first car all around
Im a Toyota fan for life but this the correct answer
Type s is manual only
One of the high end AUDI would be not flashy and impress at the same time.
i agree
like a a5 or a6 would be good since it is his first car it shouldnt be that fast
but if he wants it to be fast the s line cars would also be good
The value pick is the first car you see on the side of the road with a phone number.
Reliability
*Honda Civic
*Toyota Corolla
*Mazda 3 (I recommend this one, better build then civic and Corolla and has more options. The touring edition is relatively nice with better features and interior then civic and Corolla and reliability is similar to Toyota and Honda)
Edit: they also don’t have Toyota/Honda reliability tax despite powertrain lasting about the same amount of miles.
Luxury
Just get a lexus. It’s a Toyota build and reliable. It’s great overall and super comfortable. They are expensive with options under and over 100k.
thank you google to suggesting a mustang as a beginner car
funny thing chat immediately said nono oh no no no no lmao
Get an Acura, Lexus or Genesis. They are just fancy versions of Honda/Toyota/Hyundai respectively but you get a lot of cushy luxury options.
North America, you may want to consider whichever Hyundai Ioniq is available and to your taste, or Honda Civic Type R, Toyota Supra, or Chevy Camaro
You should get a mk8 GOLF R, i own one it looks good, looks agressive and drives really well, it was my first car too and has taught me a lot as a first car and i have owned it for a year now 11/10 would reccomend. For a flashier luxurious car I would get the BMW I7 Hybrid if i had the money, or evenmercedes c class, C300, C200 if you want more power C63S E
TOAST! I love cars and I believe that the best car for you given your status and ability in driving would be a Lexus LS350. If you want the sportiest looking/feeling with less of a care in cost and maintenance and overall upfront cost try the “f sport”. It is very similar to the Toyota Supra in feel as both Toyota and Lexus are owned by the same car group. Lexus was intended to be the ‘luxury’ version of Toyota. So with that in mind you would get the reliability of Toyota and overall driving feel/ comfort of Toyota; with the luxury and materials you would find in a bmw, Audi or Mercedes. This car is also good for a first car specifically because it is smaller in size. Which means less chance of hitting curbs and hitting other objects.
If you want to be more basic than Toyota Camry or Corolla are both very good too. Depending on your needs/wants. Great first cars!
Also glad you like the nsx one of my favorite cars lol. Old and new.
not flashy yet kinda cool?
i've got a few suggestions:
Mazda Miata NB. it's a cool and fun car, but the rust may be annoying to deal with if you're unlucky
Lexus LS400. has a v8 which always fun, yet pretty comfortable to drive, and it's pretty relaiable too.
Mercedes e55 amg. again, V8. V8s are alway fun. and it looks quite nice too, especially with some better looking rims
wtf... teach me bro, maybe ill bag some pricks if i have this kinda knowledge
Why not the NA, its better fr if you wanna go with future generations just go with the ND
He lives in LA, so rust shouldn't be a huge problem there
@@fedgaming9178 He'll prolly go for the ND. Going older is a whole different situation to handle, you have to have actual knowledge of cars and be willing to sit with the creature comforts of newer cars and that easier for people that love cars.
@@fedgaming9178 ngl nb is literally just an improved NA without popups
”I don’t want anything too expensive. I was thinking like 100k.”
Its always a Good Day when Toast uploads
Audi Q4 e-tron. First automatic car, but I like driving automatic now lol.
The Skoda Octavia was nice for me before. :)
My first vehicle that I’ve own is a 2020 Ford Escape, and so far it’s been prefect. I’m happy so long as the inside feels spacious, too small of a vehicle would just make me feel claustrophobic 🙃
Toyota Corolla highly reliable, fairly fuel efficient, and while not very fast, it will get you from a-b safely. Plus, buy a 2010 used, and you can get a 2010 used for like 5-8 grand.
lexus IS 500. around 80k-100k i believe and not too flashy
I think you mean the LC 500 but yes it’s a great option!
I would say IS 350 he just got his license. Something simple yet sporty and not a sports car like he said.
If you happen to see this post, Kia K5! It's a super safe car, fairly cheap (compared to other cars out there), and it looks amazing. You can get a panoramic sunroof, making the almost the whole roof glass, and it opens. I had people ask me several times what kinda car it was, and I never experienced any issues with it.
i was just about to say this. I’ve been driving the k5 for 2 years and absolutely no issues, the awd makes it great for any condition, and it looks amazing
Porsche Taycan, got the sporty look, luxury feel, and it's electric for the environment
Easy driving car, but not too flashy, yet cool. Cadillac CT5-V. You could always go with a Jeep Cherokee in polar white with the chrome finish.
Look at Polestar Car, Audi RS7 Avant, Toyota/Lexus. Tesla's have tons of firmware and software issues, enough to want to stay away from them. They had a huge recall last year above the 150k number which is insane. DSG company car could be a tax write-off, Lilly is onto something here Toast!
You should get a KIA Stinger GT Line or GT2 for speed. Theres also the Lexus IS for luxury. My friend’s first car was a Lexus IS. All automatics are easy to drive.
Toast please, any car is a beginner car as long as you’re light on the pedal. The more luxurious stuff don’t get more difficult with the handling, it’s the opposite instead (except for the ones with high horsepower). Plus, I have seen some dummies that own a gwagon but are afraid of jumping a curb, you’ll 100% be fine. It’s not a motorcycle where one mistake is all it takes.
Just get a Prius. The new ones look sleek and they're really easy to drive
My dude should've gotten a VW passat, the modern ones have all the cool gadgets and if you buy the wagon, you can lower the back seats on a date an have a 2 person bed
4:12 looks like a car Tony Corleone would drive 🤭🤭
Get an Audi S6 or S7. Very understated and not too "flashy", yet are sporty enough to have fun and big enough that you can put friends in comfortably. Car and driver ceo said if he could only buy 1 car it wild be the A6 which is a slower S6.
BMW is similar but drives less comfortable and more sporty.
Or go Volvo they are probably the best looking most comfortable but your driving a volvo
If reliability is the only car get a Toyota or Lexus or Honda or Acura
If you want easy first car with hybrid do S90 recharge
get a Lexus IS 500 F Sport , 4 door, reliable but still very much a sports car, but classy enough to be under the radar
60k
also might appreciate in value bc its the last of the V8's from Lexus so decent money move
For a new driver and someone not into cars, the IS 350 would be a better fit.
0:28 Anita Carr!! Anita Maxx Wynn's cousin
Toast seems like a Porsche guy but like a Panamera
Lily going in was the best 😂😂😂
The fact that not a single person recommended the: 2024 KIA K5 GT Line is mind boggling. Like no one in your chat knows about cars
the new prius looks good if you put some new wheels on it
bro there are only 2 options
1) Toyota camry (isa hybrid)
2) Honda accord hybrid (isa honda)
cheap, reliable, look decent, easy to drive, perfect first cars
i have a 2022 BRZ manual and it is nice, affordable, and gets lots of attention surprisingly
Toast saying "The Fast and The Furious" instead of the Fast and Furious is hilarious to me😂
Subaru WRX/ Subaru WRX STI has AWD and it’s great mine has heated seats and I wouldn’t get a manual as your first one but automatic still good 👍
Just remember... Weight is everything with cars. The car that is touted as, "safe," because it is heavy is the easiest car to crash in (or generally look a fool). Same goes for power if talking first cars. So... Tesla is a terrible idea
Toast should get a volvo to drive his many famous children around
Im surprised chat didn't mention mazda miata or mx5. I mean it's a great handling car and pretty barebone
they put a corvette in the thumbnail but didnt look at basically any in the video lmao
camery sport model thank me later, for hatch theres the gr corrola, and if you want a 2 door r35 gtr is a good pick
honestly if you want 4 seater the Cadillac ctsv has good interior tech and drive great
brz and 86 are nice, i drive an 86 but theyre mostly manual but u can find an auto but only lames drive auto brzs x
Honestly, the answer is Subaru. The cars look nice, things are easy to change on it (battery is readily available for jump starting or replacing if need be), It drives good in any weather, and the resale value on them is unmatched. Always Subaru, remember that.
How about buying a military Jeep
Jeep is a terrible, shit brand that requires constant repairs
@@chairoftheboredthere goes my dream
@johnpaulculasi8366 tbh every car needs maintenance just that some cars are more demanding than others.
In my country u have to complete 28 driving lessons with a licensed teacher to be able to take a test and when u pass u have to be accompanied with someone above the age of 21 for 3 months and then u have to be accompanied only at nights for the next 3 months and then u can drive alone or with 2 passengers until it’s been 2 years since you’ve passed your driving test- or if you get to the age of 21, whatever happens first. If youre above 21 u can start driving alone when you pass the test tho.
So we have some very strict rules, unlike the us.
i feel like he would’ve liked the camry trd
Did you decide? Think you should get a Maserati, or an Aston Martin.
Sure they may have reliability issues but i imagine theyll be a bit more of a niche option. Jaguar F type is another option.
As its your first car just get something that works. Like most people say Japanese is probably the safest bet.
I feel like Toast would vibe with an Audi RS6 Avant
Edit: On Second thought probably not.
actual options: Audi a3 or a5 if you want a sportier car get a Audi TT or Audi R8 or Rs7
id like to suggest Toyota Wigo for you toast, beginner friendly, cost effecient and decent looking with a small body
I like the Honda Hybrid Accord ex-l version
Tesla has a LOT of safety features embedded in + has autopilot to help drive. Looks better to pick up the ladies in than a Toyota/Honda (if he cares about that)
Downside is that the driving style is very different from typical cars, so once you drive Tesla, it's hard to adjust back
if you really want a good beginner car definitely go for hondas or toyotas
"I dont want a sport car"
NSX......
If I want something that felt kinda fancy and not garner any kind of attention, I'd go with a Lexus or Acura, then it depends on you whether you want 4 or 2 seats
Golf GTI but not the new one, the previous clubsport or tcr
Scion tC fits the description
Anyone wanting something classy? A new volvo s60 hybrid, gas for long range, pluggin electric for every day stuff. fairly economical, not super expensive(for a brand new "luxury hybrid")
Since he don’t trust his driving skill
I would recommend him Tesla
Or if he likes fancy car under 100k
Porsche good option too
Toast gives me truck vibes
I love that Toast is out of touch but he a self aware out of touch. lol
Lexus IS 300 F Sport - reliable and looks good. Or just get a Tesla Model 3 as a starter car, Model S if you want to be fancy but its fast.
If he's still thinking about the 400z he should get a body kit since that frontend is kinda lame. There are probably other good ones, but the Liberty Walk body kit makes the car look cooler.
Honest suggestion, as a car guy and professional driver:
Youre probably going to crash your first car since youre only now starting to drive.
Get something that can be totaled, has AWD, and is safe, then when youre more comfortable driving and have finished a defensive driving class, get something nicer.
Id go with a Subaru WRX but only because the Legacy is uglier.
Its a little sporty, automatic, high safety ratings, second only to Volvo in safety across their line up.
or the Toyota Crown if you dont mind spending a little more.
THEN once you dont suck at driving any more, Id go for something sportier.
The 400Z Nismo you were looking at has twice the horse power and is rear wheel drive so itll feel very different than the WRX or Crown.
How about a used 2004 Honda Civic?
Toast check out the volvo v90, they are super reliable and i think they look nice
You can never go wrong with a GTR 34
just gotta sell both kidneys 😊
Why would you recommend a special car to someone who is not into cars.
Who ever said the type r isn’t Manuel is crazy
I think I could see Toast in a Lexus LC500
mini cooper
Lexus for luxury but good quality. Basically a Toyota but nicer. Tesla is also nice but just annoying to charge unless you have a charger at home.
We need a colab between toast and some youtube car guys
Get a new Volvo. Good choice of SUV, Sedan or even a sleek wagon. Girls will appreciate that it shows you have money, but are practical and value comfort/ safety. They are understated, but stylish.
Also let’s be honest even though Toast says he wants a normal car, his ego won’t let him drive a basic car like a Civic. It still needs to be a subtle flex.
An Audi RS7 is a great do everything car, I drive one. Ticks a ton of categories. It is most definitely flashy though, which it doesn’t sound like he wants.
get an 86 be a tofu delivery boi Toasty
"Best beginner cars: Ford Mustang"
What could go wrong...
I feel like a Hyundai N series car would fit what Toast wants: beginner friendly, looks more unique, and honestly not the most reliable car, but probably mid.
Volvo, Honda, or Toyota. The best three brands in my opinion, very reliable and generally safe vehicles to chose from.
imagine toast in a hellcat
I’m from the Midwest so I guess it makes sense, but idk how people get around without a car.
Civic EK9 equiped with k24 and recaro seats is a good first car.
jk
GR Yaris is 100% a good beginner car
You should look at the Volvo S60, it’s more pricy but its got good safety features and it’s fancy. But repairs and maintenance will cost a good amount but I feel like that will be ok for you LOL
Cadillac CTS 5V Blackwing
honestly he should either go with a porsche macan (new one) or a gr86
I suggest a Lexus LC or RC F. I think it suits Toast’s personality pretty well. It’s clean, classy, and pretty rare to see. Also it’s a Lexus which is way more reliable compared to BMW or Mercedes. If you don’t know, Lexus is the luxury brand of Toyota so the reliability is guaranteed.
Don’t take advice from a bunch of teenagers. You’re not that age range. Get advance from a car guy who is 30+. Also, I suggest you rent the car before you buy it so you can drive it around for a bit.
Chat GPT suggests Mazda 3? Let’s go baby!
Toast should get a lexus lc500 or is350f sport. they’re both luxury cars that are fast and fun while staying reliable as lexus is just toyota reskinned.
Toast cruise with me in my 2020 NSX, lets talk business
Like because of Lilys trolling at the end ❤😂
From a car guy to a newbie. You can get a Toyota Supra, Nissan GTR R35, Honda Civic type R 2023(it’s a manual transmission which is great for car guy but not for normal guy).
Those are bad recommendations for a new driver.
subaru empereza is a good one
Toast should get a Lamborghini Urus,
it’s an high class luxury SUV that is the perfect balance for having high performance while being able be comfortable and practical for everyday usage.
Essentially it’s a luxurious version of the Toyota RAV4-which is America’s number one bestselling SUV in the market right now. You should have no problem with using it for getting groceries or errands and it’s a Lambo so it’s guaranteed a luxury experience.
