"Dear Brian, I watched your video this week and I am really moved by the kind gesture of playing the Wabash Blues for your father-in-law. It is a truly touching act and shows how special music is in connecting people. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Keep spreading love through music."❤🙋♂️
THIS is the one that did it. I found your vids a bit more than a month ago and I've spent some time on you website looking around. Because I'm on SS, I have to be careful with money, but all the vids you do on double stops and triads are SO tempting ... I'm going to sign up for a month ... maybe every 3 months. I will be signing on tonight. BTW, I've been playing guitar since 1964 and in about a month your lessons have taken me WAY further on guitar then any book or teacher I ever studied under. Brian YOU are an amazing teacher.
Brain I too am sorry to hear about your father in law. Ive been an Active Melody subscriber for a number of years and this by far is the best lesson because you made it personal for your father in law. This 73 year old rocker likes close families. I play guitar often with my son. Thank you for sharing
great tune, lesson, and example of how to present strength and empathy during a challenging and sacred moment in the circle of life of a loved one. hail to the traveler
Hey Brian-thank you for sharing your talent. Your teaching is much appreciated. My prayers are with you and your family, and of course your father in-law. As I try to get this down, I'll be thinking of y'all. God Bless.
So sorry to hear that Brian your playing is full of movement and emotion and very calming for him to listen to he must find it relaxing and therapeutic my thoughts are with you and the family take care x
I think my favourite lesson so far Brian, love this tune, especially that c/b chord section in the middle, can't stop playing it. I'm just about there and desperate to show off to friends. Sounds great on electric guitar too (Epiphone Casino for me).
I just read your email referring to your 'late father in law'. My sincere condolences, Brian. Having lost a family member recently, I know the pain you are going through. Hang in there!
Hi Brian thanks for all your lessons over the years ive learned so much from you thanks so much, do you not think that you should take this lesson down and re do it completely free. Life's for giving
@activemelody I have retired brian. I lost my wife to ovarian cancer three years ago. She was only 54 years young. When you have had a problem that all the money in the world cannot fix you realise money is not as important as you think. I think its acceptable that you charge for your own compositions and it amazes me how you keep coming up with them. And I think that it's great that you have got your own gig on UA-cam and you are successful. I just felt that it would be a great gesture to give a lesson for free sometime. I get more pleasure from giving most of the time. God bless you and your family and tell your wife how much you love her everyday

The way you talk so casually about the close death of someone who loves you and then just continue with the video as if it meant nothing is both shocking and very telling how this social media/UA-cam monster is corrupting people‘s souls.
@@Project_2501 Implying that I'm being flippant, and careless in my comment about my dying father-in-law is about as low of a comment as you can possibly make. I made this video as a tribute to him. Go somewhere else and stop watching my videos and saying shitty things to people when they're struggling, troll.

Worth getting the year subscription. It’s like a gym membership. Pay the money and it makes you practice
@@Alonewithyoutonight As I explained, I just do not have the money. I'll just practice extra hard on the stuff I can afford.
I took it as a tribute and a respectful one. Thanks, Brian, for sharing with us such an personal thing.

Brian, I am so sorry to hear about your father-in-law. He is truly blessed to have a good son-in-law like you.💔
Another one of your arrangements that I HAVE to learn.

Cool as anything
Prayers for Kent...
Sorry to hear about your father in law. Great thing to do by his side. I would like to no what strings do you use?
🙏
Can you do a lesson on a song called A place to fall apart by Merle Haggard?
Brian, have you listened to that recent release Playing for the Man at The Door?
Amazing blues recordings
Brian, has any body mentioned the tab shows an Amin chord instead of an E chord in your tab, might be a bit mis leading.
Nobody has mentioned anything - where in the tab are you referring? What measures? or where in this video (time stamp?)
Is that a 9090B or a DB in the background.
Hey! I'm trying to find part 2 but struggling
link is in the description
This is a Martian I presume?

Congratulations Nice Job !!!

1st!
Sorry Brian, my mistake.
Hey bar chords are hard...
So, this is going to teach HALF of the song? I don't get it

A strong mind can talk about setbacks and continu, even if it hurts. ❤ Respect for Brian
Ironically, the one mean-spirited / hurtful comment on here is yours. Thanks for doing that during an extremely difficult time.
