Proof that Mousey has improved her health is that she has partially recovered the mid and low ranges of her voice.
Actually that's a good point. She started speaking in a higher voice because it caused less strain on her damaged vocal cords. That probably means lower ranges have extra strain on her
Over the last few years she's been slowly recovering her voice. This one song is a great example of her progress. At first she could barely do half the song and it took a lot from her. There's one point where she did almost the entire thing, but sang the very last part in her normal voice. And one day, she was finally able to do the song from start to finish. Many tears that day.
When you think her lung condition was so bad that she lost her voice entirely for a year, it's absolutely insane that she managed to recover so much. She's absolutely crazy. Her amazing force of will to keep pushing through is a beautiful example that we should never give up on our dreams.

It's why I both hate and love watching older Mouse clips; hate that she has been dealt such a bad hand in life, but also love that she's come so far...

After the shock I noticed the normal reaction of a smile on her lips. This happens EVERYTIME. I saw it on Connor the first time he heard her sing, I saw it with Tectone and several others from OTK. She calls herself Satan, but her voice is basically angelic
I could see her doing a Bond opening song... hear.
It's an insane twist of fate if you think about it. Mouse wanted to be a singer growing up. She got too sick and the only thing she could do was become a streamer. And somehow, through that, she's become a more famous singer than she likely would have been had she been able to take the traditional route. Good on ya Mouse, you got there your own way.

Some curses can be made into blessings, rarely, but Mouse is absolutely a prime example.
You can tell that her Shakira is straining her vocals close to the edges of her lower tones for sure, but it's still crazy how good she is at doing it, specifically because it's quite far from her normal speaking/singing range.

That because she’s still technically a soprano I think she mentioned it in a stream one time. It’s like a specific type of soprano. But her range is insane especially for the health issues she has
@@morgancuda1548 Yeah she was trained as a coloratura soprano, which is rare and the second highest I think. She still sings up in the whistles sometimes but there's not much call for it with most of what she sings currently.
Fun fact. Lower octaves require more oxygen. So much so that while recording for Dragon Ball GT, Sean Schmel nearly passed out while doing the SSJ4 voice.

Well, how she speak is not really her normal voice, she got sick and her voice changed. Now what that all means in practice, no idea.

@@autohmae Well technically it her normal voice, while the sickness does make her voice abit higher, it was already naturally higher and less strain on her vocal cord. People with naturally high pitch voice have a harder make deeper voice and it will strain their voice the same as we trying to do high pitch. Mouse wanted to be a Opera singer at one point so she very good at controlling her pitch (also come with her natural talents).
The best way to see it is that someone "natural" voice is the voice they spoken the most because it comfortable.

Remember guys, this is her "real" voice. The one she had before Ursula the sea witch (otherwise known as health issues) took her voice away.
Not really, it's her singing voice. No one who is a professionally trained singer sings exactly the same as their speaking voice. Considering Mouse is trained as a classical opera singer, the difference is even more pronounced. But yes, her illness did severely affect her voice in general.

Eeeeeeh, regaining a lower range isn't the same thing as this-voice-is-that-voice. Consider Amalee; her character voices sound like different women despite all being in pretty much the same range.
@@lordzaboem case in point: the Nikke characters Rupee and Viper. Rupee is a gyaru with a higher pitched voice, while Viper sounds more sultry by comparison. Both are voiced by AmaLee yet neither sounds like her real voice.

I had a singing teacher who used to preform all the time until she got throat cancer, she can still talk but can’t sing anymore. I felt so sorry for her. Seeing that Mousey can still sing, and her health slightly improving makes me so happy. I can’t imagine loosing my voice, and I’d be devastated if Mousey did as well. She’s such an incredible singer.

We really need to put some respect on Mouse's vocal range and breathing technique because she is beyond "skilled", considering her health condition. She's on permanent oxygen support, this woman is remarkable, like that's the hardest part of singing in the first place. They nerfed Mouse because otherwise she'd be 5x platinum or something.
Addionally, she's be a GOD LIKE voice actress. Her range is just keeping me in awe.

Oh my god, I've seen Mouse's opera singing, but that Shakira style is a whole other thing, so good! It makes me so happy to see her doing what she loves, doing it incredibly and improving with time despite the huge challenges of her condition.

such a powerful woman. fully healthy people have trouble mastering bel canto and it took me years to get vibrato control to something close to hers and she just does it with a tap in her throat and on pain meds, with barely functional lungs.

I don't know if this could ever happen but I would absolutely love for Mousey to collab with Sora from Hololive. They debuted a month apart with Mousey being in early August and Sora officially being early Sept. At the moment this makes them the two oldest VTubers after Siro, moreover the two are both opera trained and I think sora had to drop out as well. I could see a group collab with the both of them plus A-chan and I think that would be awesome.

One of my favorite things about mouse when she sings is her vibrato. It's so clear, clean, and well done. Not many singers han hold vibrato like she can and it's beautiful.

It's so beautiful that we get the chance to hear Mouse singing with such power and range. I remember back in the day where even normal talking streams would get her winded. She has come so far over the years.

Singing in that lower register when you are naturally a high soprano is insane. It's like a reverse falsetto, and it's very exhausting to do.
