And that is a dream wedding.
This is how real literates look
Kanishk Singh right
Exactly 🤘👌
Not literate it's educated.
Literate knows only to read & write but Educated use their knowledge
Sir in tribal districts of odisha we dont need plastics. Almost zero wastage in all functions. But we the People are Illiterate .so this is a mindset that only literate people do that.
Shit country from 🇮🇷
I really appreciate the couple who have made their wedding in such a traditional way truly representing the south Indian marriage style.
Story of every South Indian wedding
Almost on all occasions, we use banana leaves. In my home, we eat on banana leaves even on Ganesh chaturti and other festivals. I remember reading mocking comments from westerners and north Indians on a video, they considered it 'uncultured'.
@Once Upon a Mountain Time yeah I know..I'm just saying. There are many such practices which are actually advantageous but discouraged because it's not 'western'.
But the question is...do you compost those banana leaves? Do you donate the left over food? Do you take extra step to enlighten others on waste management & the green way? If not, keep quite & let them have their moment.
Am from south India 😍😍
@@nunpuiisingson298 yeah we do that here in Kerala ?
Traditional indian weddings are simple and less costly . Traditional way of conducting marriage doesn't require any extravaganza. It is the take over of event management culture which led to expensive weddings
💯
When educated people has their focus on protecting the world rather than fighting against each other
South India has always been eco friendly and will be especially in tamilnadu and kerala ❤️🇮🇳
How to have a zero wastage wedding

Best Solution. Controls Population too. !😆
How to have a zero waste marriage?
Me: by staying single.
Lol
Stolen 🔥
Go to the registrar's office and get married. Most green and inexpensive way.
sometimes I guess it is important to make a statement as well.
Or go to a LDF party office and get married. function ends with giving chai and vada
@@24sahib you are literally making and signing a statement at the registrar's.
This is a very beautiful wedding and love the idea of little or no waste, blessings to the lovely couple, their families and the guests❤️
Mator 233, going to the registrar and signing a statement ??? Indian culture is the most beautiful in the universe and weddings are a part of it. Weddings are a family, community and the guest affair of joining families and should be celebrated, lets also celebrate NO WASTE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wtf, This is basically every regular wedding in South India.
Tell me about it! I don't know why they're making a big deal out of it
And looks like nobody really say on the bedding ...and used chairs instead
The left over food and the gifting was good though.... although most south indian weddings left over food is actually distributed to the poor.
Yes... The banana leaf , steel glass , organic flower decorations etc are more common... Food wastes are close to zero , it will be delivered to poor communities ... All these are done in every state in south india ..yes sometimes luxurious weddings also happens... And produce some quantities of waste...
The only thing which striked me from this couple is that they specifically asked their guests to donate to environmental protection agencies .. And gave them saplings and organic coffee . That's a new initiative in India...
But the point is they are not South Indian. They were inspired by them .
Absolutely Adarsh
I am from South India(Kerala). I opened this video to see some new ideas about green wedding. But this is a typical South Indian Wedding.
Last scene... Everyone is sitting on chair in stead of bed
Brut lied to us
Sujata sahoo wooden or steel chair
@@deeptisingh5507 wooden or steel chairs
old ppl need to sit not everyone can sit down
Yes bed is really a bad idea though 😣
*Most of the Kerala wedding's are held similarly.*
VINAYAKAN SAJEEV actually nearly all south Indian weddings r the same with different rituals
@@geethasrinivasgeetha6050 yeah true.
Yes but they didn't had exchange of expensive gifts/gold . Chlothes were from heirloom. ..
No! Most Malayali weddings are big and fat. They're mostly about flaunting jewelry, and trying to impress others. Yes, Covid has changed all that a little.
Damn you are so handsome ❤️
other than gifts, every single wedding at my native place is like this. 🤔.
For my city wedding we did it at aadivasi aashram near Mumbai. Every single penny went to them. They cooked for us and decorated with native things. That was 20 years ago😁
WOW great bro
Wow
U r great
20 years a go the marriages were like this only now we are using short cuts and use plastics and unnecessary decoration.
Appreciate ur efforts.Brut was not there then so it was not covered.
kudos to Their parents, they allowed this...
Hey my brothers in South in himachal pradesh we also also use leaves to serve food in marriages before but now everyone using plastic not banana leaves but there is a tree which have round leaves we are forgetting our eco friendly culture but i know you are the one who has following it don't loose this banana style under the influence of western and women look beautiful in saree and kamarbandh and men in dhoti or lungi you guys are beautiful love you from very far in the north
I'm from uttarakhand and we too used plates made from leaves.
From UP ..we used leaves or steel plates in past ...n weddings use to happen in morning hours saving on electric power
In past now we all are destroying
@@apieeR yeah we have same type of pahari culture i think may be
@@dixitkumar2391 thanks for positiveness on eco friendly wedding knot.north Indians are good. Lovable people.
South always inspires me to get more close to nature.
That's how we do in South ...that's how we do in Kerala .
....I've seen this in all Southindian weddings , events & temples ...it's pretty much same in Kannada land , Telugu lands , Tamils as well...
@An Angry Man For one thing Kerala has the highest literacy rate. The fact that you cant even spell Kerala correctly says a lot about your literacy.Secondly Kerala does not promote terrorism in any way. Most people in Kerala are way more accepting towards other relegion that in any part of India. So before calling Kerala a shit hole you should look in the mirror first.
Visit outside kerala people do this
@@athuldas9350 Yess!!!...kerla is a terrorist state 😤😤😤😤
@An Angry Man wtf,but we don't kill people for eating cows, like you guys do in North India.
Every wedding in south india is a “zero waste wedding “..!! We are doing this for centuries 🙂
This is the reason i love south indian culture even though i live in mumbai
The younger generation should take up this trend & the elders should encourage them to be such trendsetters . Change for ... the better ✅
Exactly..
Trillions if Blessings to the Couple and the people who supported them. Hope people around me in Punjab understand this and make our environment and society a better place to live.
Nice to see some peoples r changing there thought. Best marriage wishes to those couples.
They did lot of good that day .
A day they remember forever .
I wish this couple the best
May they live happily ever after
And no one used the bed instead everyone was sitting on chairs.
I too wish for a marriage like this where the bride and groom could realise the most precious moment in their life rather than show off ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
They served drinks in steel glasses and half of them went missing
Best option is earthen cups as traditional method. It's more satisfying than glass, steel or plastic.
😁😁😁😁
@@Dave_en Personally, I find the texture of them to be quite annoying on my lips. And they get dusty sometimes, resulting in dusty water.
@@ibadatsidhu81 you don't have to use it directly. It is to be dipped into water previously so that it doesn't absorb more water and dust is removed. In Banaras, we used to have prasad on sal-leaf plate and earthen glass.
Though it depends on personal preference, I never liked the idea of plastic. Metals(copper, brass, steel, bronze, silver etc) and glass made crockery are lot better and eco-friendly.
@@Dave_en Same here, I don't like plastic or metal, glass cups are fine with me. I don't live in India, thought I'm Punjabi, so I'm not used to the cups. Also, I'm very sensitive to touch, so I'm picky about texture. Anyways, thanks for ur insight.
South indians ...again setting an incredible example for the rest of india
People intending to get married must learn some lesson from them.
You should too
@Memcha Laishram it's there choice wedding only happen once for most people what is wrong in spending money
@@Babumoshai.. you are right brother. It's once in a lifetime thing. Just some things need to be taken care of.
1- throwing of garbage on streets
2- use of plastic cups etc
3- throwing of precious food stuffs.
Don't you agree? And costume, jewellery, decoration can be as per one's choice and wallet. No harm in that. What do you say?
@@sidharthapatra4296 yes i agree about the food should not be wanted and Garbage should not thrown I said it about the costumes and jewelery then he started talking about divorce and other stuff
@@Babumoshai.. I understood that. That's why you kept mum didn't drag it further i know.
They are real literates !❤️

South Indian people are just great because they are educated, and not only cirtified educated they are real educated ❤️. Love and respect to South Indian from Assam.

😂 That's Actually just regular wedding in Kerala, well I guess mostly for South India, Except for the 2 point but still most people nowadays provide tree saplings as gesture for attending wedding.... and if there were any leftovers they are donated mostly.....
Beautiful approach. .We all should follow
So beautiful and eco- friendly wedding.
Well done..😊
A lot for the northies to learn here.
A lot of Indians*
rupasri pattanayak thank you so much. 😀
True coz most of the South Indian weddings traditionally only r waste free (majority )
@mad Rascal bas shuru. matlab gaali dene ka bahana chahiye. Happy kali puja and a prosperous diwali to you all
geethasrinivas geetha If that were the case this wedding wouldnt have been highlighted. It could very well be that southern indians might have a less waste wedding than rest of indians
One can have such beautiful wedding if they have a beautiful heart. May God bless this couple with lots of good health and joy... Lot to learn from them..
Awesome..have a blessed and blissful life together
Here in Gujarat every rural wedding is simple, sober and zero waste wedding and most urban weddings are literally nothing but a show off
We need more people like them. They will make the world a better place.
This is so beautiful and makes me so happy. ❤️
I think only the gift idea is new... Else it is every other other Indian wedding. But it's so nice to promote this idea! A much needed thing for the future

Wedding itself is a waste of time and life😂😂😂 what's the point of zero wastage..
Awesome and salute to you newly wed Couple.
Wishing you all the best.
Woww.. I cant even that im seeing people like me.. Rare to find. Thanks for your innovation and uploading it..
These are so simple yet very effective prospects. I guess we all know this but fail to put it into action.
This literally looks like any other middle class indian wedding
Ngaihsanawm dun lutuk. Nupa hlim thei tak an nih ngei ka beisei. Kudos to them & their family ♥️
Beautiful wedding arrangements...❤️❤️
Is this Zero waste wedding or sustainable wedding/events is only applicable to India, why is this not applicable to other countries....
By the way Good initiative,
Best eco friendly wedding tip:
Don't have a wedding. Just live-in.
When beautiful minds get together
Great initiation.. U two are inspiration for many.. Wish you a very happy married life.
In one way you can say this is appreciable.
But in extravagant weddings, many livelihoods are supported.
For example if you buy a new saree from a weaver, his family is supported and inturn you are helping the economy. This is redistribution of wealth.
If everyone starts getting adjusted with whatever the things they have, then there would be no money flow which collapses the economy and many livelihoods.
But inorganic waste should be eliminated,I agree with that completely.
Western influence should not stop India from serving its hidden purposes which might look foolish from outside😄
Even in this wedding they would have hired caterers, decorators, vendors for giving gifts, bought sarees. It's just sensible spending, that's all
@@ronita1984 yeah cool..its just that extravagant weddings should not be seen as a sin."If you have money and you are willing to spend then spend it" should be the case and ofcourse with environment friendly means
How about go to a court and get married there? That will ensure 100% zero waste.
Woooow..... A big round of applause for them👏👏👏👏👏👏👏...... And a big message for us to understand...... I hope some of us will change our mind and will start thinking like them and will try to do our part.....
Respect....best wishes for your future endeavours.
