This is the most well put together guide for hamlet I've seen so far. Learned a lot of new helpful things that I can take advantage of and you just earned a sub. I like that you kept it quick as well.
@@JackyMan22 it's ez af. just later it becomes harder. the pig shops are very good. But what is your problem rn? with what are you struggling? if you can't go past day 10, you might wanna try out reign of giants and shipwrecked first.
your content is amazing, the content is quick to it, without stalling or taking too much time, and it really respects the viewers time, you deserve more subs!
I've tried playing Hamlet multiple times. Got killed by the start of humid season. And now I know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks Jazzy. Also, quick side note, this is the most entertaining reference guide I've seen for Hamlet. :)
Thanks! After a few tries I found that setting the Temperate season to long gives some well needed rest to explore. Even with this video it seems still quite challenging to do all of that in 11 days.
This is a really good guide. I literally was dying so much. After a few attempts, I finally made it to the nest and made it out but I didn't realize that would actually bring me to the palace island! I know this is probably a good thing but it is annoying cause my plans are all mixed up and I wasted time trying to get back cause I thought I was on the same island lol
Plz keep up a useful and quick guide to surviving don't starve hamlet. I haven't seen anyone else put a video focused solely on tips and guides to surviving hamlet, keep it up!
1:41 made me laugh. I know this pain all too well. I love pugs and hate them at the same time. I love how you narrate the game play. I would love listen to plenty of Don't Starve lets plays like this from start to finish. Or just some full lets plays from you in general, I hope you consider it. Edit: Holy cow, this video is amazing! I've been absolutely frustrated with Hamlet because it's so different from RoG, this helps so much. You deserve way more views. Thank you! I found your live stream videos, great content, I plan on watching the full series. It'd be great if you made guides for future seasons and best locations for base set ups etc. I'm completely torn between if I should be buying the house in town or just building in the wilderness etc and figuring out a fast sustainable way for a food source since spider dens aren't a thing.
ive been following this guide (the part where camping out in the woods instead of at the hamlet) and boy i already found the palace, set up a nettle farm, tons of gold and oincs, and craft a pith hat all before day 11. thanks for the help
Actually the unnecessary pillar opens all the suspicious cracks in all the romes that you already explored. What I usually do I explore all the romes then I mine unnecessary pillar to open all the cracks in this ruin.
Oh it was certainly not my intention for this to be a beginner's guide. To be honest I would not recommend Hamlet for beginners as it "throws you under the iceberg" much sooner in the game. But if you get your early game together in Hamlet then the other DLC will feel like a walk in the park!
If you optimise you can get this done in under 3 days however I didn’t get the gas mask and slightly less resources in total Here’s some more tips I used: (played as wheeler) Day1- fight beefalo use it to get trees and hopefully also fight a snap plant or a pig guard also get iron and rocks and gold Day - 2 get the stalking cane set up if not done already get porcupine pricks and to the pig queen . Wheeler is the best choice for this as she has speed but inventory can be toigh
Oh really? I just remember what everyone was calling it in the beginning. So fun making guides in early access! Half of them will be totally inaccurate by the time the full release comes.
I know this video is pretty old, but here's a HUGE tip for suspicious cracks. The crack can be opened by any cave in - not just the one caused next to it. So what I do is find the nearest pillar, cave it in and then book it to the nearest crack!
BLESS YOUR SOUL. I NEEDED THIS SO BADLY For the first time I actually got to the second island! However, I'm at day 21 and I kind of waited too long and I didn't plant any nettles so... ^^'
Good vid! But it's not that easy to get that "BFB spawner", how the heck can i kite(?)/dodge that hippo? I thought they were like beefalos. Bad, bad mistake...
You are adorable. You are a pleasure to look at. You are funny. You are brilliant. You are very helpful. You make enjoyable videos and guides. You are Jazzy. Thank you. :)
Remember to try and keep all the gnats that you can alive since they rebuild their nests and it’s easier to mine gnat mounds for iron than to die trying to mine an iron hulk This is a better tip for really new players who are worried about getting wrecked by the iron hulk since they will destroy you if you miss the dodge and gnats mounds are more of a calm thing to collect from
Wagstaff is my top pick for a new series once the game leaves early access. Wheeler I'm holding off with because Klei appears to be making lots of changes and rebalances.
WX is probably the best character because of the infinite overcharge from thunderbirds. Try to get the Key to the City so you can start building Oddities stores and buying up gears. Wormwood is nice too because you can grow wild crops year round and are immune to hay fever.
@@JazzysGames ok, i hope so because your style of making guides is informartive, and "calming" i mean: you know this is good and you say this is good. That sound from you made me try again don't starve. Thanks for the other hamlet season guides btw. If i have bad english, its because i'm still learning the language
The only instance I can think of that being true for me is if I just wanted the city key and hammer from Hamlet for megabasing in another DLC. If I plan to spend more than 60 days in Hamlet I will want to stop the Aporkalypse at least once.
So...does that area where you put your drying racks and alchemy machine and all your crap basically become your base, or is it more of a temporary base? I'm asking because I always thought the Slanty Shanty would be better for that.
It could possibly. The purpose of a central camp is primarily to get situated, grow nettles, and have easy access to the other islands. You could always base at the shanty in town but once you get the key to city you can make a shanty anywhere.
Lol I pretty much ignored it. The guide was made in Early Access and Robin was really annoying to hatch. His growth cycle would reset every time he got picked up so yeah.
I got extremely owned by rng. Picked every lotus flower on my island and only 1 platipine spawned, and I only got 2 quills. I had to buy the slanty shanty just to save myself from the rain and fog on day 11 but now I'm holed up in my house with no rain protection. The temperate season is too short by default imo.
But if you worldhop the day count goes back to 1. Or are you talking about linking worlds? If I were going to start in another world then link to Hamlet, I'd probably worldhop back to Day 1 before linking to give the most time to locate the Aporkalypse calendar. Just make a Particulate Purifier and a bunch of coffee in SW and blast through the poisonous biome!
Me starting to play this: hmm okay yeah this is hard maybe I should look for tips *finds this* Oh I'm playing it wrong 😭 *tries this* *sucks even worse at it* 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Lmao thank you for this though! It was really helpful

That's unusual. I typically get one every 1-4 flowers picked. The main reason I rush the nest is to get the gems early on to start working on a smelter and sprinkler. If you're able to acquire them via ruins diving, by all means go for it. Very curious why you aren't getting any...
Being new to Hamlet and watching this guide without pausing reminds me of how I felt in College Algebra class

I agree! It took me several days just for 1 of his objectives lol Really informative!
Reign of the giants: you can chill pretty much
Shipwrecked: oh-uh watch out for the poisen!
Hamlet: STOP THE APOCALYPSE!!!!
Nah m8, what will fuck you up isnt the poison, but rather forest fires and sealnado. Also monsoon is way harder
Never thought that Hamlet would be that difficult. And I paid 7 bucks for that crap? I should've saved it for Minecraft rather. :(

I struggled with Hamlet for a much longer time than SW. If you want a more casual DLC then Hamlet is probably not your first choice.
@@JazzysGames True, Reign of Giants is the best for begginers.
How the hell did he do many things in 11 days!? I set my temperate season to very long so I have no time worries
Set goals and priorities. Even if you don't make them all, just having them always in the back of your head will make for more efficient gameplay.
