Was there a gun swap or did you mean 100mm, are you sure not t55 because if it’s 105mm it could be a captured Syrian tank which then isreal swap the 100mm for a 105
It essentially is a Soviet tank. The Chinese bought, borrowed, stole and reverse-engineered everything from the Soviets/Russians (and everyone else actually).

The type 59 and type 69 are chinese copies of the soviet t54/t55 with minor differences
Before the type 59 and type 69 the main stay of the Chinese tank force was old t-34-85 and is-2 tanks originally used in ww2
