The ink fanthom can compete. Yes, it does not forbid you to land more than one hit before escaping, and its laser has longer windup, but it is so thick and tracks so hard that it's nigh impossible to close distance without taking it in the face.
Worst part is they take stupid amount of hits to kill and you only get one. And then it teleports behind a wall. Just pure tedium to clear them out and you can't really ignore them or they snipe you to death.
I figured them out. The first one is harder since it has maybe 4 spawn points, but very near each other. The second and third is a little easier. They tend to teletransport to only two places. First you see where these two places are. Secondly you hide from its attack and when it release the laser for the second time you go to the second place (before it respawn, they don't laser you a third time) and attack. It will teletransport to the first place so you hide again. Do it till it is dead. Also if hide under the rock plataforms -------- its two spawn points will be really near you, even easier.
That enemy is what brought me to this video. Absolutely the worst and their hit range is so wide on the beam it’s impossible to dodge when you are trying to drop from a platform.
There are several I hated more. 1)the lightning-shooting ghost in the convent 2)the lion-headed anchor throwers in the shipwreck area 3)Homing magic women also in the bottom area
Yes - sorry just discovered Blasphemous and I had to take a break from that damn area with the Anchor throwers and women tied to a mast? that shoot those orbs - how much damn health do they have??
That's a red gold hemmed loin cloth. Fun fact, the bronze bull had tubes going from the casket to the nose so that the dying peoples screams sounded like moos. No I don't know why they designed it like that I think Nero liked it is all. Edit: _that's not what tithing is for._
Well, the Brazen Bull enemy design is actually not only based on a torture method. If you look closely you can see the the weapon used by this enemy is called a "rejones de castigo" (lance of punishment). It's used by bullfighters in Spain to injure / kill bulls so there is an irony of a bull-headed enemy using a weapon that is meant for punishing bulls. Also their agile nature is reminiscent of how actual bullfighters need to be in order to survive. Since this game is based on themes of self punishment for sins and Spanish culture, it kinda makes sense.
1) Originally called the Condemned 2) Sagittal Martyrs, coolest looking enemy in game, even if butt-naked 3) Lamest looking enemy in game, would've been better as a type of warlock of some kind 4) Wrecking ball nuns, would've been nice for an execution on this foe 5) Based off of death masks according to some sources 6) Originally called Processioner, one of the other coolest looking enemies and actually had a cage full of arms carrying candles in it's first design (wish that was kept in) 7) Always thought the Brazen Bull was conceived as like a reversed-bullfighter enemy 8) Also called Restless Bones, one of the few other enemies with a more inhuman appearance 9) Actually is a "she", which is why I kinda find it cute when she's holding her skirt down during a landing. 10) Supposedly, these guys prayed so hard that they broke their backs and are stuck in leap-frog mode
the rapier ghosts are the stuff of nightmares, fuck the miracle for making them I hate enemies that don't even exist until they pop out of nowhere with no warning, then do a shedload of damage
To the first enemies, the wraiths with the bells that float. You should bait them, face them, and just continously slash upward. Just upward. The angles it comes at you from wil be caught in the upslash, no matter what. It'll never touch you...
I would probably put Ghastly Baroness on the list. When I first met these in the Convent, I died SO many times before I figured out (i.e. read online) how to best them.
@@panagiotispotamitis9872 If you stay in the same general area, they will only teleport between two set locations. Pick a place where it's easy to run between those two locations and hit them before they shoot
@@panagiotispotamitis9872 Sometimes you don't even have to run between teleports. For example, one Baroness spawns in the room to the left of the Prie Dieu in the Convent. If you run fast enough, you can dodge the lasers and get to the small wooden platform in the bottom right. From there you can just stand on the right side of the platform facing right and spam attack: she will teleport above and to the right of you, but the generic attack's hitbox extends upwards a bit, making it able to hit her in both locations while you stand in one place.
@@r3qu0 thanks man After a while I noticed that and the baroness right after her does something similar. Still, I hoped for some way to maybe avoid all the hustle of playing whack a mole with a floating wax effigy. Guess pain is the way of the Penitent. Still though, thanks for the reply.
throwing the books literally ticked me off. why throw books? what are they trying to say?? books are dangerous?? lol. oh and helping miriam!!!! that pissed me off!!!!!
The best thing about Blasphemous is that even if at first an enemy or boss gives you insane trouble, the mechanics of combat are so well made that eventually, whether it's an hour or five later, you WILL find a comfortable way to dispatch/avoid them. Amanecidas and NG+ Sierpes are absolutely bullshit though.
The first time I played this game I didnt know anything about the lore, so I was so much WTF about some enemies. Like the crucified girl and how much power she have or the hooper and how much they can jump. I was thinking the enemies were some kind of crazy fanatics but that is insane. Later when I understand and I see most of this ppl where transform into monsters by the Miracle. like the apostles from the manga Berserk or like undeads.
The best strategy versus the bell fuckers (the ghosts you mention first) is to spam the grounded upward sword swing and stay in place. That move has such a big ass hitbox you'll never get hit no matter where the ghosts charge you from.
1:52 i know im 3 years late but if u jsut constantly swing up u will kill them even if they ram because the swing up has a hit box that wraps around your whole body
I fucking hate the white flying ghost shooting beam at my face when I try to get through. It just appear and teleport to other location to shoot me. It teleport every 3 shot or it got 1 strike and deal shitload of damage when you first explore that place and every time I die in that room, I die inside a little bit
Dracula and his bell tower can go play with the traffic those enemies run Riot all over that section so much rage I've lost countless lives on them and the knock back mechanic lol
As someone who has more than 200+ hours in blasphemous and has played ascended and beat isidora twice, the ones throwing the fucking shuriken and book are the most rage inducing enemies ive met
Upgrade the projectile attack. Makes a lot of these enemies a lot easier to deal with, especially when you weaken them with it first, and then go in for a lunge attack.
Amarguras means bitterness in Spanish if you wanted to know 😊 It's pronunciation isn't difficult and we won't judge I promise! Great video I didn't know this game love the asthetic
That wax lazer ghost piss me off the most. I have no idea how many times I had to run all the way back to the floor just below the boss room from the shrine because of that bastard😊❤
Picked up the game this week and I cannot described how much I hate the phantom ladies that charge toward you with a knife. So much range, so little time to hit her and so many hp for a ghost. I hate them.
this video is painfully accurate I like to call the flaming ass chariot "yo momma", for some reason that's the first thing that came to my mind when I saw that fucker
Bell phantom mobs are actually easy. Those phantoms always try to go top of the penitant one's head. So you only have to do is press up and spam attack button.
i also got pissed off about the swinging chandeliers. the whole frekaing time i'm like i need double jump and i'm like no, "No freaking way i have to hit those chandeliers to freaking double jump.? god damn it. if you don't time it right your sword will swing up for some god damn reason making me lose my patience. i lost my patience helping Miriam!!! i just beat it today didn't unlock the great ending but i don't feel like playing it again lol.

Personally my most hated Blasphemous enemy is the insta death spike pits

It's definitely a soulslike/soulsborne when gravity kills you more than any boss.
instablaster...
😂 I love the spikes!

Yes - sorry just discovered Blasphemous and I had to take a break from that damn area with the Anchor throwers and women tied to a mast? that shoot those orbs - how much damn health do they have??
Also super tanky lightning chair women in the shipwreck area. They can snipe you from offscreen and have more health then they really should.
the shipwreck area is where you farm guilt fragment😅
Your only pissed off by 10 enemies in blasphemous? That whole game is scientifically designed to piss me off
It aint that bad
"Jesus sword" I have a new name for my cross shaped sword

Here in some parts of Spain we call them "banderillas de torero" because if you look for "banderillas" you get a dish
1) Originally called the Condemned
2) Sagittal Martyrs, coolest looking enemy in game, even if butt-naked
3) Lamest looking enemy in game, would've been better as a type of warlock of some kind
4) Wrecking ball nuns, would've been nice for an execution on this foe
5) Based off of death masks according to some sources
6) Originally called Processioner, one of the other coolest looking enemies and actually had a cage full of arms carrying candles in it's first design (wish that was kept in)
7) Always thought the Brazen Bull was conceived as like a reversed-bullfighter enemy
8) Also called Restless Bones, one of the few other enemies with a more inhuman appearance
9) Actually is a "she", which is why I kinda find it cute when she's holding her skirt down during a landing.
10) Supposedly, these guys prayed so hard that they broke their backs and are stuck in leap-frog mode
The nuns do have an execution state. The penitent one disembowels them and chops their head off I believe.
The wrecking ball nuns has an executive now
The Dirt Divers triggered my Dirt Carver PTSD from Hollow Knight. The level of paranoia is unparalleled.
Jondo and the Nun area basically were my White Palace PTSD.
On snowy map, there is frozen soldier with tomb on his back. That enemy literally keeps striking down without giving any chance to stand up.
You have to use your charged attack
He’s tough but if you aren’t too greedy he’s not a big deal. He’s a problem when there are the floating guys hanging around though.
Who also loves the way this guy talks
Wish I had his voice too
Ruhua Pan yeah I found him from hollow knight too and btw hollow knight is the best game I beat this year💯💯
I would like to wear a cone on my head.
well, if you live in america be ready to be confused for a Klan member or a School Dunce
Just don't slide down a latter and you'll be fine wearing one!
The "amarguras" are actually spanish for "agonies" or "bitters"
Que? Es mas bien alguien amargo, enojado pero no tanto... Alguien gruñon, supongo
More precisely, "amargura" is spanish for "bitterness".
It it less that agonies
Somehow I kinda prefer what this youtuber calls them
The Bromas . The Joker
"about as predictable as a morning sunrise" LMAO
I don't like those wall statue things and those enemies that you can't slide through annoy me to no end!
the rapier ghosts are the stuff of nightmares, fuck the miracle for making them
I hate enemies that don't even exist until they pop out of nowhere with no warning, then do a shedload of damage
Hears Rusty definition of Hoppers, remembers of the zombie Hoppers...

Hoppers are slow af.. The Bellidos and the ghost that shoots lasers are more annoying. In fact hoppers should be like 7 or 8 on this list.
Shout out to those laser shooting ghosts as well in the convent , ghostly baroness or something fuck those enemies

The Sisters urns look like they should be soooo easy to dodge but then it's like a quick attack that you dodge just a second too late....
My worst is the sniper rifle ghost. Even a huge way through the game they take way too much health off!
The most annoying enemy in the game are those long haired things in the prison area that just scream and run straight at you
throwing the books literally ticked me off. why throw books? what are they trying to say?? books are dangerous?? lol.
oh and helping miriam!!!! that pissed me off!!!!!
When he came to the hoppers I started crying for his discription I laughed so hard I thought I was going to die
I found out that if you spam upward attack those ghosts with bells can't do shit to you
I would've put Martyrs at a higher spot. I died more times to them in Jondo than any enemy in any area.
2:17
"Shish-kabobbin' you with my JESUS SWORD."
It gets me every fucking time! He literally called the Mea Culpa: Jesus Sword! AHAHAHAHAHAHA XD
I hate the Visage Sisters’ urn can hit you when they pull it back to them. That’s so ANNOYING.

The "hoppers" are just flea men from the Castlevania games.
Dracula and his bell tower can go play with the traffic those enemies run Riot all over that section so much rage I've lost countless lives on them and the knock back mechanic lol
Fleamen are more annoying, and the hunchback on the first Castlevania NES is probably the worst kind of "hopper" in any metroidvania game

You forgot the Croc and the grandma sitting on the chair 😂😂
As someone who has more than 200+ hours in blasphemous and has played ascended and beat isidora twice, the ones throwing the fucking shuriken and book are the most rage inducing enemies ive met
The hoppers are a way less anoying version of the hunchbacks from Castlevania '87, put that into perspective.
Hoppers are nowhere near as frustrating as the OG Castlevania Hunchbacks from which they were inspired.
The hoppers are a huge pain if you're in the Bleeding Heart Penance. That's all I have to say.

Upgrade the projectile attack. Makes a lot of these enemies a lot easier to deal with, especially when you weaken them with it first, and then go in for a lunge attack.
I'm a simple man. Rusty posts a video, I click. Love your content man!
For some reason brazen bull is also called phalaris when I looked this word up it meant grass so these enemies are called grass
It's cause Phalaris was the name of a dude in ancient Greece who was famous for using the brazen bull
@@mekhorr4943 but why was his name grass
Idk... poor taste?
