I also felt slightly annoyed by the lyrics in the song. I honestly could've vibed with the song, but the lack of self-accountability left a sour taste in my mouth. She could've just ignored the drama and not talked about it at all, even that would've been more palatable, but, alas. 🙄 Out of touch is the perfect way to describe it, because she talks about a boy putting on makeup in the song and owning his style, which makes me feel as though she's equating the very real struggle of being a boy who's interested in makeup (clearly meant to speak to members of the queer community), to the completely self-inflicted drama that comes from being a homewrecker. It's tone-deaf at best, and insidious at worst. Just, major ick. I wish she'd just... learn to validate herself in a way that isn't at the expense of other women.
TL;DR This song is not very fetch of her.

Can you elaborate? I’m genuinely confused. It seems the wife said they didn’t do anything no wrong but she does believe Ariana grandes close proximity to SpongeBob during wicked did contribute to their marriage breaking up.

Whether the allegations were proven false or not (which i honestly think is just page six backtracking like cowards after the release of her single) they're both still f'd up for what they did. Cheating or not, they both left their MARRIAGES and families behind for each other which definitely means that they had to have been feeling each other before they both divorced their partners. Ethan left his whole ass child and lover for 10 years for Ari who will most certainly leave him. They are both foul for that no matter which way her fans try to spin it. If Ariana was actually a girls girl, she would've left that woman's man alone no matter what feelings she had for him (considering she already had a man of her own as well😒). You can't just break up a family and your own family on a whim just because you feel like it. Whatever happened to committed relationships and faithfulness? That all goes away just cause you meet someone who you think is slightly cute? Still trash of her and she clearly shows no remorse in the song. I'm definitely still side eyeing her.

@@lifeofthannerpeace5056you Can think that. however, I think the timing of them backtracking their authoritative statements just days after the single drops is very shady. Either way Lily Jay did say what she said and I have not found a statement that doesn’t say “ supposedly she regrets blah blah” everything is speculated outside of Lily’s words to page six, which is what has hold the most weight in the entire conversation.

To defend her: Imo the beginning ("Oh my god, did she really do that? I read it on the internet so it MUST be true.") it shows that it might be false allegations -- I think she is getting mad and petty back at the haters who assume the details of the story. That is the vibe I get. She felt she didn't she need an explanation. Most people don't even know what is going on in others' personal lives, even when they post on social media... so much can be going on behind the scenes that people don't talk about. Ari shouldn't feel forced to talk about it just because she is famous. I think she's just been going through things silently on her own. She is still a human who is trying to see things right.
But yeah I still have some ick about it
I don't like the lyric, ("Why do you care so much...?"), I would say "out of touch" because we care as a society about secure homes so if we are getting wild it is because of that. It can hurt a lot of people. That just makes sense. She has to know she has a cultural influence.
It's just not enough info for me to judge Ari that she necessarily was the person who "stole" ethan or made the move first.. before I hear the album and seriously see something happening. It's all just been word of mouth. Page Six took back what they said so I'm not sure what really happened.
So far, I'm suspicious and think they probably liked each other on set which sucks (but happens to like everyone but with self control it matters), but I am not sure cheating made them actually separate. Maybe Ethan realized he actually wasn't meant to be with Lilly, and made a big mistake. We just don't know imo.
I wish she could have at least waited longer... but I guess Ari wanted to keep the attraction there, rather than just staying separate for the sake of public opinion & letting her connection with Ethan go.
I'm not entirely sure how to defend her either, I just want to hear Eternal Sunshine already & figure this out.

Without even taking account the tabloids, just looking at how both of their official separation and divorce statements are around the same time is enough to side eye. And at least two exes of her boyfriends have implied she was a homewrecker. The past ten years of relationships don’t frame her well, it’s not just the tabloids

this reminds me of the doja drama, also lily jay said herself that her and ethan split up and ari had nothing to do with that, calling someone a homewrecker because a spongbob looking mf decided to play w her is not okay. if im being honest its ethan we should be hating because he left his family for a girl he knew was trying to heal from her divorce,
maybe before talking crap on the internet read a little bit and inform yourself because all those allegations have been proven false by ethan’s wife. both of them were separated from their respective partners months before engaging in their relationship, and also who tf cares?
