Hi Colin. Thanks for this review. As a newbie, I decided to get the I9 Max as starter drone. For my needs, it does pretty much exactly what I need. My only issue is that I can't seem to record photos or video onto SD card. I know that you mentioned having a similar issue and I was wondering how you resolved it. Grateful for any info.
Thanks for the great review. Would you know if the auto follow function works as it was part of the advertised product features when I purchased it. I am a novice drone user and I cant seem to figure this out

It is. The footage I had was from the sd card, but either it didn’t record or the capacity shown on the card was incorrect as it filled up very quickly
As my hidden comment says, this drone is half the price of a dji mini 2, costs ~£140 with 2 batteries delivered from aliexpress, if it loses connection to the controller it returns to the RTH point and the camera quality is acceptable, nobody is expecting mini 3 pro quality video for 1/8th the cost! 🤦🏻♂️
Like I said I’m not comparing to the mini 3, but more a second hand mini 1 or even something like a spark. The video quality is awful and wouldn’t even compare to any of those drones. As for the RTH I couldn’t get it to work when the signal was lost. It just lands. I guess the price has changed since my review
I'm sure there has been an update.. Flightelf states it has a RTH feature and a failsafe RTH?

I never really got to the bottom of that. I’d assumed it might have been the SD card supplied with the drone. Have you tried another type?

This is the same as the C-fly mini2 except C-fly uses different app and has flow sensors and works much better

Can you pair it through Wi-Fi without using the connector cable?
Not in my experience, although I didn’t try it that way either
@@Firefly_UAV I use iPhones and I lost my micro to lightning cable for my i9 max remote. Do you know where I can get the new cable?
You could try contacting the company you bought it from, or buy a micro usb to lightning cable

Odd to critique the image and not even connect your phone to it or insert an SD card.

How do you mean?
The whole video is mastered rather dark, not much of an issue but means mobile users cannot view it outside.
