Fun story, I grew up in 4th Ward Houston. I was in Kindergarten at Wharton Elementary when filming wrapped up. Cool, thanks!! We've actually had a couple of requests for that one, so it seems like we need to watch it. Plus, viewers are constantly saying that Keith looks like Dolph Lundgren, lol!

Very cool video, thanks for the tour. I could never figure out if they used the Jefferson David Hospital on elder street where you guys went or if they actually used the other location on Allen parkway that was demolished some years back.
Thanks for watching! We were a bit confused about that as well. From our research, we believe they used the old hospital on Elder St. (which was abandoned at the time) and probably also the taller building behind it (that's now gone) which is visible in the scene where they drive into the old ambulance bay with Duffy. Hope this helps!
@@Our80sLifeI know it’s a delayed response, but could you guys confirm if in fact if the scene where Hob shooting Robocop in the helmet and mocks him filmed inside Jefferson Davis?
While Robocop 2 wasn't as good as the first one it still had a lot of passion when they made it. :) I think that's what's most important is that the film crew had an amazing time making it. Thank you so much for another amazing video! :D
Awesome video! Don't know if you guys are based in Texas but the interior shots of the the old man's office that the mayor goes to visit was shot in the lobby of 1600 Smith in downtown. Not sure what the building is called, google maps has it listed as Chevron credit union. The hallway to the escalators was also filmed inside the lobby.
Wow!! Thank you so much! That location was really bugging us, and there's plenty of information online that's inaccurate. I think you nailed it! We're originally from Texas (Dallas area) but we currently live in Wichita, Kansas. We filmed this video while on vacation in Houston back in September of last year. Anyway, thanks for helping us solve that mystery! Next time we're in the area, we'll definitely check it out.
I’m currently working in downtown Houston and looking at the Alley Theatre. Cool to know that one of my favorite movies was shot just a few hundred feet from where I am now
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed our video! 😊 Yes, the movie was released in 1990, filmed in the fall of 1989 - January 1990, so right on the cusp of the new decade. Not a Robocop fan but I LOVE the 2nd film because it was directed by Irvin Kershner who was a wonderful director and he didn't disappoint. There is much of interest about this film. The warehouse scene is awesome. The showdown between Robocop & the mechanical monster is as epic as the showdown between Luke Skywalker & Darth Vader from TESB (which Kershner directed). Excellent performances by everyone. Tom Noonan in particular is having a good time. Great score by Leonard Rosenman... Enjoy the filming locations tour. It's a pity though, they didn't film any scenes in Detroit where the film is supposed to be taking place. Lots of great filming locations in Detroit.
Totally agree! Thanks for stopping by our channel and sharing your thoughts about RoboCop 2. It's rare that a sequel is equally as good (or arguably better) than the original, but this one was excellent!
