Julia, THIS device looks like a GAME CHANGER for me! I too had a hand held device that was torture to use so I purchased a big, heavy, & clunky device. It worked well but just heavy & cumbersome to use. I use metal as well as plastic snaps. Since I am getting older I prefer something smaller and easier to use. Thank you for enlightening some of us older sewers / crafters.
This gadget is super. Thank you for making this video. I dont care if it is an ad. I get informed thru ads. Some gadgwts I would never get to know withour ads.
Will need to look into this one and its availability in the US. Anything that can make snaps or rivets easier will help. I avoid them because of my hands. I wish that I had a large dedicated room for my sewing.
Thank you for the comment - it’s a fair point🙂 I tried to make an overview of what a press is and how it can be used. Before getting a press myself, I didn’t know it can handle so many different tasks - I would have definitely gotten it for my sewing space much sooner!😁 I hope you’re enjoying your Prym tool as much as I am mine!🤗
I've done numerous searches and I can't find the dies and snaps, etc you mention that go with this press (I'm in the UK). Am I correct in thinking all the eyelets, snaps, etc, that can be used with the pliers are compatible with this press?
There seem to be many colours to choose from -does this suggest the models have different capabilities or applications. Which would be best for general sewing?
The tool itself comes in different colors, but functions/performance is the same. I think it’s great - we rarely ever have sewing tools available in variety of colors, so it’s nice to have options to choose from🤗
From my experience with different tools in the past, I’d say that Prym really stands out in how easy it is to work with it: it’s easy to match correct punching/setting tool with right size accessory; every toolset and every accessory comes with very clear and easy to understand instructions; there’s a wide range of compatible accessories for different projects. Details like this has made working with this tool so so much easier👍
(Linda) Love the in depth explanation and will surely buy this tool; it helped me make a decision. *****Please continue as you are and don't mine other people's criticism, You are perfect just the way you are***** (Thank you @alleykatt6110 well responded!!! ) Julija, i visit other sites and they mention that they remove the negative comments - it doesn't have its place here: so go ahead and do it as well (coming from a 64yr old 😉)
I see that the neg. one was taken off. Good. It only took me her saying it twice to figure out she was saying plyers LOL. I love listening to different accents. Juilija does a great job on her english.
I can’t do snaps, eyelets , or rivets with pliers or hammer. My hand strength & endurance is so bad. I fell many years ago and broke my hand & lower arm in 8 different places. I’ll be saving my money to get one of these devices out of necessity.

Wow this looks like an excellent tool! Great video!
This seems to be a wonderful addition to sewing accessories! Your explanation is excellent!
It’s truly a very practical addition - I’ve been using it in even more projects than I expected🤗

A press definitely makes it super easy on the hands👍 My sewing space is very small, but a press is one of those tools that find its place in it🤗
A review includes pros and cons. This looks like a detailed advertisement, although I am using Prym too :)

I just bought the little iron from Prym just last week because i saw it on a YT presentation.
I’ve been eyeing little iron for a while, too!😁
Can you use rivets, eyelets etc that aren’t Prym products?
What countries can you buy the new coloured rivets?
this looks fabulous! i would love to purchase this. is it sold in the US??

Yes, all Prym dies and snaps that work with pliers, also are compatible with the press🤗

I really needed this!! Was looking into these things some days ago. But couldnt decide.
Can you tell me what the difference is with kam snaps?
