- The world of esports is a fluid one -- teams rise and fall, orgs get bought and sold, players come and go.
But in the midst of the chaos, there are a few standout names that remain as solid and steadfast as the sky above our heads -- who, no matter what’s happening around them, remain right as rain.
Håvard "rain" Nygaard is exactly that type of player. The Norwegian FPS monster has been a fixture of competitive CS:GO since the game’s release.
But rain hasn’t simply remained faithful to the game -- as FaZe Clan’s CS:GO team’s longest-lasting member, he has become a pillar of a lineup that has gone through multiple ownership and roster changes over the years.
And in the eye of that storm, rain has been indelible, inexorable, and inevitable.
This is the Story of rain.

@@andjey96 I think it’s just about how he plays. He never plays BAD. It’s just that one map he is dropping 20+ and other times he just does his job. I think that’s why he is called streaky. But yes I love rain. Imo need to replace Olof

As faze banks said he didn't care about g2's roster except rain he only thought that the roster would worth double than what he paid for in a few years so he had to buy it quickly, none of the original players were meant to stay only rain was
@@Jammert If Guardian wasn't injured back at the major FaZe would have dominanted at least for a year. They were by far the best team and Cloud9 only won by a thight margin even with one of their best players wasn't playing to his potential by far.

Finally! I used to like Faze clan for Niko only to find out Rain was the real reason I liked to watch Faze clan play. Such a god with pistols. Don't get me wrong Niko is still the eternal mvp but Rain will always be the eternal entry player for me. I hope he wins a Major.

The most underappreciated player in FaZe. We talk about Niko, Olof, and Guardian, but this guy was also relevant.
He was more than relevant. He was better and more consistent than Olof, Guardian and Twistzz during their time in Faze. Second only to NiKo.

Rain was always my most favourite player, dont really know why. Perhaps it's his calmness, positive energy and his skill with deagle is insane. Love to see, that he gets at least some recognition. Let's go FaZe!
