It's certainly become a scary situation. I think what has happened is we have entered that never ending cycle of everyone pointing at everyone else. Cops see the defund police movement and the fact they are blamed for everything so the good cops retire etc and are replaced with people who are punching a clock. The people see cops who don't give a rats backside about them and are often little tyrants using their position to get off. So it just goes back and forth and gets worse every year.

@@Daniel-bm4cv I second this. My grandfather is probably rolling in his grave as the law enforcement of today makes a mockery of what he held dear. I have his sidearm, cuffs, badge etc right here and remember what he dedicated his life to, until he was hurt by a perp and had to retire.
I haven't even had many bad experiences with cops, but even just getting pulled over a couple times told me that much.

I am a seventh generation police officer. I have asked my daughter not to become a police officer. Lucky for me my kid is smart and sees what is being done to police officers and says there is no way she would ever become a cop. Regrettably she would make an excellent officer.
But do you see what police offers do to innocent people daily across America? I’m not anti cop, but over the years they have made me not trust them one bit. Most cops these days are nothing more than road pirates, and enforcers of unconstitutional laws for their political masters. It’s sad…
