Tom, I’ve had my 6 yrs old black GSD saved our @$$ while we were hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains. While hiking a blk bear cub came across our trail and out of nowhere Momma bear came charging. Our GSD chased her off about 50 yards than came right back. He was on high alert the whole hike back out constantly checking to make sure we were all together. They’ll lay their lives down for you. Congrats on the new addition to your family!
It gets said soo often it loses it's impact but dogs truly are man's best friend.

I've seen companies like this before, their dogs are amazing, bred for the perfect temperament, raised with families, they put 1000s of man hours into them

I had a GSD aswell, pro most well rounded dogs in the dog world, Very inteligent, easy to train, very loyal, very strong, very protective, not many dogs are so highly rated in all of those fields
Wow he's incredible. The activities that were done to train him are clearly well suited to creating a dog who CAN protect but isn't inherently aggressive or confused.

Good idea Tom, to have a dog like that when you're away - knowing you have an amazing dog like Olympus to keep the family safe.
There's something magical about a well-trained dog, whether it be a guard dog like this or a collie as a sheep dog. Many breeds thrive on it. That pack structure is so needed, when there's no hierarchy, no clear leader, they can get quite anxious and it's not good for anyone involved.
These working line shepherds are smaller but much healthier and incredible family protection dogs. Seems to be the favoured breed amongst people that focus in this area. Great choice Tom.

Tom Aspinal, heavy weight champion of the world. Baddest man on the planet and with a trained Alsatian is a serious combination. Hopefully that dog doesn’t ever have to get in to any situations though, dogs are the most loyal best friend you’ll ever have. I can’t imagine putting my dog before myself in harms way. I’d rather grab a crowbar and take my chances if I have unwanted visitors in the night.

Great work Tom. Even if you don’t need the dog for protection per se, GSDs need that kind of work (protection, agility, man trailing etc.). Great obedience training as well.

We took care of a Belgian malnois 2 years ago, and he was 2 months old
It’s mental how naturally they are born to protect and hunt crime ( it was a police dog )
It has aggressive traits but was very very loving at time,
Sadly we were told to force him off the lead, we said he wasn’t ready but the police said we had too
We let him off the lead and he heard cars and the poor thing ran straight for them and got hit and died on the spot
Police dogs and protection dogs are so under appreciated in the world
