- You know I'm a lip girlie but lip oils might be my favourite! I think I've tried almost every lip oil on the market. What takes the cake every time is Haus Labs! It has a great formula that's not sticky, it last pretty long throughout the day, but I always reapply! It also has a slight tint depending on which shade you pick up, and I love the chubby applicator.

@@lisasmith8484 a lip oil is never gonna be extremely pigmented, it's not supposed to be. but it's also not supposed to be invisible. the Haus labs one showed up and looked gorgeous, if you want more pigment a lip oil isn't gonna give you better results, you should spring for a gloss instead.

It's not supposed to be pigmented 😂😂 Just a slight tint. What I love is the shine and hydration that it gives. My lips look more hydrated and juicier lol
Yeah, it only gave a tiny bit more tint than the first one.
I think it's because the lip oil in the package looked super dark!

I do have all the Gaia labs but it did give the same color as the merit… at least on screen. I do like the NYX fat oil they definitely have more color in it so those are my new favs❤❤❤

guys i recommend vaseline (dont get the stick tho its a scam) and nivea (dont get the coloured ones) for lip balms and laniege lip sleeping masks for overnight but if you can't afford the laneige the lip balms are okay for overnight too!! as a lip product collector these are honestly the best i've ever tried and i can't live without them ❤❤

So what exactly does a lip oil do? Is it like lip gloss or a moisturizer?
Should of compared similar colors because the way that "dark" showed up it seems a lighter one would give the same "nothing" as the first gloss she tried.

You can tell the second one has more color and shine. It doesn’t match the color in the bottle because most lip oils don’t.

The second one gave her a tint, which is what a lip oil usually does unless it’s clear (obv) but the first gave her nothing and it should’ve given her a bit of color since it wasn’t supposed to be clear but that’s what showed up
Not just you, only thing going for the second is that it was very dark. And still very very light. If she had picked the same color oil on both brands and showed a difference, then I would agree. But no they’re both what they are, oils 🤷🏻♀️

For lip oils personally, this is the best. For other products like cream bronzers, I feel like there is more than one! I think that's why it's a little trickier!

I have a question.. would it have made a difference if you swiped both shades equally? I’m just curious bc the first lip oil you only applied one layer and the Haus Labs you swiped multiple times. That first lip oil color looked stunning so I’m just wondering if the number of coats make a difference.

You need to watch it again, closely. She swiped multiple times to the bottom lip, dipped and swiped multiple times for the top lip. For both oils. One could say even less for HL since it got cut off.
No she swiped that first one a lot it just gave NOTHING so you couldn’t tell she only needed to swip the second one not as many
@@ramzishaw7440nope, her review was honestly innacurate and shitted on an otherwise great product. the shade slick geleé is quite literally advertised as a sheer wash of color that blooms in over time, meaning you have to wait- its one of those ph reactant lip oils, but with a unique base color.

i have the haus labs one and the pink color is rlly nice and it gets more pigmented the longer it’s on the lips and it feels amazing
the merit doesnt seem like it does much at first, but from what ive noticed, with repeated use your lips do get softer and feel hydrated
Haus labs feels really nice and moisturizing like a good balm or Glow Recipe while still giving a nice tint and plumpy look I just bought one a couple months ago and wear it everyday now lol
I see when you out it you hardly dt even touch lips at the bottom I thing your bought with this other lip oil I could what you doing

Merit and haus labs are literally the same, Haus has little more pigment because of the shade , but makes no sense that you don’t like merit and love haus.

I think the amount of shine was diff, haus was way more shiny but I do think that the applicator of each product might be the reason for that ( how much the applicator can carry and apply to the lips, the haus one was way more hugging to the lips)
The first one looked way cheaper and more dull looked like nothing was even on her lips

@@ramzishaw7440the thing is, merit's shade slick geleé has blooming pigments, meaning its one of those ph reactant lip oils, except with a unique base color. what this means is that you gotta wait for the color to show up, which is.. not what she did.
Merit is my favourite lip oil, but I haven’t tried maraschino.
I have the dark brown one and marrakesh. Both beautiful and pigmented .
This is the gelee formula not original
@@GLAMZILLA I like the gelee formula! It adapts to ph level and only got more pink the longer I wore it, and the formula is perfection, not sticky at all

I think merit has two different lip oils, one that’s sheer and one that’s tinted. I have the tinted shade in Sangria and it’s literally my favorite! It’s smooth, moisturizing, and it gives me a deep, wine color with great pigment.
AGREED! Such a rip off... It stayed on my lips for maybe 20 minutes. Did absolutely nothing for me.
Idk, I don't like the formula, the applicator, really just anything. It was not giving sadly..
The merit lip oils are literally my favorite. They are so good, don’t let this girl fool you, go try them and get your own opinion about them.

This applies for everything though. We all don’t like and dislike the same things. Just because something works for one person, doesn’t mean it’s gonna work for the next. You just go and watch certain people you want to get recommendations from. That’s all. If you think she fools individuals that’s on you staying and watching. I didnt see her add a link or anything to fool anyone. She gets nothing from recommending one over the other.
Crystal Kerstal I think you may have read deeper into this comment than you should have… I’m 100% sure when the original commenter said “don’t let her fool you” they didn’t mean the creator of the video was being deceitful or something… a lot of viewers value beauty influencers opinions so they’re encouraging people who are reading the comments to maybe give it a try for themselves because as you said, what works for one may not work for the other. Because clearly the commenter had a good experience with the oil, as well as hundreds of others based on reviews online and they gave their feedback as well. So the “that’s on you staying and watching” is unnecessary and completely changed the tone of your comment…
@@crystalkerstal let’s also not be fooled, when you watch reviews on a product you never tried and the person is saying something bad, you are going to be compelled to believe that the product is bad (especially on expensive makeup) so why bother spending the money? I’m just here giving my own personal opinion, just like everyone else.

Mehhhhhh Haus Labs lip oil isn’t that great…. It’s aight… none of the lip oils on the market are really lip oils, just mini gloss.. if you want something nourishing and worth the price… THE GIVENCHY LIQUID BALM IS HITTING ON ANOTHER LEVEL!! GIVENCHY to me has always had the lip game on lick and lock ! Best gloss and balms I’ve ever had!

The best tinted lip oil has definitely got to be the ones from Nooni! Its a Korean brand and it literally stains your lips so beautifully and SO nourishing!!

Don't get me wrong that one is REALLY good, and has more shades but I still choose Haus over it
I think for the Merit oil she was using a dry applicator or just pretending to put it on. I have that lip oil and, even if the color is subtle (which is the case for all the lip oils), it is NOT what she's showing here. It's much better.
You could see a very pretty pink in the first lip oil. Natural pink. I think You’re Maybe like my cousin that likes a more obvious color .

I couldn’t stand the haus labs lip oil-
1. no smell which was just a bit weird to me, could be personal preference but I like them to have a nice scent.
2. The packaging was giving me “ulta” vibes. Not a fan.
3. The color I got was a bit purple-pink and may look better on someone else. Not for meeee
I have Haus Labs makeup! My aunt has a friend who does makeup for Hollywood actresses and she gave me some for Christmas this year! I got some from her last year too and I was thrilled when I learned that it was Lady Gaga brand 😂😊

Excuse me..I have a merit lip oil and it’s so pigmented! You just have to wait a few minutes before the color really shows! And, if u wait for it to dry, it kinda becomes a lip stain and it treats your lips and they become so soft!❤

I have the merit beauty lip oil, same exact one, and its an amazing lip oil with good pigment. Idk whats wrong with yours, but I assure you they're very good

I Just wanted to say that I’ve always loved your positive energy and just figured you probably choose to review products that you know you’ll like rather than ones that from experience , you could tell wouldn’t be good for you or suit you . I ended up returning my merit lip oil too that I really loved in the color taupe because getting the wand out was horrible and then it took too many dips to get the color… I don’t pay for difficulty I pay for convenience so back it went… found an almost exact color in the nyx butter gloss for $5 and I paid less for a bigger payoff… say less… 😊😊😊

Yeah, the merit lip oil is the most dry nothing lip oil I've experienced. Like immediately after using it my lips feel sry again, and no color pay off.
yea i work at sephora.. thats not merits lip oil LMFAO thats their lipglosses basically, the actually lip oils are very pigmented. i would know because i own a few. but their are the lip oils and then there are the shade slick gels

I don't think anybody realizes this but like the first one was more Matt not really shiny or glossy the second one had more gloss and color to it. all in all a kind of just depends on the texture and what people like 💁🏻♀️
