I like vivid, moving colors, that evoke empathy and certain emotions. The most important thing is to paint what makes you happy and proud. For me it’s landscapes, usually water and skies.
The most valuable pieces of advice on 'how to become a professional artist' that I have seen in the past 3 years, condensed in a few minutes. I wish I knew this before. Maybe I had to do the mistakes to really understand. Thanks Chelsea.
I think one thing to consider also is the impact of the economy on painting sales. You could be doing all the right things and your paintings could be of high quality etc, but in times of economic instability the sale of art dips. But like most things it’s a cycle and will rise again.
The economy is not unstable. The economy is very strong and many people are looking for good investments and beautiful art.
Thanks for sharing this! I finally like my art and am producing enough paintings that a website is worth the time 👀 I also feel like building a website from the ground up isn’t necessarily worth the time when there are so many services that have all the functionality built in that an artist would need, but idk
This video is a keeper.
Very grounddd information.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you! I needed this! I don't have enough inventory yet, and I've been wasting time worrying about getting a website set up and who to use for drop-shipping. I need to be cranking out some more art!
Thank you so much for this video, Chelsea 👍💖
Ugh. This is so good.
Awesome video Chelsea!
This is fantastic, such a fascinating video ☺☺
so , get good and consistent before making a website, is that it ?
Thanks Chelsea, great video, food for thought 🌈🥰💝
Sounds like good advice to me!
So, paint first and always?
Oblious, it is amazing how many people are ignorant about it.

Don’t build a website, just visit mine at this link, here! 😂
pretty much
Thanks I needed a kick up the backside. ! 🎨✅
Well… i fucked up 😂😂 (guilty because I had a website for years)
Yeah most artists dont make money. People just want to buy art that matches there furniture.
I wouldn't ever be prideful and use that to put up my artwork as I am enternally humble in that regard, but I would be confident. Those two things are not synonymous.
Sematics. You know what she means so stop with this nonsense.
Or you could try being lazy, unskilled, zero passion, .............but have a very rich parent. :)
Or the Royal Family to buy your stuff. IMO
