Nice looking herd. Awesome seeing cattle ranchers actually using horses for checks and chores! Super cool, keep up the good vids. Cheers from Manitoba 🇨🇦
AndersonCattleCo. , for sure I’d imagine the cattle/calves don’t get excited or scared when a horse trots up to them opposed to a loud ATV or truck! 👍 keep up the good vids.
Funny how even someone to run gates for the tractor makes things go waaay faster. Hope April doesn’t continue on like this mix snow and crap. Gonna burn through some straw today
Nice looking horse, but AndersonCattleCo may I ask you something? Which I don't know if I already have asked this question before or not? But sides you live in Canada, are you guys able to slaughter horses in your country.?? Just curious thanks.
yup we have a horse plant, I hauled my wives Uncles horses there last fall, and I was told that over 90% of the horses they slaughter come from the states. We don't eat horses in Canada , all the meat goes over seas .
Well I was just curious if Canada is able to slaughter horses, which I kinda thought they do, but wasn't to sure, I wish United States would slaughter horses which I know lot's of animal lovers "don't look at it, or just don't care" but we are getting overwhelming with unusable horses. Pa sides what p,o us off the most is horse meat is better for ya then just beef, but only people who look at animals for food will understand that part. But why don't you guys eat horse meat, sides you can slaughter it.??
@@randymaylowski2485 typically because it's not culturally accepted. You could if wanted but, alberta beef, canadian pork, chicken, sea food etc is the accepted norm. most of the horse packers product goes to europe or dog food
Most of my horses are 15.2-15.3 hands , anything taller than16hands are hard for me to get on, and I'm too big to ride horses smaller than 15 hands. Victoria will foal in May and then she will be bred again, I'm trying a Metallic Cat son this year. We are planning on selling a couple geldings in a special Ranch horse sale this summer.
Glad to here you have your helpers there. Awesome new horse.
Wyatt is pretty excited
Thanks for update buddy. Good to see the boys helping you.
My children are all good helpers, I'm a lucky man
Thanks for the video, the cattle are looking great and hopefully the weather will change and warm up for yal
I'm ready for nice weather
Great video
Good vid, love the horses, need them everyday.

horses make checking cows and treating calves way easier

crazy weather here too, 8 inches of snow and - 22 C last night. at least the ground is still frozen so no mud
we didn't get much snow and still have frozen mud at the top and then you break through to the wet stuff
I started giving my cows sulfur salt while they are calving and into summer. I haven't treated scours in years.
We scour guard our cows and keep them bedded and don't really have scour issues.
Nice to have help eh buddy. That cold snowy crap just got here yesterday
I'm just ready for spring
@@AndersonCattleCo ohhhh me too. This is our 3rd or 4th winter already this year hahahha
Yes it’s cool to be a cowboy and a cow man both. Stay with em boss
I sure enjoy it , even when it is chilly

@@AndersonCattleCo we had 4 born yesterday at -28 ....same thing into the calf warmer

How many horses do you own?
all together I think 13 now
@@AndersonCattleCo How tall are they and will you get anymore horses or a horse or breed any of your horses?
