  • New Audi A3 brings more tech, equipment and a higher price 👉 Full Review: www.carsales.com.au/editorial...
The Audi A3 has been available in Australia since 1997, when it was first released as a three-door hatch.
Since then the premium small car has accrued an impressive 56,000 sales across a variety of body styles and drivetrains.
Now it’s here in fourth-generation form as a five-door Sportback and four-door sedan and here we’re testing the entry-level hatch, complete with mild-hybrid assisted turbo-petrol motivation.
With it comes a substantial price hike as well as more gear. Of course, the four rings on the grille carry a lot of weight, but do they carry enough cachet to make the A3 a worthy buy? Let’s find out.

Quite surprised with the letdown the new A3 game me, honestly was expecting more, plus ambient lighting as standard for a car of this price range!

5:24 what suburb was this? I do love me a great mazda3…. and with $60k, I could probably get a very good one.

Why bother @ 50K get yourself an i30 N-line, a WRX, a 140 TSI Octavia, or a Corolla and have more fun or save a chunk of change.

I got one. It has its good points, but its not a Mercedes. Or even a Hyundai...

Love the honest review. Very underwhelming and boring. Prior gen looked better as well. So dull and cold inside. Not worth the price.
