This instructor is giving a false impression of how people actually use the techniques mae geri and oi tsuki. He is starting at a very long distance and can see it coming and is able to avoid them easily, that is fine for learning the mechanics of kokyu nage. I just hope that he doesn’t give the impression to his students that he is showing them something practical against a person trained to apply those techniques.
