there is no inside - the center of it is already filled in, it was designed for military use, one side is all toilets and the other side is showers, if you was watching the video you would have noticed that to be honest
Despite Tiioak's comment, I agree with Kpalsm. The point of a structure is its function. Yes, I can make an educated guess based on the glimpse we see while setting up the walls, but taking a moment to show a couple screenshots of the interior is intuitive. Just like a cooking video ending with the food being cut open or plated so you can see how it looks inside. It just makes sense.

I was the head electrician with the company's SFA & British Global that built over 800 of these units, They can be kitchens or laundries, or showers, they had 3 ph generators installed in many of them. We were located in Frederick, Md and Easton Md and then the contracts were sold to and moved to somewhere in Kentucky. That is when I retired and moved to the back woods of Pa.
Ok, i saw something like this years ago, but had trouble finding the original video. I have it downloaded on an external drive somewhere, just in case i'd ever want to build one for myself. (I'm a builder, not a buyer). Here's the best i could find (skip to 1:34, the first half is some guy signing?) It takes alot longer to set up, but IMHO it makes a better finished product than a modded shipping container. Not a permanent solution (I'd rather have 12" insulated walls), but really nice for camping/ crisis events. ua-cam.com/video/GHgDtMH5klw/v-deo.html

@@richardepoulinjr Im sure it read "Stackable 3 high when deployed" I would assume deployed means fully set up. Must either have manholes in roof and floor or would need an external stairs set up to access 2nd and 3rd floors
Stackable meaning locking in the ISO's to stack one container on top of an other. This is so the military can stack their camps compared to making camp wider. When a camp like this is purchased, we make stairs and cat walks that go along with the camp.
OH Geeeze I personally saw two washer machines and four GI toilets on one wall and shower stalls on the other /This unit has water and Sewer hook ups on one side and Electrical Boxes on the other A look inside give me a break / a Basic unit years back was $5,000.00 without transport to the location They are great if you could get a few of them to be rent out to tourist for the Larger National Parks and or for a Boy scout troop with deep pocket parents
They're typically used for overseas housing for troops/volunteers/contractors, and for on-site housing on remote job sites. We used similar units in Afghanistan and up in the Alaskan Brooks Range. Deep pockets doesn't even BEGIN to describe these monsters.
This is based on an Intermodal Container (aka "Shipping container"). They come in two sizes 8.5x8x20 and 8.5x8x40 (there's also a "hi-cube" version that is 9.5' tall). Based on the 40' long vesion, this unit would cover 1000 sq.ft....not bad for a portable emergency shelter.
I built hundreds of them, I may still have some photos, The kitchens had 3 ph generators, heaters and air conditioners in them. I worked for a company called British Global, But we made them in Easton, Md. USA
We make many different versions of deploying containers. And when it comes to the paint, your looking at a military container. Meaning its either Carc Green or Carc Tan.

I am surprised there is no support beneath the build out sections...maybe, that is implied that supports are placed before or afterwards. Or maybe, unneeded.
I know not of this design except what I see and have knowledge of but notice that the wall folds up indicating that it is hinged, a good hinge at any corner will be as a corner beam. The the corner is the support load transferred to the wall and the stiffness there of so it is for all tenses and purposes part of the box and the container it is connected to as a center rigid. It is quite brilliant in fact and simple as well, I like it. What to do with that space is up to you ... I think I would use it to carefully store all the rest of the house and knowing me I'd try to make it usable even in stored mode, half stored mode, add patio with roll out and variable tilt awning some tall plants solar panel, hot sun water heater built in tanks, generator, satellite, jamming electronics shield and frequency modulator generator back to 432 anything but 440 which was imposed upon us other preferable frequency and you know a good sound system for both outside and inside and a bunch more stuff that I will have in mine, this may be a good foundation depending upon costs of course, both maintenance and repairs longevity etc.
Is this even a viable company? Answering machine when you call, no email response, no prices on their website. Probably built a few, made a few videos, and posted them hoping to get an investor or two. I don't think it worked. Haven't seen even one person who's bought one to give a testimonial.

Dr Curmudgeon I'm thinking these containers could be configured for many different usages.. Perhaps as portable field hospital/ operating rooms. etc. They could probably use something like this in Thailand right now.. especially with the rains coming...as a command center... for getting those kids out of that cave. You could set up tents AROUND this more secure structure. Anyway.. lots of diff. applications.
insulation would be problematic, retaining warmth with flip flop expendables also considering harsh weather conditions. it be converted into tree decorations on another property, lets hope it be Christmas.

BERG MANUFACTURING makes housing units for the military. They also do custom builds.
What ever you want, we can make it.
We use to use these in the Australian army, very roomy inside and they stack.
Working on these units for over 6 years. Appreciate your post and thank you for your service!
We need more information: price, interior build, toilet and to get it
Take my money please except only need one toiled and shower lol

with all the swinging walls and moving parts how is it weather proofed / insulated ?

Hello good morning thank you for being beautiful thank you for being wonderful hope you have a great day. The greatness in you is beautiful
U gay
Hi there
How much $$$
Have a good day
How good does it stand up to cold weather? What's the inside look like? How much?
When it comes to weather, our units go through extreme testing out at Aberdeen testing grounds.
Good to go!
I have an emergency pop up shelter design if anyone is interested in hearing about it? Set up is very fast and very easy and its very sturdy. I even have advanced heating and cooling and cooking designs for it has well. Novartis
So, how does a person get in touch with you to find out more?
Why need to touch? Touching only ends up with no good are you not talking now?
Novartis
How much did it cost? I build a shipping container house with a 40 footer. It costed a little over 17k for materials.
stackable, ok.... where are the stairs? a illustration at least would have been nice.
Maybe their 1-800 number would give you that info?
stairs to where the basement
Stackable in the sense that the containers can be stacked closed up for storage and loading aboard cargo ships.
@@richardepoulinjr Im sure it read "Stackable 3 high when deployed" I would assume deployed means fully set up.

We saw how fast it can be opened up, but we still don't know what it is used for, or what the inside looks like!
It's a military shower/toilet block. You can see that in the video.
We need a inside view and how much and where
Yes please

These things are a pain in the arse! My unit has two of them and you better be on the most flat surface you can find to set it up!!!
On the interior of cargo doors, in the rear of the container, it comes with 4 ISO jacks to level the container....

This would be even more awesomer if it had 4 wheels and a trailer hitch
just mount it on a decent trailer
We do make a version like that!. On a Military trailer.

Yes. It is a shipping container. Very good.
That sure is a fancy shit house (brick shit house) Do you have to dig a big hole under it? You know, for the poop?
I wouldn't buy anything from anyone who can not spell "HYDRAULICS"
if they can spell hydraulics, they can also spell expensive
Its not hight should be need safe our head and hand and its where 40 degree cel. Temp and not afford AC only how i can do cool this house?
Send millions to Ukraine and if stack them on top of each other to save farmland also ext walls&roof solar collector.
