    From. Where to get the acrylic sheet? And how much it costs?

    • @DIYwithAK
      @DIYwithAK  3 роки тому +1

      Bought it from plastic shop. You can ask in the shops that make number plates for vehicles. Cost around ₹140 per sq ft.
      If you are trying this, I will advise you to use glass instead of acrylic since glass panel will be cheaper and from personal experience I have learnt that acrylic sheet will flex due to water pressure.

      Better to use glass instead of acrylic
      Because acrylic sheets will flex due to water pressure and may cause the joints to open or leak. And make sure to use Aquarium sealant instead of silicon sealant.

    Will it be cheaper to use acrylic sheet or to use glass sheets?

    • @DIYwithAK
      @DIYwithAK  4 роки тому +1

      The price of glass sheets will be little bit less. And ideally, glass would be a better option because of its hardness.
      The issue I faced with acrylic was that it flexed quite a bit in the middle due to water pressure when I filled it up.

    Sir Kya silicone ki jagah glue gun ka istemaal KR skte h
    Kya glue lagane se yeh leakage Karega

    • @DIYwithAK
      @DIYwithAK  4 роки тому

      Agar acrylic ka size chota hai toh glue gun use kar sakte. Otherwise, you need to use silicon sealant.
      You can also use resin based glue for stronger bond.

      Cleaning process difficult hai. Clean water se rinse karna padega because gap bohot kam hai. And it is advised to keep the top side of glass and pipe ends closed when not in use.

    Nice bro, I need a suggestion that I wanted to make 3x3 ft bubble wall and m bit confused that weather to use glass or acrylic ? And if I use acrylic sheet then Dr fixit silicone sealant is best suit or not because I m doubtful that silicone sealant is best for acrylic bond and for leakage ?
    Hope you will reply
    Thanks in advance 😊

      You can use either glass or acrylic.
      Glass is harder, cheaper and will not flex when water is filled. Acrylic is easier to work with but it will flex and bulge when you fill water. If you use acrylic, you need to have multiple chambers throughout to prevent the flexing. (This is a mistake I made)
      Now coming to the sealant. You need to use glass sealant with 100% silicon (used in aquarium). Dr. Fixit is not suitable as it will start leaking after some time. (I learnt this the hard way)
      You can also use some kind of secondary adhesive in combination with the sealant (like epoxy adhesive or strong tape) on the outside after silicon dries to make sure the silicon will not give up against water pressure.

    Hi can we use epoxy resine for bond ?

    • @DIYwithAK
      @DIYwithAK  4 роки тому

      Yes you can. But make sure there are no air gaps. To make the structure stronger, you can also use some strong tape after the epoxy adhesive dries.
      Sorry for the late reply
