It is also amazing how one actress can totally butcher a role. I'm not sure how Lori's replacement got the role, but she certainly wasn't right for the part. It isn't her fault really, but it shows you how important casting is.
@@24kjay38 I don't know. They got a long fine with her being gone from season 3-4. Not sure why they had to force another actress into the role in the middle of having the original actress coming back then leaving again. Maybe they were 100% committed to the Fez story line with getting married to be a citizen...
I've watched this series a million times and thought I knew everything there was to know. Wrong--I didn't realize Kitty's outfit in the finale was the same as in the opener.
Lol I’ve seen the show 5 going on 6 times now and my mom is the one who brought this up 😂 I saw the whole series the first time around in 3 days (had to write a report on the show for school) and my mom saw half of the first episode with me and as I was finishing the series she asks “Are you still on the same episode?” To which I told her no and she said “So does she wear the same outfit every episode?” And that’s how I noticed lol
What they need to do is do a sequal to the show and set it in the 90s and call it "That 90s Show" , 20 years later. The show develops around Donna and Eric's son and his son's friends, who have the same similarities as Eric's old friends.
Dan Kiser The problem with “That 80’s Show” was that the characters were not teenagers. A 90’s version could only work if they keep to that formula. As T7S says in the Star Wars episode: puberty sucks no matter what decade it is.
Angel Singer i know but this time its different because the original actors will be there and it will be exactly like the original show trying to connect to a new generation.
Maria Rosa my other idea for the 90's sequal tjat it would take place between Jan. of 1990 to Dec. of 1999. That way the the show would not try and juice it and stretch it out like they did for T7S.
Amazing Supergirl they did mention it once. In the episode where Red was watching soap operas (wish i knew more about the episode to clarify better) in the credits they say "AND WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO MIDGE'S DAUGHTER TINA" as a soap oprea "to be continued" joke
@Steve JarvisThis is the THIRD time I'm seeing your stupid ass comment. Stfu. He was accused and there was absolutely no evidence to support the accusation.
Hannah B I personally liked it. It made sense. Jackie always had feelings for him in the beginning seasons it felt like and fez of course did too but they didn’t realize it until they matured and got to the final season
Tommy Chong’s cellmate was Jordan Belford the real life Wolf of Wall St. In fact it was Tommy who encouraged Jordan to write the book that the movie about him was based on. And they say prison doesn’t teach you anything!
How the show show should have ended Jackie and Hyde end up together and have a baby Eric and Donna leave point place and and get married but return and take the old Forman house Kelso moves back to point place with his daughter Fez leaves back to his country and gets all the girls because they think he's popular but he realize he wants to be a nobody and moves back and kitty and red move to Florida with bob after leaving the house to Eric Randy ends up leaving the Forman house after Donnas break up but meets a blonde on her way to families house name Laura and decided to go to Chicago together
The only thing I don't agree with is Fez and Jackie not ending up together. Considering Fez was obsessed with Jackie for most of the seasons I think it made a lot of sense.
I have a feeling That 80s Show flopped because people still wanted That 70s Show. I’ve heard mixed reviews from my friends saying That 80s Show was “pretty funny and underrated” while others said “it’s not the same”. All I’m saying is now that some time has passed the writers should totally come together and make a That 90s Show!
The problem is that the jokes in that 80s show were specifically about the 80s, so if you weren't alive back then, it's hard to relate. That 70s show was relatable to tons of people because there were jokes about growing up in the 70s, living in Wisconsin, and being a teen in general.
@@ArtixellAnimations but majority of the fans were not born in the 70s, most were teenagers born in the 90s early 2000s when that 70snshow became popular.
Fact #31...The main cast still makes so much money from residuals as the show plays about a gazillion times a day in syndication, they'll never have to work again if they don't want. In a published article it was reported Topher Grace collects over $1 Million every month.
NeonScarlett what do you expect ? There’s only so much you can do with a show like that after a while most shows after the 5th or 6th season stop being unique and kinda get dull
@@doncaesar712 first mistake was getting rid of Topher (spelling?). The show was always centered around him, not sure why they thought it would feel right without him.
No comment on The Rock playing his father? Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson portrayed his father, professional wrestler Rocky Johnson in the episode where the gang went to a wrestling event. Part of the joke was that Rocky's son was just born and that he would grow up to be "the most electrifying man in sports entertainment", which is how The Rock referred to himself.
Jackie’s mom was switched up as well. In season one when she’s showing off the house and they’re having the keg party in the pool she was played by a different actress and then came back in the later seasons as Brooke Shields
I --- LIVED that 70's Show. My teen years were THAT PERIOD in time. This show totally EPITOMIZES the decade and the period. To me, the 70's AND the 80's were the best decades to be alive in. Life was fairly simple and care free. I'll just leave it at that.
Mine too. Maybe that's why I never really got into the show. '75 - 80 were my time to shine as a teenager. I dug the 70s, but 1980 turned out to be a dreadul year, and that was, as they say, that.
I'm right there with you in the 70's era. I graduated high school in '77. We had great times and there was great music, but I don't think that it was any better or worse than other times. It just happened to be when we were young and everything is new. Don't forget that we were in a pretty crippling recession then.
matt waller I saw the same facts literally WORD FOR WORD on this article www.mentalfloss.com/article/67387/15-vintage-facts-about-70s-show like she can't even change the words a little so it's not such a rip off
Cooky Comps she has dated all the men. (eric doesnt fall into that category).first names are more intimate. and I think she has called eric "Forman" at least once.
Cooky Comps, the only reason why Jackie prefers to call Forman, Hyde, and Kelso by their first names, respectively Eric, Steven, and Michael, was because she wanted to sound like their mothers! That's why!
So many memories. I love this show. I still remember the excitement of waiting for a new episode every week. And I’ve seen it many times after it was over.
Nelly Rod Pad That's not possible. They were teenagers in the late 70's. Now ( the present ) the would all be over 50 years old!! The actors who play them are in their late 30's. When you want to see them again, it will take place in the 90's, that would be correct.
I thought you would mention that Danny masterson who plays Hyde's character, is Chris masterson's brother, who plays Francis on Malcolm in the middle. They have other famous brothers and sisters
I was raised by my grandparents, who are almost the same real life ages as red and kitty, and cannot believe how amazingly realistic those characters are. My grandparents are exactly those characters, and I’m like Erics son they raised.
Randy with Eric's style of humor??? I stop watching every time that guy comes on. The show wasn't the same after Eric and kelso leave. Randy made the show unwatchable.
Kelso leaving mattered. He and Hyde were the funniest, coolest ones. Eric was normal, dorky, boring. Randy, at least, had more personality, and was cool. Not as cool as Hyde and Kelso, but cooler than Eric.
I intended to just turn the show on for a minute to see how 70's it actually was. It was the scene where Hyde explained he theory of a "cocktail dad." That's an actual phrase my brother used in the 70's about our neighbors dad. Cocktail dads had a mini bar, swizzle sticks and his own keg tap, etc. I was an instant fan.
I hated season 8 :( I missed Eric I missed Kelso I hated that kelso had a kid I hated donnas hair and I HATED Jack and that Eric and Donna broke up!!!! And I’m in love with kelso and I LOVEEEE Kitty so much
I used to live in Wisconsin for a while.. Just loved hearing that "Hello Wisconsin!" In fact where they were supposedly living in Wisconsin in That 70s Show wasn't far from where I lived...lol. I actually miss Fes the most... OMG! Wilmer Valderrama was perfect!
Loved this show!!! It was the last sitcom-comedy show I ever liked on the tube. Although corny most times, especially the last season like any show, I loved the camaraderie of the characters. You can tell they got along in real life.

Her name is Laurie...
It is also amazing how one actress can totally butcher a role. I'm not sure how Lori's replacement got the role, but she certainly wasn't right for the part. It isn't her fault really, but it shows you how important casting is.
@@RealAlphaDrum they just needed someone quick. They didn't know what to do
@@24kjay38 I don't know.
Lol I’ve seen the show 5 going on 6 times now and my mom is the one who brought this up 😂
I saw the whole series the first time around in 3 days (had to write a report on the show for school) and my mom saw half of the first episode with me and as I was finishing the series she asks
“Are you still on the same episode?”
To which I told her no and she said
“So does she wear the same outfit every episode?”
And that’s how I noticed lol
sameee
Dang I've seen this a million times and never noticed. Kudos to your mom on the incite.
I saw this show as it aired and i noticed her outfit right away.

What they need to do is do a sequal to the show and set it in the 90s and call it "That 90s Show" , 20 years later. The show develops around Donna and Eric's son and his son's friends, who have the same similarities as Eric's old friends.
Dan Kiser Ive thought the same. But with whats going on with Danny Masterson i doubt it will be soon
There was very briefly That 80s show. It was awful.
Maria Rosa my other idea for the 90's sequal tjat it would take place between Jan. of 1990 to Dec. of 1999. That way the the show would not try and juice it and stretch it out like they did for T7S.
Omg I forgot that Donna had a little sister
AND IVE WATCHED THE WHOLE EIGHT SEASONS TWICE
I’m actively in the middle of a rewatch, I’m season and I forgot about her again!
Me too
:/ I wonder why they showed her once then never mentioned her existence again. Thinking of allllll those scenes at donnas house
You only watched them twice?

The Jackie and fez relationship was an awful idea...
That's for sure!
The Last season is the worst
It kinda was brought up early in the show how his dedication to a woman she lowkey liked
Hannah B I personally liked it. It made sense. Jackie always had feelings for him in the beginning seasons it felt like and fez of course did too but they didn’t realize it until they matured and got to the final season

The fact they took it off netflix has me done with Netflix.

Tommy Chong’s cellmate was Jordan Belford the real life Wolf of Wall St. In fact it was Tommy who encouraged Jordan to write the book that the movie about him was based on. And they say prison doesn’t teach you anything!
How the show show should have ended
Jackie and Hyde end up together and have a baby
Eric and Donna leave point place and and get married but return and take the old Forman house
Kelso moves back to point place with his daughter
Fez leaves back to his country and gets all the girls because they think he's popular but he realize he wants to be a nobody and moves back and
kitty and red move to Florida with bob after leaving the house to Eric
Randy ends up leaving the Forman house after Donnas break up but meets a blonde on her way to families house name Laura and decided to go to Chicago together
Whoa...
danny fonseca That would've been a better That 80's Show than the one that was on...
danny fonseca that sounds terrible. and also red & kitty hated bob, they could never live together.
In my mind, that's how it did end.
The only thing I don't agree with is Fez and Jackie not ending up together. Considering Fez was obsessed with Jackie for most of the seasons I think it made a lot of sense.
“You really feel like you can connect to the characters.”
**vodka pouring intensifies**
Sounds about right honestly...
According to Laurie, it was rum
I like how there are like 3-4 Christmas episodes between Eric's 17th and 18th birthday. The timeline is fucked.
gurra88 it’s ok to have Christmas parties throughout the year, it’s just the Christmas spirit y’know
I never noticed this before...I googling it now lol:))
The last season went crap when Eric's actor left and that Brandy or Brandon dude became Dona's bf
Josh Myers SUCKS !!!!
It was awful
@@ArtixellAnimations but majority of the fans were not born in the 70s, most were teenagers born in the 90s early 2000s when that 70snshow became popular.

Fact #31...The main cast still makes so much money from residuals as the show plays about a gazillion times a day in syndication, they'll never have to work again if they don't want. In a published article it was reported Topher Grace collects over $1 Million every month.

I thought that Brooke was Bob's girlfriend. They should have mentioned here that Tanya Roberts was one of the later stars of Charlie's Angels.

I --- LIVED that 70's Show.
My teen years were THAT PERIOD in time.
This show totally EPITOMIZES the decade and the period.
To me, the 70's AND the 80's were the best decades to be alive in.
Life was fairly simple and care free.
I'll just leave it at that.
mikebealsrocks That’s so far from true, I can’t with you....
I lived it too. I think the show is A LOT milder than reality. At least in my experience. The reality show would be almost RRR rated.
every decade is great and special... To me all decades of my life are the best ones :)

And mispronounced the name of one of the most famous rock stars of the 1960s and 70s.
Interesting how Jackie calling everyone by their first names instead of their last makes her seem less formal?
Cooky Comps no makes her seem less laid back and more serious
Cooky Comps she has dated all the men. (eric doesnt fall into that category).first names are more intimate. and I think she has called eric "Forman" at least once.
Everyone calls her Jackie and not Burkhart. So Jackie isn't the only one who calls people by their firt names
The truth be told, Jonathon Frazier, is that Eric prefers Donna over Jackie!
Cooky Comps, the only reason why Jackie prefers to call Forman, Hyde, and Kelso by their first names, respectively Eric, Steven, and Michael, was because she wanted to sound like their mothers! That's why!
What’s crazy is Tommy Chong went to prison and bunked with Jordan Belfort. Yeah the wolf of Wall Street.
So many memories. I love this show. I still remember the excitement of waiting for a new episode every week. And I’ve seen it many times after it was over.

When you want to see them again, it will take place in the 90's, that would be correct.
The ranch
They forgot to mention that the actress who played donna was taking acting lessons during the filming of the show.
that's fairly normal especially for young actors
I would say she was the weakest acting wise. She got better, but still not as natural as the rest.
I thought you would mention that Danny masterson who plays Hyde's character, is Chris masterson's brother, who plays Francis on Malcolm in the middle. They have other famous brothers and sisters
