I think bringing back the filter tab would be super beneficial to creative games as knew and old players wont be *almost* forced to play what everyone else plays ( little kids ). It wouldn’t be perfect but it would make it easier for people to find unique games they want to play instead of falling into a rabbit hole of cheap easy games like blade ball

Personally i think Battlegrounds games are the most versatile, most "valid" games to "copy." Gameplay is relatively simple but fun, so wanting to have that but for different anime's makes alot of sense to me.
its like the "souls" game category, its like the same case here
theres a very clear basis for the raw gameplay, but theres a a significant amount of differences that doesnt make it a pure copy

I personally believe the combat system is horrid, but im pretty sure Heroes Battleground was made by the same people who made strongest battlegrounds and a lot of people who call it a copy don’t know that which is just brilliant. disagree hardly on this, I personally can't find any differences besides the actual moves (which is a given since they're from different characters and animes). it's like roblox devs made a decision to just collectively create the same game for different animes when we could just have an ABA-style game with all of the animes in one game instead of forcing players to decide what game they want to play and grind kills/dmg on, and that just makes all the copying wayy worse since it's the same playerbase being separated in different games for basically no reason since they're all the exact same. the whole situation also makes for an extremely competitive scenario between the devs of these games where one small screw-up means 5k of their daily players will move to another more balanced & fun battleground game
@@sfcalamity disagree hardly on this, I personally like that there's different games for each anime because, what if someone just wants to play a jjk fighting game or a mha fighting game, also about the moves, how do you find them the same? They're completely different, the only ones similar are the heroes battleground and the strongest battleground.
Honestly I think the rise of battlegrounds games isnt negative, it just shows that were tired of grinding in games and we would rather just take a hit of dope. Yeah I can see it being repatative but if you notice, only the good battlegrounds actually stand on there own two feet.

This is the reason why I always struggle to find a game to play without being bored or leaving it after a couple of minutes.
Even dead games are honestly better than these types of games but sometimes the old games suck similar to deep woken in my opinion.

As a developer myself im just gonna say this man. its VERY difficult to develop anything on roblox. Ive worked with studios from other platforms such as unity and unreal engine for DE, Arc studuos, NetEase, amazon games, and was trying indie dev for some time as a summer freelance job. I've gotta tell you, smooth sailing, i make problem solving my top priority in development because im a 3D game artist and have a deep programming background, but it seems roblox isn't as accepting as the... Regular open community. The roblox community has a very different and more negative reaction than say, the overall reddit gaming community, the discord community overall, and the way games are recieved in general. A big youtube game reviewing company wont 8/10 your game giving proper points and instruction for you to possibly take note of after testing it. Instead on roblox we have to hope the inexperienced and heavily critical kids dont simply look at our games and say things like "im not playing cuz my characters not in it" or "the game looks too good watch it never release" "game bad" "my game better " amongst far worst things they say simply because they have a bias toward another game or developer they follow. Devs get a thrashing from kids, and i mean a big one. When making a passion project? Wich is where you find the most creativity, getting negativity when you KNOW it actually has good gameplay and graphics, and youve optimized it well enough to get at least decent feedback or better. It really makes you want to quit when people who have no development background act like they know how to make a proper game and judges you, but cant even place a block in studio to make anything because "its difficult" to them when they're just lazy and inexperienced. They'll even drag you down for views much harder than the average gamer would. Trust me building with blocks is actually much easier than say using a professional app like blender or zbrush, etc. for us devs its like magic to get such a handcrafted tool that works formlessly and speeds up our workflow, but it doesnt matter because we're working with a pretty childish community all in all. I love the roblox community, BUT WE NEED TO FORCE OURSELVES TO COMPLETE PROJECTS. Quitting causes people to think their judgement will always be justified, we as devs need to show the people what quality we can provide and stop pissing and crying because blueballs38 said our lobby is ugly or the story looks like it'll probably suck. The negative reaction the community has can easily be ne solved if we just RELEASE OUR GAME, and stop making all these million minor improvements yo make everyone happy, and end up with another bandit beater for the big audience that thinks its a good thing. Trust me, if you want money that badly? MAKE ANY QUALITY PROJECT. And show people youre better than a tycoon or simulator. Money will come in droves. Trust me, theres proof being shown all over the gaming industry. Believe in yourself, and when things get negative and critical, show them what you can do. Plug in your headphones, get your team in a discord call or Skype or whatever you use, and support each other. Get to work.
This is a mindset you just don’t see in a lot of developers all the applause to you sir and I wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavors on the platform we need more like you.

It shouldn't take 3 years for someone to make a block game only to end up releasing a fully remastered project like blox fruits or blade ball which honestly could be made overnight or in a week.

Truthfully Blox fruits is the most overrated trash on Roblox with its m1 spamming the same npc, one shot combos, with no plot nor storyline, games on Roblox are so money grabbing and it’s just sad
I can see games like Arcane Odyssey rising up and become a favorite amongst people who like to explore, it’s a game I’ve been waiting to see on Roblox and this game is a game that everyone who loves adventures should try

Probably, since we got alot of good games coming and innovating the platform(Rell Seas with the crew system, animations and progress, and the way you sell your items)
rell seas, holy war, and more there are more good games coming the drought is ending soon and hopefully these next gen games will be the new standard and other game dev groups will up their quality
if rell seas doesn't save us we are probably doomed. I'm not saying holy war is bad but sds just isn't as popular as one piece and the fandom has been shit on multiple times

Hours has got to be one of the most fun games I've played on the platform. It has unqiue characters, abilites, upgrades and levels. The enemies look cool, are randomized, and some enemies that actually can be difficult to deal with. The bosses have cool mechanics and the themes are epic. Sorry for the ramble.@@TechyOP_
He's right. For example, hours, (a game he showed near the start) is extremely fun, creative and entertaining, but gets barely any players for who knows what reason. This also lost the devs motivation to continue on updates, and leaves players who actually enjoy creativity (like me) without any updates, meanwhile the anime and skibidi toilet fanbases are absolutely thriving because of lack in creativity.
hours was a test game by sen, to test the waters and see how roblox is doing as a platform for developers.
it's literally announced in the discord server that sen won't be developing on roblox anymore as it's a terrible platform for devs like him (more or less because of lack of recommendation to new players, or just that roblox is taxing the shit out of your robux.)

They really won't. Most copies of Rell Seas will just feel like a jankier or more "diet" version of it.
The vast amount of people working on that game combined with how much money Rell Brothers have sunk into it tells me that it's going to be impossible to recreate in a timely manner without dumping even more cash the Rell Brothers have.
It's wishful thinking that everyone would immediately up their standards, but it's really nothing but a pipe dream.
Let's just hope Rell Seas will be good and be content with that.

For the battleground "copies", I do agree that if it gets too out of hand itd be a bigger issue, but, since games like Heroes baattlegrounds and Z battlegrounds use different animes, its kind of a whole different game in a way. More specifically Heroes battlegrounds with their mastery system, daily quests, and boss fights.

I fell like soulshatters is a good example of what you are talking about here. Games based off of soulshatters only appeared after bunny stopped working on the game, which is when games like undertale test place reborn and alternate battlegrounds appeared, and they weren’t even direct copies of soul shatters, as they felt very different to play. There are quite a few very low quality soulshatters fan games but they are ignored by the community, and the only soulshatters fan game that rips of soulshatters is random battle place, where it’s literally the same game but rbp has no bugs and some slight balance changes meaning it’s just soulshatters but better. Point is though, for the most part soulshatters fan games only took the unique ideas of soulshatters and what is was about then made their own mostly unique games with it.

The battlegrounds game genre has recently branched out into cooler features such as Sorcerers battle ground adding a halloween moveset, Z batllegrounds adding a Fusion moveset, and heroes battlegrounds adding a boss battle
for the last one, they did that AFTER tsb announced they would add a boss battle so

Sorcerer battleground has an original moveset outside of the franchise? Damn it’s not like that idea has been used in other battleground games (gojo bias) and games that doesn’t use battlegrounds formula, it’s invalid to call it “cooler feature”.
Z battlegrounds having fusion? Again, same problem as last game because it’s the core of DB franchise, many DB games have it, so it’s not a “cooler feature”.
Only heroes battlegrounds have the potential to be successful from nomu boss fight and mastery system, which is unique enough to be a standalone game on roblox (but they chose battlegrounds formula to fish players into the trend)
I can’t believe games like Brookhaven get 1 million but games like black magic 2 get 25 players daily 😭 bring that game back bruh

they already made the "no copy" rule, it's just that it only applies to blatantly copied games.
Battlegrounds games are NOT copies. They follow a formula and the most popular ones are good high quality games made by a passionate team of devs or often times just a single dev.
I remember when the battlegrounds genre got popular and people were getting so hyped for just one battleground game now they come out every day.

Over my time on roblox, I have seen many good games but only a select few of them gets the popularity they deserve. For example, hours. Really good fighting game, only 400 players. Warlords, one of the best rts game where you can actually play as an character that I have seen. The Flappy Men, a really great team fps game. The Battle Bricks, basically the battle cats but less grindy. Arcane Odyssey is one that got pretty popular but died off due to lack of content. Decaying Winter is one that is still pretty popular. I am sure you can find more examples.
Man, decaying winter is and will ever be my favorite roblox game, is just, thst doesn't even feels like a roblox game, you take out those blocky characters and is not a roblox game, and that is good

To be honest, i wouldnt really say King Legacy is a "copy" it and blox fruits both came out at around the same time, its just the sole fact that blix fruits got more attention than king legacy
Also the dev of King Legacy is friends with the dev of Blox Fruits, so both have taken ideas from one another at one point in time
I feel so old even though i'm not. I remember I used to play mad games, work at a pizza place, phantom forces, final stand, and lots of other og classics and feeling so happy. Now Roblox has just become a boat load of copies and no imagination even though the devs probably could cook up something good and original.
I didn't know how good I had it with Soul Shatters until now. It is a very highly quality fighting game based on Undertale, yet instead of spawning a bunch of copies that overtook it (though of course there will still copies), all the popular branches of Soul Shatters are just that: branches. They all diverge in how to build upon the foundation built by Bunny, and many started development while Soul Shatters was still in its heyday because there were/are things in the original they didn't like that weren't/won't be getting changes. When I compare the weeds that sprung from Strongest Battlegrounds to the trees that sprung from Soul Shatters, I really do feel like I lucked out. It also shows that there can still be creativity based from inspiration rather than plagiarism. I do agree though that this was sadly an exception and not the rule.
Its rare to find games where the main focus is to satisfy the player but instead is there to make money, its so hard to find an actual good game that doesnt involve p2w
Maybe you can try good games like: Arcane Odyssey, Entry point or decaing winter, these are some examples of good games in roblox and in Arcane Odyssey doesnt have any pay to win merchandise in game.

I feel like they isn’t that much to really make that is new because everyone follows a formula that works. Most things that people try to add in they game has already been added in others so it’s kinda hard to be innovative and when it comes to mechanics and stuff it really depends on if the developer wants to be risky or wants to play it safe and follow a formula. It’s not that it’s really dead, more so there isn’t that much things games can implement that can be considered original. This has been a problem throughout everything’s including stories, we might be reaching that age where most of the things we see are just gonna be repeats but better in my opinion

Your battlegrounds take and rpgs is not fair as people just want the strongest battlegrounds in a different anime format like I like the strongest battlegrounds but I would like a Tokyo ghoul battlegrounds or I like bleach battlegrounds. The other battlegrounds fail due to them not releasing with as many characters and some of them just becoming lazy and not updating the game at all(mob 100 battlegrounds)
There is always something new, you just have to find it. And that is the hard part. You dont even have to find something new either, you could just mix things you like together and get something.
Though this is rarely a viable option if profit is of any concern.
fun fact, rouge demon is the oldest "battlegrounds" game (bunch of free characters with early access, 1 big map) meaning that, infact, a demonslayer game is the original battlegorunds game, not saitama battlegrounds, although saitama battlegrounds did introduce ultimate modes and ranked making it different from rouge demon and have some sense of originality

I mean to be fully honest, I actually like some simulators, at least in the past. Partially cause I also like incremental games tbh. The issue is that a lot of the simulators now are clearly uninspired and usually crapplily made, similators can work and can be worth playing if they focus on proper and rewarding incremental progress instead of just being pure idle games with no real progression. Compare simulators today to past ones like Ninja Legends that has actual incremental progression with idle features. (Not saying that Ninja Legends is the best simulator around)
Try A Typical Neighborhood, it's a funny role play pvp game
Instead of focusing on only the kiddie and role play stuff, it adds stuff like combat and actual paying jobs
It's quite old tho and it'll get a final update (and then the developer focuses on the remade version, this game is from 2015)

even though this was a few months ago, I really love hearing your thoughts on these games, I personally don’t find any problem with the “copy” of battleground games though, Just as long as they’re fun and not doing something that feels boring. I mean Heroes is very flashy smooth, and overall very well made. Ki and Z battlegrounds had added new and unique features as well (even if Z leans heavily towards tsb as a game) hell sonic showdown is a good example of a battlegrounds game straying a bit far from the battlegrounds genre with the use of parries, evasive, boosts, and much more. I think there’s something special in any battlegrounds game and it can be for any anime fan.
I apologize for the small rant, just a huge BG enjoyer. Anyways, I like watching these videos on your thoughts on these certain issues and such, keep up the good work.
i think youtubers also is the problem, especially like normal roblox youtubers, they would react to a video like this and add nothing to the topic, only bring up old points that are invalid or smth and promote these copies even more
While tsb is a bit basic with a low skill floor the skill ceiling itself is kind of high due to the other players and the movement, and the game does a good job of making you look good from the ults

in my opinion i consider Rogue demon the first semi popular battlegrounds game considering it was the first battlegrounds game that was playable in 2022 and a few months later saitama battlegrounds came out and with it's garou update it was able to popularize battleground games

A) the developers quit
B) The game is cc and difficult to get into without connections
C) developers sell the game off
D) they only really do it for the money and rely on hype, this is what I would call the Jujutsu infinite method

Seeing neonknights at the end when talking about innovative/good but unpopular games hurts my soul a little cuz that is just what it is
actually a lot of bg games are better than tsbg, some of them have better combat, better looking moves, and bosses. And not only that, the reason I think bg games are so popular is because there are so many popular ips you can make a bg game off of, more so than opm. For example, games like z battlegrounds, sorcerer battlegrounds and z battlegrounds are popular is because either their anime has a lot of hype around it or the ip is simply more popular. Also a lot of these games get updated more frequently than tsbg
saitama battlegrounds has the best combat, the moves are much more impactful because the good looking moves are in mode, and bosses are just cash grabs

A game I would recommend is pilgrammed, it’s honestly a fun rpg game that feels like a Sekiro game and I had such a blast playing it for the first time, figuring out stuff by yourself in that game is fun and the combat is pretty good, and it also has a good variety of weapons you can use, while also having enchantments which make your weapons better and more fun to use, it kinda died due to the gameplay getting repetitive in the end, but it’s fun when you first play it.
5:01 personally, i disagree with this. in ABA, pretty much every character has a one shot combo, which honestly isnt fun to play against. In strongest battlegrounds, you atleast have an evasive to get out of combos and in general the combos are harder to pull off.

I agree, I play this battle ground games often and is pretty hard to even do a combo that does like half your health without them escaping unless you use some specific characters, I have seen a lot of ABA gameplay and it looks like it’s easier to easily destroy your enemy’s hp with a simple combo.
Aba combat still has much more depth tbh
in terms of combat mechanics ABA has more depth, but both are not on the level of Anime Showdown in depth.
This is happening due to people having the bigger urge to make games for money , a couple of years ago people were doing it because that was their passion , but now roblox = money generator for most devs
I think another large issue is the unreliable development teams, there is constant distrust and misuse and certain people will pray on young roblox devs just so they can steal from them. We already know this is the case when gamefam was a registered company and did all the stuff prior said.
I know roblox can't really do that much because it's 3rd party but like, should something this unethical be considered legal in the future?? this just feels like it can get so wrong, there has also been devs in the past who were actual creeps like notive and it will only get worse when more kids see this as another "internet job that gives you money by doing nothing" and then end up scarring themselves emotionally and physically for a good chunk of their lives, it happens too much man.

I think with strongest battle grounds copys is that the people that play it usually want to play their favorite anime verse in a game with a similar combat system to strongest battlegrounds. I personaly like jujutsu battle grounds more not cuz the combat is better or anything (hell its prob worse) I like that I can beat people up as yuji and they usualy are really unique (USUALY)

as a opm fan from 2019 to today i will never forget tsb but the players really think its not game based on anime
I feel like developers see a cool game idea (i.e strongest battlegrounds, TDS games) and make their own games not to put their own spin on it but to monetize it to oblivion or to cash out on its current popularity
In my opinion about the battleground exhibit, i think that it's cool the idea of having the same formula for different anime, i even consider heroes battlegrounds to be smoother and better than STB
Anyway, play derelict, it's nowhere near finished but it's very special and the Devs always can use more support.

One of the older battlegrounds games like these was Ntjjg. It used to be very popular, but lost a lot of traction due to updates slowing down
as a new game dev, its hard to try and create/think of new and unique games that would also be profitable

In the case of the many battleground games i see it more as inspired by 1 their favorite anime and 2 tsb. While most of them arent good the ones that are can be an enjoyable experience

Honestly that battlegrounds bit reminded me of the real og battlegrounds game, Elemental Battlegrounds. But yeah it's basically impossible to find good games on the front page. But luckily I figured out some good games and roblox recommends similar games to those good games. Which also happen to be good games. (Sometimes)

Titan warfare and decaying winter are examples of good games that didn't make it to be popular because roblox is oriented towards kids and kids will only play braindead games.
Talking about braindead games i gotta give a really nice point for saitama battlegrounds because it managed to keep a low skill ceiling but if you dig deeply into the game you can start to be skilled, is honestly amazing how they were able to make low skilled and high skilled players have the same fun. I would hoped titan warfare was able to do that.

There are some simulators that are good still forgoten.I don t think many of us know Sorcers fighting simulator but it was a fun game with its own lore and story which made The game intresting and wanting you to get stronger and get a higher rank.If that game would have got constant updates it could get alot more popularity because of The lore.

I agree but *some* battleground games aren’t just copies they have lots of hard work put into them and battlegrounds is more of a genre in my opinion when you put into consideration the other games that are good with the battleground type games. And in the end, I don’t think that the devs of battleground games like z or sorcerer have no imagination I think they are just for people that prefer those anime over opm and that gives them more options

First battleground game is Marvellous battleground which is every movie combined into a battleground game
In a way heros battle grounds is one of the pioneers it was first implement to a boss and mastery system makes it feel like you actually have a reason to play a character and the same goes fpr the boss it isn't there just to be there in the end you'll get rewarded for getting curve stomped over and over again i guess in some ways z battle grounds is unique
