this would be awesome if the strokes / points were rendered in 3d space.

This feature is in our to do list but we have some unresolved problems. Like how to determine z component for masks. Masks is 2d.

@@irrealix And what about use spatial path instead of mask for this case? Like most particle plugins do.. Maybe there will be more ways after 3D mercury enginge will be released..
