Curious how it worked with more media? The media ideally should move in a sort of rolling donut, not only going around in circles but going from top inwards and down into the other media (like a donut that is being twisted so the top ends up the bottom and so on).

This is a recognised procedure and improves the gear change operation. If don properly it makes for very smooth changes.
I've only just modified the tumbler and have yet to buy enough media to run it!
how is that an upgrade? - that reduces the vibration...
