Hello mike, beautiful video, the sowing is going well? How many hectares do you grow? Sorry for my average English English, I am French and I am a farmer too. Have a good day
A lot of what has to do with the size of the grids I'd say is how much traffic they get and what sort of traffic they get. I know there's some really small grids in my RM because they only see a dozen vehicles in a year and then they have some grids bigger than our highway because they get lots of traffic and lots of machinery on it as well. It doesn't all just come down to the RM deciding how wide they want their roads; it's more of how to best allocate the resources for those roads.
Hey Mike, love the videos, just wondered have you ever thought about running versatile tractors on the farm, something like a 610 dt.?, maybe in video tell us you views on them
Mike I have two questions if I may ;). The first one is do those airdrills have brakes on them or is all the stopping power coming from just the pulling tractor, maybe kam blind and did not see them. The second one is how do you guys keep track where you are and where your going on those roads to the fields ?
Mike, is winter crop a think in ur area? Because u were talking about canola in the previous video and it got me thinking why noone does winter canola, because winter canola here in lithuania yields a lot better than spring canola

JD 620RX + 84' drill + 71300 cart = 65,000 + 61,000 + 48,000 = 174,000 lb ( ± 79 Metric tons ), ... that's empty !!! Someone here said a fully loaded cart is approx 80,000 lb, so that would make a total of 254,000 lb ( ± 115 Metric tons ).
As where I dislike the way the r series thinks about what it's doing for a second before it shifts. I really don't care for the way the cats and steigers shift super hard. Especially if your trying to use their electric clutches backing up to something. Always felt like it was an all or nothing. And I do like the way you can put it in gear with an ivy and hit the brake with no clutch and stop all the way. Makes it really nice backing up to something. Safer too.

I live in RM number 1 actual mike. We actually have some decently wide roads we can get our drill down it fairly good.
We have the same road situation here in Iowa. Some counties do a great job maintaining their rural roads and others not so much. You take care.
Tap things with a 2Oz or 4 Oz ballpen hammer. You can tell if its loose or cracked. They do it on steam railway engines, maybe even still diesels.
Lot of uk farms and trucks run checkpoints - the Plastic arrows that fit on the nuts/studs. Shows if all still aligned.
