  • UPDATE: I removed the samples part as it was really "too ugly". Please check some very basic samples I recorded as shorts that very morning but I did not dare to include to avoid copyright issues. Find here the links.

    Hi dear friends,
I know you are used to find on this channel technical tutorials.
This week's video will be different, it will be an "Ugly Review" of the Harley Benton Tube 15 Celestion Valve/Tube amplifier.
What's "Ugly" about it? Nothing about the product, on the contrary I can tell you to me it is a undiscussed best buy, but the review itself is very ugly. Camera is ugly, I am ugly both in video and playing and there is no post processing so the video in whole is "Ugly".
The reason for that is I wanted to share my full personal experience in the shoes of myself as a beginner guitarist if I had the opportunity to have this device in my hands when I started.
So the review is very conversational and it is seen with the eyes of a young (and broken) customer.
I hope you will still enjoy it.
Please check in the channel some more acceptable samples I recorded on the flight in the shorts section.

This is a fun amp. Fun to play with, fun to modify. Enjoy playing with it! 🎉

Honestly I love it, it has everything I love in tube amps: creamy crunch, reactivity under the fingers, dynamic response, but it is also so cheap and light I am never scared to use it or to bring it anywhere. My fiancee already renamed it "Burro", the italian word for butter, due to the sound and its color

Its a very good time to be getting into guitar r n. This amp is *much* better than what you could get for under $300 when&where I was starting out. Could find little else but sh*tty solid-states or maybe a half-busted Champ for that cheap where I lived ...in 1989 dollars(!)

It's completely true. And what you say is even more applicable to guitars. When I was young everything below 2000 bucks was pure s..t, nowadays I can find great instruments for even 100... Well, honestly speaking this amp is somehow an outsider, as I say in the video it costs less than its components alone, for this reason I felt a little ashamed when I purchased it...

Definitely. Too bad copyright strikes scare me a ton. I just uploaded some very basic samples I recorded that very morning but I did not dare to include and converted into shorts for safety. Nothing good but they give a better idea

You need less stuff, and more practice.

Definitely. 😂. I am a good technician and a very bad player. Consider also I got a copyright strike for replicating 3 notes. I am so worried about it I scramble everything for better safety, frustrating.

@@TutoJam You can play standard forms like 12 bar blues or use copyright-free backing tracks to minimize (potential) strikes. It is no sure thing because the algo is always changing and buggy, but at least you can effectively "load the dice" in your favor.

@shaft9000 yep. I will prepare or compose a simple sampling suite for these needs
