@@OdinMakes Hi Odin please make the TemPad, and if it's not to much to ask please make it a 3D print so that I can make one to. There aren't any TemPad models that I have found.
Ah yes... pretty much the exact experience I've had every time I've opened Blender as well... But yeah the baton looks great I can imagine the foam version might be even easier to make, but this one probably has a bit more heft to it so that its weighted to feel more baton-like. (I guess you could also just add weight to a foam one but this is already done.)
For the wood finish on the PVC pipe, I did one that looks REALLY close to wood for a Grim Reaper scythe in my Halloween video last year. I did flat black spray paint, then used acrylics. Dry brushed dark brown so it wasn't a full coating, then dry brushed medium brown, then light brown. And each color I used less and less. So more dark brown on the brush than medium, and more medium than light. And only went up the length so give it brush strokes in that direction only to give it a grain look.
After you adjust all those things at the start when you open blender, you can actually save those defaults and whatever is in your current scene becomes the new program default. I built a cube the exact size of my print volume with my buildplate that shows up every time it opens.
When he said it sounds like wood when it’s dropped I was relived at the fact that I wasn’t the only one that noticed it sounded like a dowel being dropped in the show
I knew as soon as I read the title, that you would be bringing out your awesome Marvel intro!!! …please consider making Princess Zelda’s sword from Twilight Princess? Please? 🥺🙏🏻
When i read the title I thought it was a theory that odin made the ones universe but this is so much better (i came looking for copper and discovered gold)
It would be great if it could change colors like in the show. You know, when you want to stunt somebody it glows in diferent color like when you want to erase someone.
You should get yourself a tolerator or find an online one, it's a tool i use multiple times a day to find the tolerance of metal parts that either need press fits or sliding fits nd will save you alot of trouble when making pieces that need to connect together
Now that Odin is expanding into 3d printing certain things I’d love to see even more intricate helmets. Maybe combining foam and 3d printed designs. Having odin make Dr.Fate’s standard helmet from Injustice 2 would look killer!
Marvelous job Odin! I'm defiantly going to attempt to build a TVA Time Baton. Are you enjoying Loki? I know i am, no spoilers by far it is my favorite of the Disney + Marvel T.V shows so Far. Keep up the great work Odin. Enjoy your week and your weekend. Again a very interesting way to make a TVA Time Baton, great job. Glorious!
I love this, also, as far as painting PVC black, you can use plastidip, you just need to sand the PVC first, as far as how ultra durable that finish is, I'm not sure, but I used it on a blaster I made and it's still holding up really well, and you're not dealing with the death in a can that is vinyl spray paint, respirator still required though
That's a fact. Having more features makes a program more complicated, and more of a hassle to use. If you're used to the program, great. But if you're just starting out, or you just want to make the one thing, the more complex is it, the less user-friendly it is.
yeah Blender has a pretty steep learning curve Tinker Cad looks like something I can pick up pretty quick if I can dredge up the memories from my high school Cad classes and collage Theater Drafting
Do you have a link to the LED strips? I've been needing something similar like that for a project but I haven't seen ones with as short cut lengths as those.
Odin, you might give Fusion 360 a try for your 3D designs. It’s worked great for me when drawing everything from Mjolnir to Darth Maul’s lightsaber, to Han’s Hoth DL-44 pieces. It can be gotten as a hobbyist for free, and has tons of community support for learning.
"Light leaks, because it's a fluid." That's an astounding science fact.
Well it acts as a particle and a wave so go figure
Yeah! Science!!
IIRC the comics gave these Batons a formal name:
they are called "Retroactive Cannons" or....Retcons.
*Retcannon
21:54 "Awesome sauce". Just in case you ever had doubts about Odin being an old internet-man.
This led trick is amazing! I'd love to see you make an updated lightsaber with this type of trick. 🙂
And here I was literally thinking you'd make a TemPad while watching today's episode.
I made this last week!
@@OdinMakes Hi Odin please make the TemPad, and if it's not to much to ask please make it a 3D print so that I can make one to. There aren't any TemPad models that I have found.
It is a COB LED strip.
I hope that helps those who were wondering.
I was wondering. He didn't include it in the parts list. Thanks!
THIS DUDE WAS MY CHILDHOOD!! I WAS WATCHING HIM WHEN HE FIRST STARTED OUT!! 'M SO GLAD I RE-FOUND YOU!!
Men, listening to an american maker using metrical makes me so happy. It's like music to my ears.
20:47 that LED strip looks like it would be really good to use for a prop wonder woman lasso, or Dr. Strange spell prop.
Idk why but this prop make me happy 😁 and I'm excited you made it
Absolutely fan-fricking-tastic!
I really admire your skills and talents and hole to be just like you one day!
it is so simple, but so simply well made, great job!
Oh god, no, we have to keep this away from bumblescorpion. Just imagine what kind of havoc he could commit with time travel tech!
This turned out amazing!!!! I really wanted to make one, but I have to much to make...
2:00 you should learn Sketchup
it's much more user friendly
Unless they have significantly changed it in the last few years, SketchUp is anything but user friendly.
@@MrSpannners and not great for 3D printing. The models are not compatible.
@@sjmaguirepdx I use Sketchup for 3D printing all the time.
@Author B.L. Alley User friendly does not mean good. I started on Sketchup, and moved to Solidworks... I will never go back
@@MrSpannners you are wrong

Looks great all these items you have made look amazing
Simple but beautiful. One of my favourites
Thank you!
Love it! Looks amazing. Because that's how Odin rocks.

I love that you show all of your trial and error! You may become my new favorite UA-cam channel ❤️
Those LED strips are a game changer!!!!
I learned something new, Light is a fluid. Good to know !!!
amazing craftsmanship!! thanks for the web-based 3D software tip!!
That looks absolutely amazing! I’ll definitely add this to my build list for the future.
After you adjust all those things at the start when you open blender, you can actually save those defaults and whatever is in your current scene becomes the new program default. I built a cube the exact size of my print volume with my buildplate that shows up every time it opens.
The fun rabbit hole that is LED light strips. I jumped down that hole for a lightsaber build. This was a fun build!
Hi Odin, I'm a fan of your work, it's incredible 👏👏👏
Your props always look so good when you finish them!!
Love this episode
That’s cool how your starting blender! It’s a very useful tool in prop making!
That is amazingly screen accurate sir!! I LOVE IT!!!
Fantastic as always. These remind me of the sticks used by the SAPD in Demolition Man.
You mentioned my country?
When he said it sounds like wood when it’s dropped I was relived at the fact that I wasn’t the only one that noticed it sounded like a dowel being dropped in the show

Thank you for no real spoilers Odin

Odin is one of the time gods
It would be great if it could change colors like in the show. You know, when you want to stunt somebody it glows in diferent color like when you want to erase someone.
Awesome Odin sir you are boss ❤️
You should make one that changes to purple. Hunter B-15s when she slapped Loki was that color.
I cant wait to make this! I think I know which flashlight he used and I may even have it at work!
I might use that template to make a prop staff. Its a cool looking piece!
I was thinking the same thing! Great place to start for a lot of projects.
Wow it like your 1 who make them in the show its so cool

One of the only videos I can remember where you actually show us what it’s supposed to look like. Lol.
Could you make either a judge Dredd or Warhammer space marine helmet?
The master has done it again!
That is awesome
i just randomly realized i want one of these
I think you could use clear hot glue sticks to make the coils that light up
ya i look in to that paint i wont make mic Stan out pvc I couldn't figure out what I could use to paint
Not sure if i missed you saying it but what kind of 3D printer are you using?
Very good job Odin

i'd love to see you make the tempad, extra feature if possible add a compatability for a phone

“This may not have much foam in it, I hope that’s okay with all of you”
Me: sacrilege!
Very cool!
Could you make the time reset machine from Loki pls
I didn't see the LED listed, where did you get the one in the baton?
I was wondering about this as well... @Odin Makes ?

Do you have a link to the LED strips? I've been needing something similar like that for a project but I haven't seen ones with as short cut lengths as those.
I think they’re just standard neopixle style lights
Could you possibly make the time displacement collar?
Hey Odin if you wanted to make it out of foam maybe have it be the top and bottom so you could hit someone with it and it won’t hurt that much.
Now can you make it change colors like Hunter B-15's baton does?
Will you be making the Reset Charge as well to go with it?
Hey Odin, could you try making the 4 legs that come out of the back on the Iron Spider suit in Infinity War, Endgame, Far From Home, and No Way Home?
Can you do the loki or miss loki crown that appears in the trailer, from the series
Yes New Loki Prop!
Light is a particle, lights is a wave
Light is a fluid -Dr Odin 2021
Any chance you could make something without using a 3d printer once in a while please.
What are those led strips called? How do I find them?
COD LED strips.
You can buy them in all sorts of places online.
@@SquareSquidStudios Thank you very much!
Great video Odin.
Create the pad or the PD a device they are using to open a portal’s in the Loki show
Looks good. I was afraid that when you primed the PVC it would slightly increase the outside diameter since your tolerances were so tight.
I have used Krylon Fusion on PVC with no issues.
Another great video does anyone know if Felicia release her first UA-cam video
Where can I order similar led strips?
COD LED strips.
You can buy them in all sorts of places online.
I love this! Haven't seen the show yet, but I always enjoy a good in-universe "tool" prop. Probably why I bought a bunch of Sonic Screwdrivers...
can you make taskmaster sheild or sylvie sword
I never got a good view of the “stick” I’m really happy of how it turned out you should be proud of yourself 😼👌🏻✌🏼
I need to make one of these this weekend for my wife's cosplay is there any way you could share your models for 3d print?
I was thinking “glow rod” from Demolition Man
He’s doesn’t know how to use the three sea shells!!
@@NewbombedTurk ahh, but I bet he can make them though.
Whoa, where can I find those super bright LED strips?
looking at a clearer image of hunter b-15 holding one, It is longer
please do the temped from loki
Hmm... the strobe mode looks almost like it's a stun baton.
Maybe grab some blue LED strips and do a version of Nightwing's Escrima sticks?

I love your videos please do the big bad Beetleborg helmets specifically Shadow Borg
Dude we use tinker cad for school and I stg I’ve never seen anything that good
How it’s made vibes ngl
Great video Odin!
Thank you Jonathan!
Great Vid Odin and like how show us how to use Tinkercad still thinking getting a 3D printer Like see using 3D parts for projects
Job done well :)
