    Excellent video. It sure will inspire me to continue working on my lawnmower. Btw, on one of my projects I use the same motors, power full and cheap! I'm looking forward to see more of your videos.

    You can also control the max speed of your mower by adjusting a few setting in the transmitters EXPO setting area. By adjusting the rate of input around the center of the joystick you can reduce the max value of the stick input as well as slowing down the reaction of input for accurate slow speed control. I used motors from a Jazzy mobility chair and the 13 inch diameter wheels that chair came with. I also use a sabertooth 32A dual speed controller set up in mixed mode. With the Expo setting adjusted I have a very controllable mower.

    4:46 je to tomo vinkovič srk 70 kosilnica ? trenutno tudi jaz predelujemo to kosilnico na električni pogon z dvemi 250 w motorji. bo to dovolj za pogon v strmine ?

      Tole je Sachs and Vettel motor narejen v osemdesetih, dvotakten. Za kosilnico cca 100kg bodo 250w motorji ok tudi za v strmine.

    Great video. Can you suggest a motor driver for MY1016ZL motor which is compatible for pixhawk.

    • @gregorkobetic
      @gregorkobetic  10 місяців тому

      I dont have experiance with pixhawk, but what I have seen from manual, every motor controller with rc sgnal or pwm signal input should do the job. Look for sabertooth or cytron motor controller

    Hi Gregor. Thank you for this great video series. I'm planning to build a RC mower during the winter. You videos are very helpful for me. I have one question. Should I be considering 12V motors or only 24V? I understand that with 24v I will need lower current to drive the motors. But are there any other benefits? Or is 12v also fine? Thank you and greeting from Poland.

    • @gregorkobetic
      @gregorkobetic  2 місяці тому +1

      Hi, no other benefits. Go with 12V. Alternator for 12V are cheaper. Regards to Poland

    Little help.
    I have 4 motors with this specs:
    Supply voltage: 24V
    Rated current 1.4A
    Rotational speed: 1260 rpm
    Gear: 145
    Would all four be enough to start and have enough power to wriggle through the grass?

    • @gregorkobetic
      @gregorkobetic  10 місяців тому +1

      Hi, sorry I am not shure if I understand this right. Your rpm is 1260/145=8.7? For 25cm wheel you need 75rpm to go 3km/h. Your robot will be too slow. What are you trying to build?

    What about the grass cutting engine, do you have any recommendations for it? Thanks!

    • @gregorkobetic
      @gregorkobetic  Місяць тому +1

      Yes, go with brigs and straton. You can also go with Loncin, they are chinese company with Honda licence I heard. Most brands use those engines like alko, etc... if you want for higher grass with alternator take 10hp and above. Regards

    Hello Gregor! First, thanks for all these videos!!. I have a question, I am going to use the motor (2 motors) My1016Z2 (24v 250w 75RPM), which has a 17mm shaft. I am unable to find track wheels with a similar axle. They are all 16mm. And I'm not very handy. Thank you, from the Basque Country!

    • @gregorkobetic
      @gregorkobetic  6 місяців тому

      Hi, sorry I can't give you a better answer, but why not just drill the hole with 17mm?

      @gregorkobetic  Рік тому

      Hi, yes I am thinking about it for long time. It is hell of the project. I have to sort things out theoretically first, becouse I am a little bit confused when looking ardupilot hardware. I am not shure which hardware is compatible and cost effective. Did you make any progress?

    سلام روز بخیر
    از ویدیو بسیار‌مفیدتون متشکرم و سوالی که داشتم درمورد توپی زنجیری ها را در چه سایزی گذاشتید ؟ با موتور گیربکس دار دس سی ۷۵ دور بر دقیقه .
    میخوام از تجربه شما استفاده کنم که آزمون خطا نکنم
    طبق محاسبه من .توپی موتور ۸ میلی متر و توپی چرخ ۲۵ میلی متر
    یا توپی موتور ۴.۵ ۱۰ دندانه و توپی چرخ ۱۳.۸ میلی متر ۳۳دندانه

    Rather than use arduino why not attach relays direct to your RC receiver?
    Do you think you could have just used the wheelchair motors with better tyres instead of tracks?
    I notice the newer Chinese Rc mowers are using much better brushless motors and differentials to power their tracks now

    • @gregorkobetic
      @gregorkobetic  Рік тому +1

      Hi, you can not attach relays to RC receiver directly. You need some sort of controller to handle the rc signal and control relays.
      For higher slopes you must have 4WD or tracks. If you dont have high slopes you are fine with 2WD and better wheels.
      Brushless motors are better because they have constant torque and no brushess, however motor contollers for brushelss motor are more expensive

    • @janramonmartin
      @janramonmartin Рік тому

      @@gregorkobetic you can easily attach a relay to a receiver - what makes you think you can’t?

    • @gregorkobetic
      @gregorkobetic  Рік тому +1

      @@janramonmartin you can if you use relays for Rc receiver. What you can not do is connect standard relay that you can buy in every electronic shop. Thats all am I saying. Have a nice day!

    *Where is it cheaper to use a hydraulic motor with a magnetic motor boss?*

    • @gregorkobetic
      @gregorkobetic  Рік тому

      I am not shure if I am qualified to answer this question, but long time ago I checked this possibilitie, and I remember that hydraulic motor were very expensive. Not shure how are prices in China now.

    Hi,
    The tracked version is very cool but more expensive.
    Here's my version for 4x4 with chains and two chain tensioners on each side.
    It weighs about 120KG and works great:
    How it turns :
    ua-cam.com/video/ZF2rqSu_Dxs/v-deo.html
    Drive train in detail :
    ua-cam.com/video/7DUQMMLatK8/v-deo.html
    I did have a lot of problems in soft soil with the drive train because of the weight before the two chain tensioners on each side.
