I hate how much sports betting has been getting pushed recently. Either I only just opened my eyes or it’s been getting pushed like crazy recently
In the U.S.A the Supreme court did a thing that really loosened gambling laws in 2018.
Sports betting has (depending on what statistic you use) increased between double or quadruple of it's size since 2017
I know that sports betting only recently went legal for online play in Louisiana. Lot of restrictions got lifted so all these companies trying to become the Belagio of online bets
All the nba UA-camrs I watch are pushing it, it’s sad.
I think it should be pushed less, though 18 year olds should still be allowed to gamble (with limits), cause I'm legally old enough to gamble on options in the stock market (which are far worse imo). I'm lucky that my dad is allowing me to use accounts under his name.

Yeah I work with some guys who always talk about their “big picks” and “parlays”. They talk about their big wins but never a peep about their losses. If betting was a consistent way to make money these companies wouldn’t exist.
The worst part is how much the leagues are pushing it. Every nfl game or ufc fight I watch is sponsored by some sort of gambling company.
If you bet over on someone, they'll play like the MonStars stole their ability to play sports.
If you bet under them, they'll play like they've gotten *juiced* up.
I got a few friends who are in deep holes. Gambling addiction is brutal, and these site pray on it. Everyone online loves talking about their wins, kids will be down a few grand and still posting the bets they’ve hit. It’s vicious man, shame on the already rich people taking these sponsorships man

The biggest misconception with sports betting is that people think if you know a lot about the sport, you'll make money. Sadly that isn't the case, it's all about comparing prices and finding inefficiencies with odds. Also abusing promos. IMO gambling ads should be banned completely, those mfs are so predatory
That is completely not true. Numbers, strategy are huge but those who actually know the sports are even better

You can make money with all strategy and math which I know how to do but people do make money sports betting especially those who are actually good at it. Don’t listen to all these negative youtubers who don’t know anything about betting. There’s always a bunch of people acting like things are impossible that’s why they’re losers who stay where they are in life, have some optimism be positive. I’m way smarter than the industry trust me😂

A sport the industry doesn’t know much about and has the easiest lines is mma, I can make in 1 hour betting ufc what I do in a whole week betting other sports. I am a professional fighter, my understanding of the sport lets me see greater expected value then someone who’s only betting with math

I started with 5$ I was up to 2500 in a month. I lost all of it in 5 days. Then next day I put 50 I won 200 and then lost all again 😭. There is too much pressure to win your ego gets too high that you can’t stop.

It’s frustrating going to see if you won, just to find out one game is off. This has happened to me so much in the past months, that I continue to believe my next bet will hit big. It does take the joy away from watching sports, but it also provides an opportunity to win some money. I tell myself I’m gonna slow down, then the next day I see a slate of games that could potentially yield a profit. It’s all a vicious cycle that some can’t escape. I hit a 4,005 bet on game one of the final with Miami vs Denver and it only cost me 5 bucks 😭. The crazy part is that I was at work and didn’t know what was happening up and till the last 7 mins left of the fourth quarter and all I needed left was jokic to score over 24.5 and was at 18 and Bam to assist over 3.5 and was at 2. It all came down to the last 2 minutes and I was shaking the whole time . My co workers didn’t believe me at first and nor did I that I hit that . Crazy
